  • Pineville WV has an STL-10 and it is louder than any other stl-10 siren

  • I can barely here the top row of ports but, why is such a high pitch????

  • somethings blockind the intake.

  • Why is it single-toned?

  • @darklotusryder It's not. It just sounds messed up.

  • schools have these???

  • @BlackmarketFTW Some of em do. The middle school I went to (Emerson Middle School) had a Whelen WPS-3016 behind it.

  • do you know where a thunderbolt in lansing is and also when do they test?

  • @2001scoop There is one on Newark Ave and Pleasant Grove Rd right by a school. Lansing tests every first Saturday at 1:00PM.

  • @Siren1000T1 thanks. i will record a lansing thunderbolt in november.

  • @WhelenWS3016 Not 277. 277 volts is measured phase to ground (exactly like the 120 volt lighting in a home) and only found in 3 phase 480/277 WYE systems, mainly used for industrial lighting. These sirens use 240 volts (wired just like a residential A/C unit, or electric stove. No ground). Two hot wires of 120 volts each connect to the motor to make 240 volts, phase to phase.

  • HAHAHAHA WOW that's beautiful, I want it :D

  • Having seen one of those ones with that many horns in awhile.....

  • They run them low for a test. The first time they used them for real, it shook me out of bed. One of the loudest things I've ever heard.

  • test

  • JEEZ RIGHT NOW THE SAME SIREN IS BEING USED BECAUSE THERE IS A TORNADO WARNING AND I THNK IT IS ON ITS WAY WOW

  • This is a 3T22 with a broken solenoid

  • @whoisthisguy724 This doesn't have a solenoid.

  • @Siren1000T1 Well then it is possible that the upper air intake is clogged with 50+ years of debris and crap

  • @whoisthisguy724 There is something inside that instake that is clogged. I am not sure what it is.

  • @WhelenWS3016 I don't know how many volts this is running.

  • How can u tell if it's a 2T22 or a 3T22 by sight?

  • @PIMPINGANGSTERNINJA A 3T22 has the solenoid box on the side of the chopper cylinder which enables it to have more signal choice. If one doesn't have a solenoid box, then its a 2T22.

  • nice 2T22B Dan!

  • Yes it was on the Sire Archive. I think a 2001 replaced it.

  • what about the TBOLT 1000/1000T right across from schullers restaurant, has that been there or it was replaced by a 3T/2T22?

  • Always been there I'd say.

  • @Siren1000T1 if its at the fire dept, it was still there when i was up there in june

  • Single phase siren?

  • Yes.

  • sounds like veron's old 3t22

  • You're right

  • It sounds like its lower intake is blocked. Otherwise it sounds healthy.

  • Actually, from what I can tell it's the upper intake that's blocked. Listen closely and you can faintly hear the 12 port (top) side going, and it's higher pitched than the main pitch being heard (bottom side).

  • @murrfarms And that also explains why the siren is operating at such a high RPM. No air resistance on one side.

  • Very nice Dan!

  • OMG there are 3T22s in mighigan?!

    O_o

    YAY

  • Very nice, Dan! It kinda has the shakes on startup.

  • Great sounding 2T22B, Dan.

  • great video,

The 30 sec test, 3 min alert, 3 min attack is for lansing TOWNSHIP, not the city of lansing.

Lansing is supposed to do 3 mins alert, 3 mins attack. but so far they only have been doing less than 1 min tests

  • Great video of your first 2T22, Dan! Sounds very healthy.

  • Sounds like a single phase 2T22. Nice.
