  • @grryan1 shut up you complete and utter dick

  • I would go on and on and on like this when I was little. I don't think I had/have Aspergers though. I think I just liked to hear myself talk. :)

  • yeahh.....another annoying kid with parents who think he is special.

  • your kids wierd but thats cool

  • ass burgers lol

  • dam whats he chating LOL goes on 4 10.33 LOL

  • I'm still like this. "Conversations" with me are essentially information drops.

  • Oh look that's gross his plate is empty he must have ate his Ass Burgers. He's cured of his butt burrgers till they grow back.

  • i just recently found out i might have aspergers syndrome so i looked it up on here and seen this video and realized that your son is doing exactly what i did as a child and i still do sometimes when i learn something new i love to learn and im sure your son is the same way

    loved the video thanks

  • @Aspergerqueen It is something that happens for no reason (like one day you wake depressed for no reason)?

  • Comment removed

  • No doubt I grew up with ADHD, and I just beginning to suspect that I may have AS also.

That could probably explain why I was so addicted to snakes, sharks, prehistoric animals and dinosaurs, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, video games, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, DBZ, and all that stuff, and then talk about it non-stop while I repelled potential friends away and brought upon my own demise.

  • @DwyaneWadeCounty they're called hobbies and you're a loner. you're not sick you just need to find people who like the same things.

  • omg! This kid knows more about wolves than wolves do! lol

  • @mumenschantz I'm sorry that this concept is too complex for you to understand.

  • Because "How was your day," is useless chit chat and not important. Information about wolves is interesting. What's the problem?

  • @mumenschantz Aspergers isn't an illness, it's a difference.

  • I get a bit like that with things I've been researching recently, but I've learned to only talk about it when I'm asked... the problem is that once I'm asked I don't know hos much they want to know or when I should stop <D

  • My teacher suggested I could have Asperger's. My mom does not want to believe it and every time I talk about my interests, she shushes me.

Today, I had a meltdown and she punished me for being "spoiled" :(

  • @lauraps2 im sorry to hear that. im going threw the same thing

  • @Aspergerqueen thats exactly how i felt i still do occasionally : / feel completely lonely asif no one around you even acknowledges your there

  • This sounds like me. That's so amusing.

  • im 18 years old was diagnosed with AS many many years ago when he hits like 14-16 keep a close eye on him im not sure if it was just me or this is common with most people with AS tend to get really depressed : / its the worst i just wish my familly was there for me more during it

  • @lovemetal2010 It is something that happens for no reason (like one day you wake depressed for no reason)?

  • This is so much like listening to my 12 year old, who has been diagnosed with Asperger's for several years now. It is AMAZING what they seem to have in common, how he talks is sooo much like my son, the rate, subject, pace, inflections... wow.

  • sounds like some thing from the national geographic channel

  • Sounds a lot like my daughter...minimal eye contact also. I think after discovering that my daughter is an Aspie, I think I learned that I might be an Aspie also. :)

  • Ha ha ha It's like looking back into my childhood.

Now I just corner people at work, or at home until I am finished talking about interests:)

  • i just found out my son has ASD. Can you please tell me what that plastic thing on the tavle is that our son keeps playing with?

  • @choochiface09 the plastic thing is the cover to my daughter's highchair tray. River's favorite toy, and what he would be playing with given the option, are Beyblades.

  • ...Wow....that is me on a regular basis O.o

  • I guess to him "how are you" is kinda just a pointless, uninteresting question to him. Now talking about something he's in to is INTERESTING. He's obviously one of the 10% geniuses that Autism produces. Not a bad thing.

  • I wish I could reply to all of the kind posts on here, but most of the time I don't know what to say other than thank you so, so much. it makes me so happy to hear from other parents, and especially from all of you other aspies sharing your own experieinces. please keep the sweet comments and personal stories coming. :-)

  • @sunshinequeen22 I don't know you, your son, or your situation with him, but it seems extrememly rude to me for you to post such negative comments about him on the internet.

I would venture to say that most of your "problems with him" stem from misunderstanding on both your parts, and I would assume that there is a lot of resentment stemming from all that misunderstaning.

  • hi my son have 11 years old with asperger and hi speaks very similar, he memorizes jokes and tell them on the diner table, some times happen to be so long that last the entire diner... its very refreshing see a kid that looks so normal doing this, thanks.

  • what a cool kid. my brother has asperger's. i don't know if i have it, i've only been diagnosed with ADHD. i get obsessed a lot with animals to, i love wolves, foxes, cats, any type of animals. loved this video. i'm subscribing.

  • too cute! :)

  • River is a treasure. Solid gold he is. The world needs him.

  • I love kids with Aspbergers. They are so amazing.

  • Reminds me of myself. I'm obsessed with random military related history, or just trivia, which I enjoy sharing, which few people I know find interesting. I wish I could learn subjects like Math and chem as well as I know these strange facts. But I guess I'll strive for a military history degree because as they say when life gives you lemons...

  • HAHAHAHAHA! I recognize myself so much when i think about it ;) I am an aspie too and i talk like this to my mother very often but about my interest: Computers :)

  • I've always done this kind of thing - been filled with information and I can get into moments where I don't stop talking about what may be interesting me at that moment. When I was younger my mother always told me off for being so quiet when in crowds - said people would think I was unfriendly (I never understood the logic). To this day I have to make a huge effort to talk to new people and small talk is a mystery. But mainly I store so much trivial information it's often overwhelming to others!

  • I'm currently only a suspected Aspie, but I do the same thing, usually with fictional stuff, though x.x *has a very large imagination*.

  • Hahah, I'm an aspie, and I sometimes do this to my wife early in the morning. :P I usually get to hear what time it is, and some complaint about "too much information too early in the morning".

My daughter, however, seems to enjoy it.

  • @antiHUMANDesigns your comment made my day. i hope my son will be married with children and still be able to be himself too! :-)

  • @nataliserene That feels so good to hear! Usually people attack me for reasons I don't understand after I've posted a comment. Anyways, do not worry about your sons future. Out of experience, there are a set of humans that value an aspie mind over a neurotypical. "No one loves like an aspie", and the loyalty. I've had no trouble with girls in my life, apart from my choice of girl, possibly. Aspergers is all about untapped potential, and at some point that potential will get tapped.

  • @antiHUMANDesigns "like" x10!! :-)

  • @nataliserene i would marry your son :)

  • I am very grateful for having Asperger’s Syndrome. It has been a valuable asset. But it did make childhood harder for me. I think it is a little easier today because of the greater awareness.

  • I'm recently turned 16, I have aspergers adhd add ocd and depression, I find it hard to understand why I don't get invited to places ect but I also share a high interest in different things, I quite enjoy mathematics but I don't like the work I do not do the work, I do home school and I just at the end of the term complete the test of the whole terms/years work and get A+'s I also have a fact bank of everything I just use logic to give you what could be confusing to normal people. My I.Q is 147

  • @megaMilkman69 thank you for your comment, you sound very bright. you would probably really enjoy reading a book called "look me in the eye" by john elder robison.

  • Thumbs up for " Biologists get a lot of money" That had me cracking up, OMG, bless you all. What an amazing video. (I really needed to laugh tonight)

  • If only all children had a chance to be this smart!! Love

  • More people should be like this boy. He's the opposite of dull. He's got a tremendous gift wrapped inside his brain, and I'm sure he'll find a way to use it to his benefit throughout his life.

  • @Bunker91 Best comment ever,ty

  • I've been living with Aspreger's for 25 years now, and this reminds me of my young self. The struggles are worth it =)

  • @Lkenmaner you cured ?

  • You have a very smart little boy right there! The way he can just drag up information like that is incredible.

  • I have a sister with Aspergers and I see a lot of similarities in the way River and my sister speak. Also, I myself like wolves a lot, and this was a nice video to watch to learn about them. He's a smart kid! :-)

  • @threadbarecomedy Thank you!

  • He's looking around the room alot, from being an aspie myself that might be either a tic/ cuz he doesn't wanna make eye contact or he gets distracted by the noises in the background which is alot louder to ppl with AS

  • @EpicMandaChan1992 I think it's both, actually.

  • My son is also 8 with Aspergers. The similarities between our boys is startling. They way he speaks...never losing his focus while appearing distracted by things around him, the way his hands are used telling a story, the voice inflection, all the manurisms...wow, it's like looking at my own son here. My husband and I are amazed. Many aspergers children are highly gifted in music, mine plays piano. Also the Feingold diet has helped with hyperactivity, eye contact, and social skills.

  • @jfitz12sd What is the feingold diet? i'll have to look that up -- very interesting. we started river on l-carnosine and have seen some mild improvement with social skills and executive functioning.

  • @jfitz12sd Live by the Feingold diet

  • @phenotype347 we know what people think fellow moms! Do not deter! These videos are for the support that we know other parents need. I just wanna say that you rock! My boy has struggles but is ultimately a driving force in my life....he loves so purely and without prejudice the people who are close to him. He is so smart and funny, the other issues we have we deal with but do not dwell on. Feeding his hunger for knowledge is like filling a bottomless pit! These kids rock and we know it!

  • @missswanky90 Thank you!

  • He sounds like my 6 year old with asperger syndrome! He's Awesome!

  • Fast forward damn

  • ...Why does he remind of me of myself?

  • If you have had the bad Aspergers like me and got better like myself then you will know that having Aspergers is just a chemical reaction that prevents you from doing normal things half the time, but you are still a normal person, you just need a cure, when you are healed you are smarter than many at things you are best at due to it also being an advantage

  • hans' syndrome at its best is when the person w/ it says to his doc "bugger off wanker"!!!!!!!!

  • out of all the kids who have asbergers hes actually smart and not annoying i have nothing bad to say about him

  • I can remember going on and on about my obsessions like medicine, snakes, the Titanic, and video games. In fourth grade the only time I spoke in school was when I was describing the Titanic. He taught me more about wolves in 10 minutes (which was interesting) than I will learn in high school. I'm curious, did he ever have social issues (because it is a common asperger symptom).

  • @putaface101 i am not "claiming" he has this. he's been dx'd by 3 specialists, and i highly doubt you have the creditials to make or question a dx bc if you did, you would know that kids with aspergers are bright and do lead successful adult lives with careers and families of their own.

  • @nataliserene then that makes them normal... doesn't it? yup it does.

  • @putaface101 stop fucking trolling this mother, whats your problem?

  • @school1is1for1punks1 its offensive and heartbreaking to see parents label or think their kids have something wrong with them. He obviously amazingly bright and just plain amazing. a teachers dream. I was labeled by my dumb ass mother. just like this women is doing. nothing sucks more than hearing your own mother announce to the world that your "different" just for the sake of attention and pity.

  • @putaface101 i would love to punch you...YOU are offensive not to mention an idiot. She is truly showing how amazing these kids are...maybe you should have one and then u might have a leg to stand on. I bet this kid is a hundred times smarter than you. This mother is not showcasing that he is different, but how his difference makes him amazing and interesting so as to put off stigmas created by dumb asses like you. Get a life...leave us and our freaking amazing kids alone u creepy stalker.

  • @missswanky90 thank you!!

  • my son is just like this, his subjects of choice right now are Mario, volcanos and lava. Love this video!! He has been dx'd with Aspergers and ADHD by 3 clinicians.

  • Just a talkitive kid, no Apsergbla blah blah blah, or whatever all the yuppies of today wanna call it.

  • My family name means Wolf in Gaelic. Your son has enlightened me today. Do you know where he found his information on Wolves? I would love to talk to your son, River, one day. My son is 20 and has Asperger Syndrome. He is an amazingly talented musician (6 instruments and sings) and is my heart.

  • Big beautiful eyes. My sons is aspergers and he has those big beautiful eyes too.

  • he reminds me of my son! they are so smart it just amazing!

  • Autistic / Aspergers kids have it much better today.

The Internet has so much information. Back in the 60's it was near impossible to get enough info..

Also, the Internet allows kids to learn about others HFA / Aspies. Again back in the dark ages it was so easy to feel like we were the only one and were freaks.

Hopefully, they don't try to cram drugs down their throats anymore.

Maybe the next generation will not have so many negative people, and call today the dark ages.

  • he's so smart and cuteeee!

  • Regarding single-word answers to 'simple' questions such as "How was your day?", I am exactly the same way. It always caught me off guard and confused me.

I could never figure out exactly what information they were looking for (question not specific enough) or understand why they were interested or wanted such information.

  • Anybody with Aspergers: Test yourself for LYME (blood under microscope also) and HPU (!), have your stool (not urin!) tested for mercury and other heavy metals after taking a high dose of chlorella (maybe 50 pills) or another chelator (MicroSilica by Biopure), but only under the supervision of a physician that is using the Dr. KLINGHARDT protocolls for it! You will be amazed! Microbes in you produce 100 x more microtoxines with todays electromagnetic exposure. Aspergers is a medical condition!

  • Your little guy is amazing!

  • Smart boy! articulate too. His intonation, pitch, etc sounds perfectly normal..are you sure he has Aspergers? Most kids go through phases of intense interest in particular subjects. Anyhow I like how he really gets into the subject, his enthusiasm is contagious! Also I think it's cute when he says "subdorian" when he meant to say "subordinate" :D Maybe when he's older he could be the next David Attenborough & narrate a wildlife documentary about wolves :)

  • @sonicblast98 - thank you. i'm not a doctor, but he was diagnosed as being on the spectrum by three different specialists -- a child psychologist dx'd pdd-nos, the school lssp and diagnostician dx'd moderate to severe hfa, and the md who runs a specialty autism clinic dx'd aspergers. asperger's just seems the most fitting to me and that doctor seemed to be the most qualified to make a dx. he confuses word pronunciations a lot and makes up his own alter word if it sounds more logical to him.

  • @nataliserene Could he have NLD (Nonverbal Learning Disorder)? That's what I was diagnosed as. I don't know if that necessarily falls on the Autism or Aspergers spectrum, do you?

  • @sonicblast98 This kid ROCKS!!!

  • @sonicblast98 He is most definitely an Aspie. The pitch and intonation is a huge give away, as well as between info he says 'and stuff like that' or 'lie this' or the pauses between words. Also the restarting of a line of information he has recorded. Probably after only having read it once.

Loved his video, thanks so much for posting!! x

  • Yay River! LOL cute- I love animals too. :) (-another Aspie)

  • Thank you I'm researching for my grandchild and this has been extremely helpful. He is a delight!

  • an amazing boy. you should be proud.

  • I loved this video! The genetics in my family are strong so most of my family has AS, aunts, uncles, grand parents both side, my parents, me my brother my niece, my kids and my grand daughter! I know only one other family like mine. My parents would say I sounded like a broken record because I'd go on & on, detail by detail just as your AWESOME son does :)! I'm proud to be this way :) I think this is an incredibly valuable record of AS! Thank you for letting us have this privalege! Hope you'll

  • @Malesande Thank you so, so much! :-)

  • My son does this, EXACTLY! Same mannerisms and all. Thank you for making me smile. :)

  • i have Aspergers as well, and thoroughly enjoyed River's interest in Wolfs. He is awesome! thank you Natalie.

  • what an interesting child. From this video, his disorder is no real hindrance. but i dunno jack about jack so...

  • My grandson middle name is River he has aspergers, bi polar and ADHD. His Native American name is Wolf. Just sharing. He is now 12 and Aspergers really makes life interesting.

  • what does this have anything to do with Asperger's?

  • Smart boy. Likes teaching, huh?

  • thanks! :-)

  • he is great!

  • thank you so much! :-) he means the world to me and i'm so proud of him!
