  • it's Nirvana meets Metallica! Love this song!

  • YES!!

  • Song is great...video sucks.

  • This was probably the last good 90's song released.

  • Hahaha. I remember a girl I fucked telling me "she needed her space" and I just laughed my ass off and thought of this song.

  • nice Nirvana influence..

  • This song looks like "All Apologies" from Nirvana oO

  • @Shaftlenaze I think Kurt Cobain loved this song if he was alive lol x)

  • The only thing missing from this song is heroin...fucking love this!!!

  • @touchinpun yeah thats what we need. More heroin to kill of the greats of the rock n roll genre -.-

  • @touchinpun asshole who does'nt like the violin must be a repressed, self loathing homo.

  • Hell yeah!! Dean from Supernatural XD

  • This is the best of the best!! This is one of those blunt-force trauma songs that only has to hit you @#$%ing once!! 5 dislikes!! Must be brain-dead those 5 unenlightened souls!!

  • fuck!!!!! it took me so long to find this song! i used to love this song when it first came out, then i heard it on the radio and couldnt remember the fuckin name of the band. oleander, damn! how the hell did i forget that?

  • @Prymer55 Ditto for me. Been trying to remember who sang this song for years, but couldn't remember any of the words to even search for it. Finally satellite radio played it and I saw the name. Great song.

  • what movie is playing here?

  • to people saying music isnt about the music, listen to foo fighters

  • "i dont wanna ..be full of hate for any-bodaayy..but it's tooooo laaaaaaaatttee"

  • @govtschemes Everything was balanced...all instruments were created equal in the eyes of the people.....Not like these days, where only the singer matters. Fuck this recent fad they call music. Shame.

  • Love this song. Great job on the video!

  • wow that comes outta like 99. long time no hear. great tune...

  • double rainbow!!!

  • Great memories. Thanks!

  • didn't Nirvana do this song? no wait they would have done it better

  • @WeAreBeggarsAll83 ROFL yeah BC Kurt is such a bad ass ROFL.Kid maturity comes with time you will grow out of that stage at one point in your life we all do! Nirvana was nothing specail some drugged up idiot screaming in the some random ttrash who is now idiolized as if he the front man of the grunge scene when infact he the worst ever! Try some AIC something with some depth and meaning not something that just rymes. i leave it with this "i wish i could be like you easily amused" ROFL

  • @gsbrawler I find it kinda funny that you dismiss Kurt Cobain as "some drugged up idiot", and then tell this kid to go listen to Alice In Chains, which is a great band, but whose lead singer OD'd on heroin and wrote an album, Dirt, where almost every song is about heroin addiction. Also, this may be a great Oleander song, but I'll admit that the chord progression is VERY similar to Nirvana's Heart-Shaped Box.

  • @gsbrawler I can tell by your "ROLF" and references to the 90's most successful rock band put you at about 15 years old...or at least maturity-wise. Regardless of opinion Nirvana did have a sound that many of their peers had as well but they certainly weren't untalented. I didn't know and I doubt you ever knew who Kurt really was as a person. He certainly wasn't an idiot but was extremely messed up in his life and was trying to get help that just wasn't there. Alice in Chains is great by the way

  • @gsbrawler

Its "i wish i was like you"

    Fucking dreamer

  • i love hearing this song on the radio when i was in middle school

  • wow i remember this song in the late 90's, i even have it on a cd of random music i loved back in the day that i just dug up, i remember it being a one hit wonder, but at the time this song was out it was like part of the soundtrack of that time alot of shit was going on with me. And im a huge WWE fan i heard that a song on there is fight by oleander, i rembered the bands name but wasnt sure what they sang AND TO REALIZE this was their song was amazing. This sounded kinda like alice and chains

  • senior year everyone was singing this song, from burnouts to the football team!

  • What ever happened to these dudes!?!?

  • awesome!

  • Wow, all it's missing is star-wipe. Seriously, I love watching music videos that play like power point presentations made by middle school kids!

  • it's like, the most 90s song ever...in a really self conscious sort of way. it's honestly not that bad...it's stood the test of time imo. the band itself...not so much lol

  • keep obama to himself. its you tube not bara,k.com fuck the dems

  • what ever happened to Oleander?? they just disappeared....

  • Nobody plays this song anymore.

  • @bucky468

I know, it is never on the rock stations (the ones that exist now). I guess it isn't PC because we're supposed to listen to all this cookie cutter dance lady gaga crap.

  • I like food!

  • DOUBLE FUCKING RAINBOW = TWO POTS OF GOLD

  • I grew up with the founder of this band and I would say that after having such a great song hit the airwaves, I was a little bummed that they didn't get offered to do this in a Video...However, this is a very good one! Cheers mate :)

  • this guy sounds a lot like kurt cobain

  • @videogamepimp22 Not even close O.o

  • @videogamepimp22 lol I actually described this song to my friends the first time I heard it as 'modern Nirvana'

  • @Nydarovi This song came out 5yrs after Cobain died, so its hardly a Modern Nirvana

  • @Nydarovi Dude youre a dumbass!!!! it may have a nirvana feel but as cyclonecow said this came out like 5 yrs after kurts suicide!!!! and i mean seriously!!!!

  • WHOAAAAAA! A double rainbow!

  • saw them live with creed and our lady peace over ten years ago!

  • holy shit i remember this song!

  • DOUBLE RAINBOW!!! all the way omg

  • I love the video you made for this and love this song, it's such a rare 90s classic, most people have never even heard it.

  • a song i've never heard before that reimds me of the good ole days!!!

  • been searching for this song for 10 years now!

  • @bikinguy14 You and me both brah! Hahaha Found It!!

  • @bikinguy14

    Haha same here man!

  • nirvana has been revived and changed their name

  • @InfoQuest4311 When I first heard it, I thought it was Nirvana.

  • @AjaEmo yes! I was just telling someone about the first time I heard it I was like yes unreleased NIRVANA effin right and then found this gem of a band

  • bring back 90s rock

  • Oleander AND A double rainbow?!?!?!

    It's so beautiful!!!

  • great chorus

  • awesome song, brings back memories!!

  • Very underrated album.

  • I'm not usually a top40 cat but, this songs gotta growl somewhere within it--"I don't wanna be fulkl of hate---for anybody-but it's too late"<--a side effect of growing older perhaps?---great song...

  • reminds me of 7th grade and my eventual angst

  • only good song they ever made!!!

  • they used to play this song alot on the radio....i kinda miss these kinda music........

  • @Boowitch13 sweet video .. . this song is so underrated . ..

  • @BlOnDeE131 i like the random shots -- very cool . ..

  • @ijerksolow4243 lil peice of trivia my uncle is bobby

  • @TXmadeTXpaid1989 lil trivia 4 u. bobby is my brother, and its Rob. Big B from Tx 361

  • @bigben1983able i mean bobby from the show jim beaver

  • man oleander rocks, why did he never get to be bigtime, I always like the way he called his music ear candy

  • influence, my friend, it's called influence, kurt, himself used a lot of chord progressions from classical music, no ideas are completely original.

  • ps: the faggy violin just destroys any chance this song had of sounding decent

  • such a ripoff of nirvana, terrible

  • @gauchebag i dont think this band ripped off nirvana. if anything, i would say puddle of mud ripped this band off along with a few other grung bands.

  • @DumpTruckOnYourFace the main riff is just a variation of heart shaped box

also the vocals are very similar to kurt cobain to be a coincidence

I will admit though that puddle of mudd's vocalist likes to try and rip off cobains vocal style as well

  • @gauchebag But then again, what 90's band wasn't ripping off Nirvana. Listen closely to Matchbox 20 and you'll even hear elements there. It was the post-grunge era.

  • @JoeDeceiver Scratch that, don't listen to Matchbox 20 at all. Sorry. I don't know what I was thinking, typing that.

  • @JoeDeceiver billy corgan and the smashing pumpkins for one

but who cares this song is really gay and its almost a direct ripoff off nirvana and not even the "post-grunge" style, mainly just the actual guitar riff

  • @gauchebag Sure...Nirvana was and is a big influence to a lot of music we hear today...but that doesn't mean they are ripping off Nirvana!

Oleander was an awesome band with an awesome sound...better than a lot of the other shit that came out during their time!

  • @SpyderOne1981 yea would disturbed be copying mudvayne, cuz they play the same music? no. oleander is just a great band to fill that grunge spot in todays music, and should be more popular than they are :P

  • @gauchebag your name does you justice

  • This is Nirvana with vocal training if Kurt was a teenager. Nirvana Jr, like Hoobastank is Incubus Jr.

Well everyone's a product of someone else. Nice song.

  • Nirvana couldn't have rocked this hard if their lives depended on it. The music is a little remniscent of Nirvana but (thankfully) the vocals aren't, IMO. Always loved this tune, best played LOUD!

  • Adrianne Stone of Rolling Stone also described the album with content. She cited, "Razor sharp guitars on 'Lost Cause,' violin enhancing the warm tones of first single 'Why I'm Here,' and a surprise false ending on 'Never Again' are typical augmentations on a riff-laden album that hints of Nirvana's pained alterna-pop.

  • February Son received some criticism for allegedly imitating the influential grunge flagship Nirvana, particularly on "Why I'm Here" which begins with a similar note pattern as "Heart-Shaped Box."[4] However, despite the accusation, other songs have been cited as boasting unique and enjoyable melodies, and the album managed to sell over a half-million copies.

  • nice acid trip hahaha
