  • Sounds almost like alex singing ? Anyways, this is one of my favorite Rush tunes because it has a really good rythm and solid mix to it.

  • I saw them in Baton Rouge, LA in l980 and they played Permanent Waves (All but maybe one cut) and introduced a couple of new ones from their upcoming album...and Tom Sawyer and Limelight were first heard live in that tour. The album came out a few months later, and the rest is history

  • GOOD LORD!! Sounds as if they needed to do a LIL MORE WORK with the sound on this one!! My concrete BASEMENT has less "echo" in it!!

  • I photographed Rush in 75 and 77. To see the shots go to 70srockphtos (.com)

  • They played this when I saw them at The Joe in Detroit Feb 1, 1980. Great song!

  • This song got me laid in 1982.....'nuff said.

    Rush Rules

  • @pender2112x aw way to ruin a sweet song for me dude... xD

  • God I love this song

  • haha everyone wanted to see them do it throughout the 80s. they played it every time I saw them for my first three concerts (I saw snakes and arrows 3 times and time machine once =P )

  • thats ill howd you get this

  • The Best Band,,, EVER!!!!

  • B side of my P.W.record was worn clean out when I got this record. This one and Natural Science are the sleepers on that Disc. Fantastic memories...Thanks

  • The Hemispheres tour was the best Rush show ever. I was there and it was AMAZING with Geddy belting out great older stuff like "Working man" and Fly by night" (not compilations of the old stuff) as well as the newer Hemispheres stuff. I can say that I became a Rush fan at that concert. It was at the Saginaw Civic Center in Michigan.

  • all i can say is "FUCK YEAH"

  • afu**ing amazing. one of the most underplayed and underrated rush songs

  • More like 1979 from the Dayton soundcheck recording.

  • Nice. Never heard this.

  • some of the most thoughtful and interesting lyrics Peart has ever written, the latter stanzas of this song, really a bad-ass poem, are mindblowing.

  • cheers for that mate-a really under-rated rush classic

  • wow

  • Oh, they almost played this live back then? Aghh!!!

  • Kick Ass!!!!!

  • Extremely cool .....thanks for posting this !!!

  • great post ... thank you so much

  • cant imgaine why they never played this on the 1980 tour.

  • we all wish they did

  • Exactly! Amazing, and decent quality on this bootleg.

  • @earlymtv can't understand why they don't ever play it live at all !

  • @earlymtv All this time I could have sworn they played it when I saw them. The only song off Permanent Waves I thought not done was Different Strings. Hmmm....

  • very cool !!!
