I wish more loco's sounded like them, i grew up listening to these in the distance (I lived near a mine they goto), awesome sound... especially from a standing start on a slight uphill grade!

Couple of things I noticed were the driver shuts off with only a handful of wagons over the peak ( loads up the dynamic adjacent those trees ) and plenty of flat spots (wheels) on those wagons near the rear.
This area is single track with passing loops. This particular video is at Briaba loop, with the train on the main line.
First time I've watched this vid since the 2600s left the Newlands system. Brings back some good memories.

Great sound, U26 always did sound excellent! Shame they modified the cabs, lost their great GE looks, but good for the crew comfort!
