@ginerzinwonderland Because once you get vitamin D by diet, you can't control the amount you get and you can "disturb" some illnesses. One you get it from the Sun, the body knows how to do it and what to do with it.
It would be nice if you cited sources instead of a load of mumbo-jumbo. There isn't a single published, peer reviewed paper showing any chemical used in sunscreens to be carcinogenic. There are however thousands of papers clearly showing that UV rays are carcinogens.
All shop bought sunscreens aren't toxic, it depends on what brand you buy and what it contains. There are a lot of good sunscreens without harmful and toxic chemicals (parabens, perfume, petroleum, artificial colorings a.s.o). If you are aware of what to avoid and what brands that don't use any of this in there products I think using sunscreen can be a safe and good think to do.
Examples of good (and some organic) sunscreen brands are; SOLTAN, GREEN PEOPLE, JUICE BEAUTY, DERMA, LAVERA a.s.o.
Thank you on this! I have always been wondering if I should use sunscreen or not. This video also made me feel like 100% going on a healthier diet. Before I was like.. 70% wanting to. Only when I become 18 and have my own place and everything, though. =[ Because my mom gets mad if I don't eat her food and make my own. She also doesn't want to buy a bunch of her food, then a bunch of mine.
Me too! but my mother is trying this simply because i wouldnt be doing it if it wasnt so Healthy for us. And it also helps that she feels better when she eats similar to what i eat, and feels awful when she munches on other not-so-perfect/vibrant food.
There's a lot of research that suggests that it's the acids excreted from people eating hydrogenated fats that causes sun cancer.
Further, I think that our skin is intuitive, if it starts burning, we should go inside ... we're not meant to use sunscrean to allow us to stay out longer than we're meant to.
Coconut oil is a natural sunscreen, and yes, shop bought sunscreen is toxic!
Oh, also take a look at the antioxidant "BioAstin" aka "Astaxanthin" which is a natural sun protector.
Heres a great sunscreen (smoothies) that you can make in your vitamix and put on your skin before sun exposure: (From victoria bousheko) 1/2 cucumber, 1/2 avocado, 1 large aloe vera leaf, blend and store in fridge. Hope you enjoy! Thank the Boushenkos (spelling?)
your hair looks awesome in this video. did you use the butter that you made the ex-day?:) you made me so curios about that butter :D

I'm just wondering why we need Vitamin D from the sun if we can get it from food and vitamin supplements..?

I use a parasol. If it worked for Jane Austin, It works for me!
Really, I am 38 years old and I was carded the other day when I bought a bottle of wine. Use the parasol girls, or any umbrella. I have not aged!
