What Horizontal Nystagmus Looks Like

I found out I had nystagmus when I was about 12ish, but they couldn't figure out why. It just started one day, I was told then that that was unusual, that was over 20 years ago and I haven't learned much more about it. Nice to know there are people out there educating others. Thank you! I am grateful my eyes aren't worse than they are, that would suck!

I have horizontal end-point nystagmus. My ophthalmologist thought I was on drugs as a teen, but I wasn't. Apparently my grandfather had it as well.

I have Horizontal Nystagmus and myopia. I wanted to take laser surgery for myopia, but it is impossible,because of nystagmus:( So it seems like i am doomed to wear glasses all of my lie and forget about ever seeing better (right now i have -15 on the left eye and -12 on the right).

It is nystagmus at extreme gaze.... i always thought it could be normal

There is such a thing as fatigue nystagmus. That same jerking of the eyes as seen in the video can be caused by looking at a stimulus at maximum deviation in excess of 30 seconds.
