  • Magnificent

  • Nicely done.

  • I like your style.:)

  • hi czrider 01 is this ms 20 patched through to any other device,? the small button next to that wheel on the left of the key board, what is that?

  • won-der-full

  • copyrighted demo? LOL

perfect sound, you convince me of saving money for one, love it! :)

  • Damn I really want one of these things! I assume the reverb and delay are what cause the arpeggios to sound like chords. Nice technique! Also excellent playing and amazing sounds!

  • @shineon68 ditto!

  • fabulous! The ms20 never ceases to amaze. Of course it helps to be talented :) Can really hear JMJ in this. Thanks for posting.

  • Excellent composition to demonstrate this technique. I do this sometimes with my Polivoks. It sounds amazing!

  • i invented a dj solo (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0: number keys; -: pause):

    7---8--9--------7---8--9--------98989878989878789898987898789898989898789-9-9-987-789-9-9-9-9-9878789-9-9-9-

  • Starting at 0:24 (and going as far as I can accurately guess); Cmin root inversion, Fmin 2nd inversion, Gmin root inv., Cmin 2nd inv., Cmin root inv., @ 0:37 he tosses it up 1 octave, A-flat Maj root inv., F min root inv., G Maj root inv., G min root inv., C min 2nd inv., a variety of notes between 1:02-1:04, C min root inv., then an octave change of who knows what degree..........then 1:19 and on

  • røyksopp forever

  • wow very nice video :-)

  • Just amazingly beautiful !

  • dEAR cz RIDER ! wONDERFUL! how have you patched this? .. it is truly beautiful how the sound seems to gently morph from strings to ambient wind..

reverb delay phaser GOT IT ..but what are you tweaking with the left hand and can it be assigned to a KORG FOOTPEDAL???

  • Nice demo. Also pretty cool to see someone nail an arpeggio that fast on complicated chords like Equinoxe.

  • This is the sound!!!!!

Playing, ridiculous. Made me go out and get an MS20 again from this vid.

  • dude, i have an ms20, how do you get it to play chords?

  • holy shit thats awesome

  • Really impressive. Like Klaus Schulze.

  • you must be German to produce that 70 s sound

  • Yeeeee!!!!11

  • Really cool! More please! :)

  • WOW!

  • The Monophonic Synthesizer eh? If the Universe had a voice, this must be what it would sound like.

  • Nice.

  • Rock.

  • Great chord progress, nice to follow visually while you're playing... Just love c minor too :-)

  • is there anywhere you can get a MS-20 for under $1000?

  • @jcskater89

If you were lucky on the fleamarket or pawnshops. Make sure that you have the possibility to test it first. I love mine, its selfossicllation sounds so unique...

  • dude... besides the obvious awesomeness of you, your gear, and your shredding, i just wanted to make the comment that you are a hell of a composer. this is a gorgeous, extremely dynamic short piece. a little compression/EQ and this would not be out of place in any major motion picture, or pink floyd stadium set for that matter.

  • Yeah dude!!!!!!!

Way to use ANYTHING that will alter the original sound and still have it be musical.

    Captain tweaker.

  • That. was. intense!!!

You should score a film soundtrack to this.

  • Absolutely great!

    Which reverb did you use?

  • how do i learn to play cool shit like that??? I'm a bass player that wants to learn keyboard too for synth backup!

  • Awesome, I think but I am not absolutely sure, but you are just like me. I cant get my pinky on my right hand to be very effective on the higher octaves. JD 800 here.

  • fkn well done mate ... big ups for your experimentalness !!!

sounds wicked .. love to get my hands on an MS series synth 1 day...

  • What??? How did you do that? In my experience a monosynth doesn't do that. Is it possible to do this with other monosynths (like a Moog Rogue) or just an MS-20. Seriously, I'd like to know.

  • You can do that with every monosynth. He just uses a looooooooooooooong reverb. So when he hits one note it sounds for a long time. So you can hit another note and they both play together...The reverberated signal is in front so you don't hear that he plays arpeggios. Of course this is only usefull for drone like pads etc. You cannot play clean polyphonic leads. But it sounds pretty cool!

Hope you know what i mean. My "technical" english is not the best ;)

  • play fast arpeggios and drow it in reverb

  • @Synthia81 Just use a truckload of delay/reverb and play the arpeggios fast enough. The notes will sustain for long enough to sound like chords.

Add a dash of phaser and some minors for the Jarre Effect (TM).

  • i want one.

  • Whe will this synth be available in the stores? :-)

    Amazing sounds!

  • The Korg MS-20 was actually released in 1978 and has been out of production for quite some time. I don't know exactly how he's making the reverb effect, though.

  • hmm.. with a reverb effect perhaps? :D

  • Haha yeah that would make sense. I guess it's just a pedal but I'm not sure what kind he uses.

  • go back to 1978

  • I didn't know that this was monophonic. Sounds amazing though.

  • When does the album come out?

  • love the 0:10-0:16 part,sounds futuristic :)

  • Nice FX!!! what did you use?

  • holy shit

  • very clever - and sounds interesting!

  • But this will work on any synth, its the big reverb and fast playing of the keys that makes the arpeggios right? Like a C4 SID chord arpeggio.

Cool sound tho, sounds like korg demotapes from back in the days

  • lemme see the patch!
