  • Are them signals from hornby?

  • @themymysteryman101 , Yes they were, they have been cut down, and sunk in to the board bringing them to about the right height in scale terms.

  • @bluebellModelrailway cause i was wondering what make the signal is from 0:37 because hornby dont make them, are they old hornby signals?

  • @themymysteryman101 Yes well the one with 2 signal arms has been basically modified from the standard Hornby bracket signal, the bigger on the right with 3 arms was just made from spares to replicate what is there.... its not 100% but it sorta works.

  • The Railway is AWESOME.

    subscribe to me -

  • @miniTopGear thanks for your comment.

  • tbh this has to be the best model railway out there due to originality of it

  • @rollingthestock

Thank you for your comment, but I would say its good for what it is and the amount spent on it, but for sure there are far better layouts out there.

  • I thought that 178 was Pioneer ll

  • @thomasyourtheleada1

It is only running as Pioneer II for the first few weeks as that was its state and name when it arrived on the Bluebell. After March it will be Named NETTLE, in keeping with naming P-Class locos after lineside plants.. Bluebell, Primrose... and Nettle

  • @bluebellModelrailway Ah,Okay then

  • @thomasyourtheleada1

No problem, it should when complete feature name plates with SE&CR lettering, which is on my model now... all be it fictional at the moment.

  • NIce Layout. I like the little engine at the end - please could you advise which kit it is, and how you made it/what was requered etc?

    Thank you, Robert.

  • @waldenhouse

iIt's a SE&CR, P-Class, Resin body with white metal / brass parts, running on a hornby Terrier chassis which is heavily modified.

Kit is availabe from Dean Sidings, which he trades at exhibitions, and not contactable online.

Requires paint, transfers, soldering skills, and alot of patients, feel free to view my website on my home profile page.

  • Cracking layout, video well put to-gether

  • Thank you to kind, cheers

  • Exellent work, I like the P class a ot

  • Watched this last night but couldnt comment as processing was unfinished, Great work Matt. Dont suppose you have any terrier bodies spare now do you? :-)

  • @Lost00track

Hey Shaun if you were a week quicker i would of done sadly I sold them last week on ebay, and just posted them today. Glad you like the video I saw your topic on the model rail forum your o2 is coming along well. The 2 P's yes i got a price list from the guy who makes them he has an o2 resin body hes going to do in the near future... not sure what chassis hes going to put them on!

  • Nice P class. Very good layout you have... I have 1 question.

Does the Terrier chassis run well at low speed?

  • @MSTSRWFSXSS

Thanks for your comment. Yes runs very well at slow speed and excellent runners over points at slow speed also, highly recommend them, in total i have 5 terriers 2 of which are now P's.

  • what are P's

  • @Whizzer1

Built by the South Eastern and Chatham Railway, they are an 0-6-0 Tank engine, used for shunting duties. 4 are preserved, 3 on the Bluebell and the other one i think is the Kent and east sussex... correct me if i'm wrong there.

  • @bluebellModelrailway

Thanks. I am thinking of getting 1 to join the Heritage Shunters Group on my layout. I will get 1 now!

  • @MSTSRWFSXSS cool, you wont be disappointed :)

  • @bluebellModelrailway

I hope so. The loco does look beatiful when I saw some pictures and caught one on your videos!

  • i love the p class. are you trying to get all the locos at bluebell railway currenty 2010 on your layout?

  • @BristolCastle Thanks for you comment, I'm just trying to collect the locos / rolling stock typical to the Bluebell railway that way its identifyable to anyone, The P's do have a small thing to do with the celebrations in 2010, but in general I'm just trying to stay close to what the Bluebell has, and hopefully one day I can make another layout probably sheffield park to put all these locos.

  • Great vid as always. So do you close of the openings when your railway isn't in use? I had no idea parts of it ran outside of your house.

  • I love the rattling of your stock as it goes over the PW - very prototypical! And the Ps will be wee crackers once they're painted up.

    Regards,

    Black-Marlin

  • @Xiphias52 Thanks for you comment, I hope so to, will have to see how they turn out :) but they should be pretty good.

    Cheers

  • I love p classes. Where did u get them?

  • @jamiegoddard4

They are from a one man band - Dean Sidngs, hes very hard to get hold of, best way is to find him at an Exhibition, which is his main trade. There about £40, and the terrier chassis needs alot of heavy modfication to enable it to fit. theres more about them on my website.

    Thanks for the comment.
