@TheSnuffler You seem not to understand it and are one of the polarised mass that misslead parts of anonymous use for what they want... I just can say, you do not understand the world how it is, are too young, or just have no experience yet if you believe the messages that are spread here. SOPA - ok that message was right, but ACTA etc. -> just totally wrong information - study the treaty yourself and then open your mouth. I did, so i have the right to talk about it, you did not...
@blackoutworm wow, good sir, you do not know what you are talking about, and you try to incite people to do crimes, well done, you proved you have no intelligence and just did a crime which falls under US internet law. I am reporting you to youtube. Hope the CIA will monitor your PC - guess they already are.
1) ACTA IS NO BILL - it is an international treaty
2) ACTA IS NO LAW - treaties can not be executed like laws can, they just express good will of taking measures for/against something (like the KYOTO PROTOCOL)
3) ACTA IS NOT AGGRESSIVE - it has undergone a lot of change lately and now does not reduce our freedom
4) ACTA CAN'T BE MADE LAW - SOPA was the law trying to make ACTA executable. - no SOPA means no ACTA.
@winnerxxl Not true. ACTA was signed by 22 countries and continues to be put through. Don't accuse me of false information, I've put up what was given to me
@ArchangelVampire What i wrote is totally true, I am a law student, and for a project i am doing at UNI I chose studying exactly this treaty here. Your information is not totally wrong, but it is incomplete and partly wrong showing, you do not know what the treaty actually says: let me quote you "you need to understand what the bill ACTA is" ACTA is not a bill. It has no effect on anything. ACTA can not be stopped since it is not made by democratic institutions, and therefore it is no law either
@winnerxxl You may be a law-student, and you may technically be right in your assertions. That does not, however, quell the threat that ACTA poses to the Internet. You fail to take into consideration the volatility of law and the sporadic dispositions of judges who, by the wave of their hand, can create precedence for uncalled for legislation, or pushing the mainstream just that tiny bit further that it takes to make things like ACTA a reality.
@ZarathustraDK I do not get what the problem is, ACTA is nothing, and can never be anything. Now judge can take ACTA in consideration when judging since it is not approved by the body of the government, the congress. So, it basically changes nothing, and nobody would even know about it, if some parts of Anonymous were not misslead and paranoid because of SOPA now... we were not warned of the Kyoto protocol either - did it change anything for anybody? - nope...
@winnerxxl Kyoto protocol was not backed by any corporate interests, it was a sham put on by politicians who wanted to rally the green votes to their cause.
ACTA is nothing in the sense that a Men's Club is nothing but a club lacking the female gender. In reality it codifies intent. It streamlines the members in an oath-like submission that is everything but a written and binding agreement. That's bad enough when the population of signed countries is not made aware thereof.
@ZarathustraDK Good sir, you have no idea what the message behind ACTA is? The message is to stop people from stealing intellectual goods such as music etc. And this is not "open information for everyone" this is real stealing, and since some people at anonymous try to be assholes and still want to do piracy, they are the ones that make politicans make up laws like that. not companies...
@winnerxxl Copying is not stealing, it's copying. Information is a non-depletable resource, and it was like that long before copyright came into existence.
They say that they "protect jobs" by curtailing counterfeit goods, yet all they do is protecting their wallet while having slavelabor in the very same countries that copy their goods stitch together most of the crap they're selling.
@ZarathustraDK What I jsut feel is, that you are an anti-sozial person. You seem to not accept laws, which were made to secure our freedom, because you do not understand them. You claim they are not needed, but hell, they are. Just because you do not understand the world, that does not mean that you have to see everything from a single point of view that is misslead, try to question things that "Anonymous" or others tell you.
@ZarathustraDK I can just tell you, when I was still young and not understanding a lot about the world, I was like you, but by the time, you will be able to understand. And then you'll think - what the hell was i thinking back then. Well... that time will come, I can promise you. But i just see that discussing with you is not worth it atm. you do not know what you are talking about, I'm sorry - conversation over.
@winnerxxl ACTA does not secure our freedom, it takes it away if you haven't noticed. Claiming high-ground by calling me an anti-social person and underscoring your age/maturity is nothing but ad hominems and appeals to authority.
If you have some valid arguments in favor of ACTA that isn't dwarfed by the necessity of a free internet devoid of censorship, then I ask you to put them forth. Crippling the net because the media-industry is living in the stone-age is not an argument.
@winnerxxl and that "open for everyone" falls under their definition of stealing. They gonna outlaw the ancient greeks because they heard a song and went around singing it? Nope. This is ridiculous. You don't actually get what it means, do you? You think just because you don't actually steal anything, that it means anything to you? EVERYTHING you put through will be monitored. Everything you WATCH will be monitored.
@garulia17 That is impossible to do, and if you have any understanding of the internet and how it works, you would know that that is impossible. Anyway, if it was possible, what do you have to hide? Are you doing illegal stuff on the internet? Then you are breaking laws and lowering the freedom of others. These treaties, even if people do not understand them, in some way try (but can't since they are only treaties and not law) to save our individual freedom?
@winnerxxl Laws do NOT = good, You just swallow everything you hear. This is what I've been talking about, you're one of the Americans who can't think for themselves. I do know how the internet works, thank you very much, and everything you do already leaves an imprint. All it takes is for them to wire it through their database first, then they can go through it at leisure. I don't commit any crimes, but I prefer youtube to stay alive, thank you very much, which is where i get music
@ArchangelVampire I just want to say - ACTA is not a threat for anyone or anything. Take the Kyoto Protocol for instance. The countries made a "binding" agreement on decreasing their greenhouse gas emissions. (it's so not binding Canada even signed out...). Still nobody is there who is checking whether the countries really try to reach their goals. This is because it is not a fixed law that tells them to or includes punishments if you do not fulfill it. So is ACTA. SOPA tried to make ACTA law.
anonymous is every single person who value a free internet and world....NOW TAKE ACTION!!!....do not wait for anonymous hackers.....TAKE A STAND...YOU HAVE RIGHTS JUST LIKE THE PEOPLE IN CHARGE!.......
The point of the video is NOT TO WAIT FOR ANONYMOUS TO SAVE YOU. YOU ARE ANONYMOUS!!! IT IS TO GET YOU GUYS, AS YOUTUBE USERS, TO STOP THE ACTA, GO WRITE, EMAIL, VOTE OR WHATEVER YOU CAN DO STOP THE BILL.
@r0galik actually, he's right, there might be ppl protesting like in Poland for example, however ppl like those here in belgium have no bloody idea that ACTA even exists :/

People should really take action now.
And I don't mean by hacking websites or taking down important servers and stuff.
I mean really scare people.
Someone who care more for others lives than their own should go out there and kill important people. We have to take action here.
And destroying websites will not send a strong enough signal.
Death to Obama, and death to all the people behind these bills and all the supporters of this bill.
TAKE ACTION. DO IT LIKE THEY DID BACK IN THE DAYS
KILL, KILL!
