I managed to get my dosage lowered to 4mg of risperidone a day. It helps me to get to sleep when I am having a difficult time. Only thing is that I am seriously dehydrated and wake up every morning with an Arabs sanny for a mouth and put on weight due to dehydration. Thank god I got off that injection. It was too much and made feel sick. It also gave me man boobs and weight gain.

"There is an overeliance on drugs and increasingly people are not given a choice" we are told. If "mental illness" exists there can be no more a "choice" than there would be with case of pneumonia. These people are therefore saying there is no "mental illness" so it follows there is nothing wrong with them. They can't have it both ways.

As you can see I want to refuse the mental health services and medication I am taking. As soon as I refuse their service I will probably be put on a compulsion order?

how did you get on with this? I am cosidering taking myself off meds, but due to past experiences I probably wont be telling my GP and will continue to bluff it

I am unsure whether you include in this stopping taking your prescribed medication or not. Your psychiatrist and the Community Mental Health Team would undoubtedly be concerned about the prospect of you becoming unwell again if you did suddenly refuse all services/treatment. If there were signs that your mental health was deteriorating, they could reassess at any point to determine whether you required treatment under the Mental Health Act.

@Fud112lsd Best service is foreign service. Having been involuntary sectioned, forced medications via threat of violence upon myself, the patient! On leaving hospital with immediate effect, stopped taking medications, then hooked on a medication for parkinson disease, this due brain damage of those medications. Then took a flight out the country, went to work, that was late 2003, those are facts, no placebo there... Abolish Compulsive Treatments. ACT, now for all our daughters & sons.

Thank you for your email. You asked about possible problems which might arise if you wrote to the mental health agency involved with you to say you no longer wished to be a patient. As an informal patient you can in law decide to refuse the services that are being currently offered to you.

The medication is poisen. Where can I find a group of people who share the same point of view in Scotland? I would happily get involved in protests etc. Before being diagnosed and weaned onto the medication I actually had a life.

abysmal to force psych drugs on people- the so called "mentally ill" are being mistreated world wide- the 2007 act reminds me of Nazi Germany- also I feel it is a small part of The New World Order- a handful of wealthy and powerful who call themselves The Illuminati have been lying and deceiving since ancient times- strike down the 2007 Act!

I think it is great you acted in this way. It was a difficult thing to do on a whole lot of levels.

I would argue that medication itself isn't even accurately administered.
