  • DERAILED ALOT ON THE JUMP, I TOOK IT OFF

  • Man, I always wanted that train... And know that I see it again, I want it even more!

  • where i can find this product ??? i would like to buy this amazing train......

  • Thomas should be able to do that. XD

  • If this is HO scale, Im so getting it from EBay because Im planning a super freelance layout with my regular trains. Sure, itll look a bit odd, but I dont really care for looking prototypical.

  • @vidfreak727 Yes, it is HO scale. Good luck in finding one on ebay.

  • @RaptureandZune

    theres some in there.

  • odd thing is the train is a early version of the set The train that came with this set was yellow/green color

  • Was anyone else reminded of Robocop?

  • Christmas of 89' was awesome

  • cool

  • Wanted one of these so bad as a kid. Santa must have been either broke or on strike that year.

  • my turbo train used to get stuck in the fuckin threads of the carpet.

  • I got this for Christmas when I was 8-years-old, I'm 34 now and I still have mine and its in perfect working condition, also have the TYCO Zero Gravity Race Track.

  • I want this. But I doubt how well it works

  • "Now a word from are sponsor professor membrane"...

  • I never did have one, but i remember seeing a few of them mint in their boxes at Toys R Us back then in the 80's. Those were the days! They also had the Knight Rider slot car track, The Fall Guy slot car set, The A-Team race set, The Dukes of Hazzard race set. Man, i feel for kids now days, they ain't got jack like we had growing up. lol Video games yeah, but, the 80's had more simple toys to play with..pretending i was Michael Knight from Knight Rider in my KITT pedal car. =)

  • @001GenLee

The other day I heard some teenage girl complaining and sayin how "EASY" we had it back in the 80's. I just shook my head and laughed. No Cell Phones, No I-Pad, no I-pod, no internet. Yeah.. Kids today have it soo rough. Toys today don't require imingination.

  • I had one of these as a kid! It was really cool when it worked properly. When I was a kid I had video games (the original NES), but I also loved playing with toy trains. Lionel was my favorite.

@robby2448 Yes, you can use it on a regular HO layout with a standard transformer.

  • Ah, yes. Scale model railroading at its finest...

  • i found this in my attic, i need a new motor for the train, does anyone know where i can get one?

  • a friend of mine had one of these when it made these jumps somtimes it would off off the tracks

  • not cool

  • sooo if one were to put on a modern HO scale layout would it work?

  • that is the coolest toy i have ever seen.

  • F*CK YEA

  • trains should do that in real life

  • but a litlle camera on the train!

  • haha fucking brilliant !

  • Holy fuckshit I want one

  • Imagine putting a bachmann Thomas on this set

  • Toys were awesome back in the day

  • @DAtNizzaYOuKnOw

Yeah, they were!! Kids today don't know what they're missing. I'd rather play with these (and I'm 29, but still a kid at heart - always will be) then these new toys. Today, if a 'toy" doesn't allow you to go online, watch movies, or something it's "boring." Whatever happened to just having fun and imagination? I wish somethings would go back to the way they USED to be. :)

  • scale mph doesn't mean anything. you would have to compress time too. think about it.

  • @machryder - Why would you need to compress time? Think about it this way - SCALE MILES per hour. Only the distance dimensions are compressed, not the time dimension.

  • O M G. Holy trip-down-memory-lane. Damn.

  • Shit that's COOL!! I forgot about this one, but i want one more now than when i was a kid!!

  • And toys 2day suck compared to when we where kids ! Google stompers the toys....

  • @1974nyarlathotep i agree with you and i still can remember the simon says where you have four different colours and you have to make the colours!!!

  • @1974nyarlathotep fa real dey dont make em like this anymore

  • This was a great company tyco ! Remember cliff hangers race track ? and for you guys that dont know tyco use to make regular model trains too, and they where way better than bachmann in those days ! can I get a testify to that ?They where a great toy company my favorite as a kid they even made remote control dune buggies awesome ! 5 stars.

  • When I was a boy I thought that someday Amtrak would like this!

0:08 sounds like the railroad crossing signal of the future!

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, that takes me back, have not seen a Tyco Turbo Train in what 20 years??

  • so fast chuck norris had to kill it

  • Takes me back to my childhood, the era of Mullets & Rats-tails

  • not impressed...

  • get it On EBAY

  • I want one lol XD

  • this is funny, i want one now!

  • LOL

  • mine never jumped ; [

  • ho scale? i really hope so...

  • At my tip shop, I found one and I went to get my mate and some little kid got to it and lost half the stuff in the box!

  • Aww xD

  • I loved Tyco trains to bad they dont make them anymore.

  • @yumyumsashimi Yeah I loved them too they ran smoother than the bachmann at that time...

  • I had one of those as a kid, I never got it to do the loop or the wall thing.

  • WOW! Super Turbo Train was a way of the future back in its time! This moving model train was no ordinary moving train. It was craziest, most powerful and most advance moving model train set back in its time. As of now? It's still is. Or maybe I'm wrong. Maybe there might something like this that is not made by Tyco but something else but probably be more crazier, more powerful and more advance.

  • know thats what i call a fucking Train i mean it Jumps for fuck sakes!

  • kinda repetitive on what it is eh?

  • I had this as a kid, it was so crappy, it was inpossible to get it to work

  • Though it may have been made of cheap plastic, it DID work. You had to build up skill using the controller to get the speeds just right. Just like life-size racing, you cannot go full-throttle all the time.

Turbo Train was a lot of fun.

  • I remember the track was super sharp, and the clamps that help each peice of track togeather...I always lost those

  • He He He...

  • i want this again..

  • O MY GOD I WANT IT!!!

  • lol its a toy

  • i got this on x-mas had so much with it.

  • Looked like that damn supertrain from NBC...

  • To fast, i have to see it again.

  • awful.....

  • wow that looks so cool lol

  • This is when Toys were TOYS..U had too actually Buy batteries lol...it was a Pain when you got a kick ass RC car, and they forgot the batteries..but all the Stores was closed on X-mas day haha...

  • oh god, I had one of these when I was a kit. I'm going to see if I can buy one again.

  • wow that looks old and awesome they should make stuff like that now :)

  • хочу 2!

  • I got this for Christmas in 1988! We never could get it to work though. I spent HOURS trying to meticulously put the track together, but the train would only run in brief spurts, and I could never get it to climb the wall or go through the loop. The track almost gave me an electric shock one time. I remember there were also glow-in-the-dark strips you could stick on the sides of the track. Would have been cool if it had actually worked!

  • Sounds like Tyco!

  • If it was up to scale, it would break the sound barrier. Now I just have to build a larger model. =D

  • I'd love to run that on a regular HO layout

  • where can you buy those trains

  • this isn't railroading, this is NFS railway edition

  • LOL

  • @joeferrito lol :D

  • typical american...

  • 1980? LoL

  • My only criticism is that it didn't actually break the sound barrier.

  • @CamdenBloke I heard them say "To scale it breaks the sound barrier" so if you moved it up to true scale, then I bet it would break the sound barrier.

  • @CamdenBloke It said model speed of sound... So I guess it kinda did.

  • @CamdenBloke They mean the toy gauge sound barrier.

  • @CamdenBloke It said in the scale. If it was up to a normal scale it would brake the sound barrier.

  • @CamdenBloke they said they travel its scale at the speed of sound

  • @CamdenBloke Actually they do it very clever, they say in scale it goes faster then sound, so if you scale the train up, you also scale the speed up ;)

  • @CamdenBloke They didn't say it breaks the soundbarrier, but that it breaks the soundbarrier in scale which doesn't make any sense, but it sounds cool :-)

  • @CamdenBloke IN SCALE SPEED

  • @CamdenBloke It did... to scale

  • @CamdenBloke In scale. A scale mile per hour is relative to the size of the object in question.

  • I had one of these. The piece of shit never worked.

  • You had to be careful not to make it go too fast along certain bits or it would spin off.

  • Imagine being a passenger on a train that jumps over a gap ! Sorry folk we ran out of money on our bridge budget. Oh, and we are gonna loop for the fun of it.

  • Don't say that or net work rail will never finish thier track and bridge renewal plan

  • my dad saw me watching this and got his from the basement and he wouldnt let me have a go xD

my daredevil jump actually works but theres a pirce of carboard wedged in it thats probably why

  • Mine didn't have a piece of cardboard. it was just a very small gap.

  • I have never seen this before, so I could experience it for the first time. It looks amazing (even if it sounds rubbish)! It seems to be a case of the advert being a lot better and more exciting than the product... Oh, the same as usual then... Good stuff anyway! Thanks!

  • I got this train never did work for me I won this train set from a drawing Still got the train & some Tyco cars too

  • Very fun video.

  • WOW memories. I had one of those when I was a kid. it worked great on regular track at ground level no matter how fast it went but those STUNTS wern't good for shit! would derail in loops, crash on jumps, and fall off when it climbed the wall. I wonder if I could try some of stuff with my Bachmann Acela. lol

  • silly!!

  • Damn, back when Tyco still made HO trains. I have a few cars from them.

  • looool only shit but very funny xDDD

  • TOY NOW A DAY SUCKS

  • did u got this video from the tv cuz it looks like it

  • hahahaah biggest shit on wordl xD

  • i had that - piece of shit - kept derailing

  • haha XD

  • i need one!

  • cool

  • Try it with a dash 9 huh? Did that!,(by accident)at a rr club. Someone threw a switch in front of my coal train accidently, sending my train into a section of the layout that they had taken the bridge out to fix. My lead CSX Dash 9 went off the gap, landing on the track below the bridge site facing the correct way but derailed (would've been funnier if the wheels rerailed too). Since then they called that engine the "Tyco Daredevil Stunt Train" in reference to this TV ad.

  • Geez, they even use Atlas Snap Track for this set!

  • It probably wasnt Atlas Track it was Tyco Track............

  • haha amazing

  • The 80's were so cool. Children now-a-days don't know about good toys. There is alot of crap being made now. Hold up. Wait a second. Do kids even play with toys? What was I thinking? This is the era of VIDEO GAMES. Sure wish I could go back to them days.

  • i think i had this set for a year but when i was a kid lol i could not even see the train going so fast haha

i still use toys like this actually

  • Thats more like a toy then an actual model train you can apreciate.

  • LOL!

  • yeah try that with a dash-9

  • If they could, it would be like the Aerosmith Rock N' Roller Coaster on steroids!

  • they should bring them back!

  • the ultimate model train!!!!

  • This is truly awesome :)

  • I miss the 1980s

  • The narrator shines the ad... 5-star!

  • im sure that the dare devil jump only works in 10% of cases. Im sure its often not working

  • It's a very small jump, not even half the length of a single car as I recall, It worked fine.

  • OMG!! I used to have this when I was a kid!!

  • its airborne xD

  • that was amazing i want one i wonder if they still make them

  • the 80's had some of the best toys. companies should try to bring back things like this. they would make millions

  • i want one!!!!

  • lol I only have the loop from this set

  • Uh mamma!!!!!!

  • WHOLY SHIT!!!

  • Is that Ho scale? I'd like to try that with one of my old Steamers!

  • hah damnn jumps from track to track thats pretty sweet

  • esta mamon

  • man i really wish tyco would bring these back

  • I Wish I Had One Of Those. Most Kids At 15 Would Be Confused About What It Is. lol

  • The good ol days of tyco.

  • I remember that set from the 80's... my neighbor had one but it was badly damaged as I recall...wonder why....?

  • I had one I bought a few years ago but its smashed and thrown away i have to get another one! I hope i find another one!

  • lol i wished i had that

  • lolol...i can imagine Cairn...i would...i want one...my dad never got me one either..he was to busy buying sets for himself.

  • I wonder how many kids tried to run their Tyco Spirit of '76 Alco diesels through that loop and daredevil jump?

  • haha amazing, my dad never bought one for me.... there's a few on ebay though
