accually marlin didnt hit him at all u can see in a different angle of the video that he just barley missed marlin what knocked him loose was rusty drafting behind him it was all an accident though

Yeah they showed a replay of live feed from Dale Sr.'s spotter he said "inside" seven times. Earnhardt didn't care where he finished as long as either Waltrip or his kid won it. He never blocked for anybody else in his life until that day.

Who was that idiot in the silverish car with the red number? hes pretty much the guy that launched him to the wall, look at 20 out of 59 second point in the video.

The weird thing is that he won the 500 in 1998 and his # was 3 and 3 years later he died in the same race like it was his destiny

so many things happened in 2001 but why this?

Saw the race on TV, I thought the ambulance left slow, went to work that night and heard the news. It was stone silent on first break, we were all shocked I taped it and still go back and wonder how it happened after so many air born totals he survived. CROWD EM OUT ALE !! R.I.P.

I still till this day think about him. I was one of the best freainds he had. i was at that race, i was down on the infeaild. i dont know why god thought his time was up. but he called for him and we just have to accept that. -R.I.P.
