this is one of the best rebuilds ive seen on a shorty minus a few bits missing did u have to lift it 2 inches to get the 33's under it ? it seems stock . well done there a great 4x4 had to put my '76 out to rest but i just got a '82 this Jan there's work to be done but it will be done but it worth the time and money i think

@eastcoastsrfr No, they are pretty much so damn reliable, they have the persistence of making you feel anxiety when driving anything else. I have one that was built before there was ever a Blazer, Ford Bronco or a Mustang GT. The engine started making a wrist pin slap after 400K and decades of abuse. I replaced the engine to rebuild for its' first time. The engine I have in it now, is from a '78 that has been in two other FJ's Some cars go through engines, F engines go through wrecked Cruisers.

the stronger car I saw climb hills and really bad terrain of my country are the fj 40,the ford f150 of the 70s, the jeep willie, the susuki samurai, the studebaker military truck and the russian made lada niva .

It´s an american version not a japanese but looks very good, the exhaust manifold seems adapted. the only things missing is the rear bumpers, stirrups and rear benchs to be ready. by the way the frontal grille is up side down, emission control system is removed. nevertheless nice job!!

FWIW, your bezel is upside down. It's a common mistake, but the fat length is supposed to be on top.

clean resto, beautiful engine bay, 2F right?. Your suspension is a little sagged in the rear. Some new springs or SOA will fix that right up!
