  • Best Movie Ever made, greats from Germany

  • Haven't seen anyone play a hitman, as well as Cruise, since.

Must look back to the old French wave films for a performance of this authenticty and stature. Respect to Cruise. And, who gives a damn about his off screen beliefs. Most actors are crazy. Do you want them M.O.R.

  • hey guys.... try the song: requiem for a dream^^

  • it's cool that even when this incredible movie is 7 years old theres still new comments.

  • I'm going to be playing this song when I'm looking at my college diploma in a year or so.

  • Lol, Tom looks so BADASS at 1:14, looking at Jamie through the window

  • "A guy gets on the MTA here in LA and dies, think anybody'll notice?"

  • awesome snapshots! i could frame them all and decorate my wall

  • I absolutely LOVE this movie (and the music, its very moving). The movie and music go so good together. Wtih me going into Psychology, I have to definitely say that this is an AWESOME psychology based movie. These psych. teachers should seriously play this movie to their students. It's an awesome movie just perfect for it. I LOVE IT :)

  • i think that tom cruise this way looks a bit like snake from mgs...

  • @batatacreew agreed.

  • tom cruise is awesome. who cares if he's a little hard to understand? god knows that gives him far more credit in my eyes than the run-of-the-mill boring-as-fuck only-concerned-with-their-image charlatans that showbusiness attracts. at least he has a perspective on the metaphysical and has put thought into his life philosophies, that shows a depth many people never achieve

  • Youtube needs a repeat button

  • I didn't recognize that Tom Cruise played Vincent, until I saw the credits lol

This song just reminds me of a really bad moment in my life.

  • One of the greatest movies ever made.

  • I literally can't get enought watching this movie, this movie defenitely goes to my BEST MOVIES TOP 10, it's terrific movie of such unique director Michael Mann who always push things to the limit, just absolutely brilliant movie

  • yes this was the music i was looking for

  • excellent movie

  • What's this song called? I can't find it on

    itunes.

  • a good thing about michael mann's movies, among other things, are the movie endings (and Collateral was no exception) i loved the way he filmed vincent with his head down, dead, inside the train, and at some distance, and then changed all of the sudden to Max and the prosecutor leaving the train stop... and then back to the train again, watching it as it goes away and then back to Max and the prosecutor at the street »» the end for Vincent, a new beginning to the taxi driver.. brilliant

  • @darthkantus I know what you mean. Another thing I found was his opposing characters could be friends if the situation was different. HEAT Hanna comes over to McCauley as he lay dying and holds his hand. COLLATERAL Max says to Vincent "We're almost at the next stop" meaning we can get you some help, you don't have to die here. I admire that, I don't really see it anywhere else.

  • My favourite movie.

  • agree

  • To me, this is another 'this could happen to anyone' film. I am not saying that in a bad way, I am saying with the movie carries a story that if paid attention to, anyone could easily gather. It is one of the best films of all time and I would put it on the highly recommended list.

  • Best Tom Cruise movie is Top Gun, by far, and it will always be his best. I do agree that this is probably Jamie's best film, although I think his acting was better in Ray.

  • best Tom Cruise movies are Collateral and Rain Man. and the best Jamie Foxx movies are Collateral and Miami Vice

  • "Ray" ?

  • a great film and mostly misunderstood

  • absolutely true

  • do you know "the twentyfith hour"? it`s also a great movie with a very great soundtrack

  • nope ...dont know it ... sounds like its worth watching ...ill check out by the time

  • the movie is with edward norton, it`s not like fight club or collateral, it`s more drama but good

  • aight then ...tnx for the recommandation ... ill go for it next weekend

  • nothing you have to thank for :-D

  • i get goosebumps when this comes on in the film its amazing how does michael mann make night films look so good is it some sort of fuckin amazing camera likeurban twilight or sum shit

  • most underrated film of the decade

  • I love this fucking movie, great story, great music, great cast

  • Heat and Collateral are so similar. Both set in LA. Heat Starts off at a Metrorail station and Collateral ends in one. Heat ends at an airport where Collateral starts off in one. Vincent is the Good guy in Heat but Collateral has a bad Vincent. Vincent does a Mozambique drill on a fat chinaman at club fever, turns around holstering his gun and walking away where Neil Mcauley does the EXACT same thing to Waingro in the hotel. Both victims were sat down in fear of their assassin. MINDBLOWING MANN

  • Is Heat as good as Collateral?

  • Actually though Collateral was Michael Manns best until I watched Heat (the best action move of the 90's). You cant fail with De Niro and Pacino.

  • I thought HEAT was a better film, especially the "bank shootout" scene

  • I felt so bad for Cruise's character. Michael Man(sp?) has a way of capturing depression for men -- this impotent frustration that is ridden out in self destructive inertia. Cruz and Foxx from this movie, Pacino, Dinero, Kilmer from Heat. The movies can definitely be melodramatic, but at times I find the male figures very empathetic. I think if it weren't for the good family and friends we have, lots of guys would behave like them. That's one reason why his movies like this are so good. :)

  • great song... very moving

  • this is my favorite movie what i like most about vincent was that he was realy smart like at the end when the train stopped he went out and pointed his gun towards max his location so he can shoot him if max tryed to get out of the train and run away that way he has no way to escape

  • so so power song

  • Comment removed

  • speechless

  • fucking intensive...

  • Michael Mann knows the knowledge...

  • igec007 ....i agree totally!!!

  • you mean when vincent died :)

  • great

  • Yup. The weight and the power of this music is astounding. It just feels like all this momentum, energy, power, force is finally released. These two have finally stopped moving and it is over. Let it all go. Breathe for a moment...

  • what a movie

    OMG!!!! this soundtrack :O

  • "Hey Max...ein Kerl steigt in die Ubahn, hier in LA, und stirbt...glaubst du, dass das irgendjemand mitkriegt ?"

  • yup

  • UH-HU

  • Beautiful music and an incredible movie!!

We can't deny that Tom Cruise is a great actor it will be a lie. For me it isn't because he's a scientologist that he isn't good at films. We have to seperate his private life and his life as an actor, but it's only my opinion and don't believe I defend him and this sect not at all! (sorry for my english XD)

  • i completly agree !! this song is amazing btw, one of the best Cruise movies, actually one of the best movies out there, i love it.

  • musica bellissima

  • Wheres the african horns their in this score arnt they?

  • The weird thing about Tom Cruise....when we see him jump in Oprahs sofa, he like some crazy nutcase...

And then he just blows us away in a movie like this......the man has talant and presence like few other....

  • Damn Scientology seems t destroy good actors/people...

  • ooo fuck i can't belive he belives in scientology, when ordinary people belive in burning bushes and invisible people in the sky.

    ITS UNBELIVIBLE, CRUISE,

  • God I love this track AND MOVIE!

  • Great movie.

    Cheers.
