  • The cube is modern big business, it grows and becomes indifferent, evil yet none of its makers believe they are while the mindless machine grows and they grind up people and spit them out. Asbestos, fracking, big pharm, etc

  • i think you should have gone in the blue room although it sounds creepy

  • Come on! The title opening looks just like Alien, I mean the letters appearrance.

  • dat framerate

  • white abed!

  • cube zero was ok but cube 2 was the worst

  • I love these films, cult classics.

  • Awesome film; it inspired all of the Saw films.

  • So this is how cheese feels if something cuts it.

  • I've got all 3. Smashing films.

  • the best version

  • holy shit!

  • I have i rubik's cube, and everytime i play with it i think: ''maybe there's some kind of small people playing a creepy game inside of this ._. poor guys :c''

  • ma holy shit.. that fast as lightning!

  • now whos gunna clean that shit up...

  • The director sed, lets just cut the scene!

  • Great special effects... shame about the acting and the script.

The first individual to come through a trap door after the title (I forget who it is) cannot even raise his eyebrows without over-acting... from then on things just get worse.

  • lol how the hell do u survive a trap in the cube movies?

  • "Tis but a scratch!"

  • HEY IT'S VINCE HERE

  • Hey it's vince here with a brand new product!

  • this movie is tight but leaves you with to many questions at the end

  • Candidate for the worst movie of all time.

  • @AussieGossie pretty much this and manos and twilight and the saw movies are all in that running.

  • @AussieGossie I will direct you to any of the films made by Andy Sedaris and politely inform you that you are wrong. Sedaris made 12 films, so there's no way "Cube" could rank in the top 10.

FWIW, The worst movie of all time is "Slapstick" starring Jerry Lewis and Madeline Kahn based on the book by Vonnegut. You couldn't make a movie that bad if you really gave it some effort.

  • @lidjungle I beg to differ... Have you seen Son of the Mask or Master of Disguise yet?

  • This is the guy that plays the observer in fringe.

  • Walter C. Dornez bitches

  • Maybe if they had used laser beams instead of wires... a laser grid I mean. But it's fiction and there's room for everything is that kind of films. So it's irrelevant that the grid was wire or not. The important thing is the creepy mind behind the concept of the cube and its tricks!

  • this is like the first resident evil film where the black guy gets chopped up by the laser beams and you can see him fall apart in the window reflection

  • I made a science Fiction horror movie Called Fatal Mind it's also Cyberpunk it's about a program that makes murders feel the pain of their victims. Go to my channel ad look up Fatal Mind Pilot!

  • @RandomConcepts The wire was moving so fast that you couldn't even see it. If it were razor sharp, pulled tight, and going that fast, I think it could go through bone.

  • did he die?

  • @robertkeeganwalker no, i think he's fine. just falls apart a bit xD

  • is he gonna be okay

  • i never heard of rest in dice

  • i love the mystery about cube

  • Enrichment Center for Aperture Laboratories Does Not Aproove Of Jumping Weighted Storage Cubes.

  • @FourtE2 i'm assuming thats a portal reference which is sadly post dated by this movie. a lot of good things happen before we know it.

  • is that physically possible ?? I suppose if the grid is thrown super, super fast...it wouldn't carry you with it, it would keep you on your feet and get through you...

  • This is no companion cube, that's for sure...

  • yea lol

  • haha resident evil stole this scene totally!

  • So THAT'S what the inside of a Rubik's cube looks like!

  • @8Bit3DS its hell on earth. . . thats why they made them available to the public, every one the solve, it makes the hellishness go away

  • @Irishlad224 you're close. the producer was a fan of hellraiser, and made this movie semi-close to some of its scenes in tribute. it's sad really, after this movie? NONE of the rest of the franchise could even be considered horror. i downloaded them, they're not even scary. i mean, this scared me, and i'm drunk. if i put myself in any of these movies, THIS one would scare the living sh*t out of me. i couldn't do it.

  • He got trapped in Chuck's training room

  • ... Did he live?

  • That wire couldn't have killed him because the frames supporting the structure would have knocked him down. Continuity failure.

  • Is the picture meant to be kind of "jaded"? I don't know how to explain it...

    This scene is amazing tho!

  • Made on a budget of $365,000 Canadian, just shows that you don't have to throw 100 million at a film for it to be good.

  • @hunkatiel

yeah but $365000 doesnt leave you much change for decent actors and you end up having to buy shitty actors like in this film (and the next cube film for that matter)

  • @darockk Yeah, the film didn't rely on big name stars or over the top special effects. What I liked about it was it was an original concept which you rarely see from big studios anymore. I didn't like the 2nd Cube because, well, it had already been done. Btw, this came out 5 years earlier than the 1st Resident Evil.

  • AAH GROSSS

  • That was an impressive shot. Crazy effects.

  • hello death

  • isint there a game based on this?

  • @mitchygmitchy LOL NO you silly

  • trapped in a death cube? Well then call 1-800-IMFUCKED

  • Should of picked the blue room

  • @XxTearsforeverxX This room is..green

    Lol :D

  • And if you call NOW, you can get a second Slap Chop for Free! But wait! In this one time special TV offer, you won't only get TWO Slap Chops for the price of one, but also a free Graty with NO EXTRA CHARGE!

  • @SonofBac you're gonna love my nuts

  • atleast he died quick unlike the prequels of this movie.

  • You are here. Wow, he totally got "cubed" there, sliced apart along three axis

  • Dicey..

  • lol when i went to play cube 1 i started it and i was actualy whatching cube zero rofl i was like wtf

  • LOL if your short..

  • @sethicor I know exactly what you mean with the vague flashbacks

  • This scene always astonished me with it's cold, emotionless, mechanically precise brutality.

  • This is the worst horror movie ever.I cant even call this horor. It never scared me and i was kinda boring.

  • @raulserban27 It's not horror its like more of a thriller and action.

  • @10gamertag yes but if you try to searth it on internet or watch it on tv it will always say is it horror.

  • @raulserban27 Dude it was made 14 years ago !Now we can make completey horrific movies!

  • @raulserban27 i think the whole idea of the movie is supposed to scare ya in a mind bending kinda way

  • Everyone betrays the Autistic person.

  • Ohhhhhhhhhhhh okay. That's who he is. Imagine him with black hair, holding a cane and making Jensen Ackles feel really small hehe. He plays Death occasionally on Supernatural.

  • poor guy's life just fell apart...

  • @Hashpotato LOL

  • ol slice 'n' dice up to his old tricks again

  • watch cube zero to get the back story, but it is a different cube and characters, but you still get the back story

  • Cube is one of my favorite movies ever - original and interesting storyline, great acting and visual effects. Worth, Leaven and Holloway were my favorite characters. Too bad they died. Anyway I love this film and think that Cube series influenced Saw franchise, House of 9, Kill Theory and many other similar films. Cube is one of my fav horrors of the 90's - along with Deep Rising, Lord of Illusions, Copycat, Candyman, Body Snatchers, Alien 3, Man's Best Friend, Disturbing Behavior and Scream

  • @Magnolia296

great acting? you've got to be kidding me right?

  • I love 2:50 .

  • fatality...

  • did someone just died?

  • @xXHarryR18Xx of course not, they all lived in the cube happily ever after.

  • @CHENYUNKE :)

  • Some movies ideas are scary. This ones idea is horrifying.

  • Should be called

    "cubed" =D

  • Is he dead?

  • @PS1439 No, he just couldn't keep it together.

  • @daftvampire16 SLAP CHOP!

  • @ProblmSolvd youre gonna love my nuts

  • looks like a Alderson had a literal breakdown

  • i wish i'd put Cube on dvd before IFC started showing commercials. that's the only channel it's ever on. maybe EPIX will show it someday... before they start showing commercials, too...

  • Alderson don't like this.

  • That was yummy.

  • It sucks to know that all they had to do was stay put.

  • did Death just die? /:0

  • My grandad went that way.

  • This scene teaches you so much about life and gives a very valuable lesson: Never step into unknown cubes.

  • too bad they focused so much on the special effects they forgot to give it a real story.

  • @zackhanscom

More like /you/ focused too much on the special effects and completely ignored the human interaction, which is what the movie was about.

  • I remember my Dad showed me this when I was like 8

  • is that scene part of the director's "cut" ?

  • And as this video finishes, suddenly the world around you fades into a cube. There is a blonde girl crying in the corner, and a middle aged man in the middle, with slow breathing.

You wish you were simply watching a video on youtube, but no, your mind has just become that hysterical- because of the cube.

  • instead of the body parts falling straight down to the ground they just fly off the body like "aw shit im outta here" thumbs up if you agree

  • what the fuck hit him anyway? and how?

  • NOOOO!!! Not Alderson! He was my favorite character!

  • wow um.... well, rest in pieces they say.

  • Cube from 1969 is better.

  • @ICreateMyOwnDestiny whats ur last name...?

  • Comment removed

  • the framerate... is it supposed to be that low?

  • god damn sometimes it sucks being young when something comes out, ive always had vague flashbacks of this movie and never knew it, i always thought resident evil stole their laser grid cut scene from somewhere! epic movie though.

  • @Sethicor resident evil is awesome too =p

  • @Sethicor u honestly took the words from my mouth lol

  • @Sethicor well yeah, this was 1997. unless res came out first i doubt it. although i will do damn near anything to fuck milla jovavich. god shes so sexy and talented.

  • ARGH listen CUBE>SAW--meaning CUBE CAME FIRST. And how glorious it is...

  • Believe it or not, I actually had a dream where I was a high ranking Cube technician. As real as it seemed, I had no problem doing my job.

  • yeah FUCK SAW films

  • Part Hellraiser (namely part IV), part Saw, what a hybrid.

  • @wenaolong came out b4 saw so no not part saw saw is part this

  • Hypercube is even worse.

  • God forbid they don't build something like this for real!

  • it's a bit dark brown, the image!
