  • Does anyone know if Cannon's ice blue, with dark blue top and red interior was a signature series Mark IV ? I'd like to find some pictures of one of those cars.

  • bizzare but enjoyable.

  • Whisper quiet babes -- Rolls Royce among other manufactures were outraged by that perfection; Cadillac and Buick, too, were amazed that Lincoln had pulled that off, clearly staking new and expanded claims in their august markets ... more so than ever! To think, too ... all those LOUD Chevrolet and European cars, mated to what invariably seem fittingly tacky or haughty owners and aficionados ... hideously overrated engineering messes, with mind-numbing idle noise & social status pollution.

  • I had one just like this one, triple white.

  • the only reason I used to watch Cannon was to see the Lincoln.

  • LOL

  • I used to own a '72 Mark IV, the best looking Lincoln ever made, it was all black inside and out and loaded. I miss that beast.

Lincoln wird weiter geträumt, nie wieder wird es solche Autos geben.Umbedingt für

die nächste Generation sammeln.Gruß aus Germany Erwin

  • very cool. dig that ride.

  • Cannon was an Awesome show! That guy was awesome!!! This takes me back to yesteryear. RIP William Conrad

  • this is the nicest lincoln of all time 1972 was the nicest year with the cool front bumper not ruining the beautifull grille. I love it

  • The lincoln in "canon" was actually william conrad's own vehicle. the shows producers thought it was just right for the character

  • I had forgotten all about Cannon and his big belly riding around in the car. Those were good shows too! nice car!

  • Lincoln also had a Cartier designer series.

  • Thanks so much for posting this. This takes me back to my childhood watching Cannon tooling around in his latest Mark (Ford always updated his vehicle to the current model year throughout the series' run). It was a more innocent time, when bigger was better, and when giant Lincolns and Cadillacs ruled the highways...

  • My dad had one of these in blue.

wasn't it around this time , that lincoln put out the designer series Continetal?

I think there was a Bill Blass version, and Halston version, and another one if I recall

  • mines like that but it has four doors instead of two! i wish mine was smaller like yours but at least its white which is like the best color

  • you must be talking about another Lincoln model as the IV was only a two door breed.

  • In 1972 the front bumper could be had with the cross bar or without it was an option, part of the appearance group. also the opera windows were optional $63.50 They became standard in 1973 along with the (ugly) mandated 2.5 MPH impact absorbing bumpers. 1972 Mark IV MSRP $8300

  • I just saw your post in the 72 Lincoln Mark vid forum. You mentioned the cross bar on the front bumper. This year the only year I think the open grill look was available. It was the best sure did emphasize the grill. I didn't know the opera windows were an option. They could have left them off for my money. Made the roof look to busy Later in the 70's I think the Blass version Blue and White The windows were blocked out. I thought it really improved the roof line

  • Note this is an early 1972 model, before they put the bumper rail that covered a portion of the grill..very rare and the best of the Mark 4's

  • I have 2 of them for sale , interested?

  • This is the best Lincoln ever !

  • Fantastic.

  • The 1972 Mark 4 had very nice front grill and nose as the years went on to 1980 they just lost the plot on styling. Except for the Interiors which just out classed cadillac.

  • Beautiful Car.

Interesting that you have chosen the theme from Cannon, as I have tried to get hold on DVDs with these episodes, to enjoy him riding around in his 73 model.

    Kind regards
