William, your are most likely Scoyts Irish, descent/ Ulster Scots. During the Plantation of Northern Ireland Many Scots came and settled in Ireland, Drennan is a very Scottish name and your Scots Irish Decendants most moved to the USA to escape Religious persecution. Take it from an Ulster Scot!
I stand by my previous comment, especially in relation to the fiddle playing of Drennan. I urge anyone who claims to have an intrest in music to check out Sean Smtyth and his band Lunasa..truly awesome stuff!
Im not against the focus of this ie praising God, but Ulster scots as a languague is nonsense!eg. how can the use of a "wee daftie" to describe a person with a mental disability be acceptable? It should be renamed culchie talk,in essence thats what it is...and thats the spoken word, don't get me going on the written!
P.S Check out Sean Smyth,Donal O'Connor and Cathal Hayden for some REAL fiddle playing, Willie Drennan is a sorry excuse for one..I speak as a fiddle player of Irish and Scots trad.
Thank you for the video and the song. I love this kind of music. It seem to have a little bit of country and bluegrass music the first song. Oh God, this is my music. I call you: "born again christians rednecks(rednecks in a good Godly way, no offence brothers). And by the way: YOU GUYS HAVE TO BE IRISH. HOOOOURY MY BROTHERS IN CHRIST. CAN YOU GUYS PLAY: "WILL THE CIRCLE BE BROKEN"
