In any sort of automated jump in Mario Kart 64 (there were no cannons, but they functioned in exactly the same way), you were still vulnerable to Lightnings, which caused you to lose all of your momentum and make you fall. If Lakitu has to bail you out, he put you about a dozen yards in front of the jump, meaning you lost a lot of time. Automated jumps occurred in Royal Raceway and DK's Jungle Parkway, but I can't remember if there were more.

I see that you dont use the maual drifting mode. I think its a little strange becose it gives you big atdavtiges when racing. Most of the expert players use it( not that i dont think you are pro. You bether than me and i am using Manual drifting).

Automatic drifting allows me to dodge items and obstacles. I can drift just fine in Manual, as well as snake where needed, but it would make me more vulnerable to item attacks. Before that third race you see, I was watching the preview; one person played this race like it was Time Trials and hit every Banana and Fake Item Box on the track.

The Jetsetter comes with unlocking fast Staff Ghosts, but I can't remember for sure.

Oh, two comments~ I think it would really help you to start looking backwards, as in race #1 you get hit by a starman-charged player. It would've been a lot easier to dodge them by looking backwards.

Also, You're saying in your comments about the third race that you don't know how they would join up in a normal room, but that's perfectly possible. When one person goes into a public room, the others can join up via the Mario Kart Channel.

You know what, Overhazard. You really need to start looking backwards when things like starman charged players are coming at you. It makes dodging a lot easier.

I already knew what direction they were coming, and they followed me. I swerved to the side for the reason that if they were playing to win, they would continue along the straight line. You could see that he hit Wii-tard too, who swerved in the other direction.

In other words, this person chased people down.
