did you do this by ear or sheet. I have the bad boy theme stuck in my head but I can't find sheet music. closest I have is the mr.batty theme, but it doesn't have those arpeggios you played.

By ear.

It's almost the same thing as Mr. Batty Twist, really, you have to listen for the changes in chords and base what you play around them. I don't use much sheet music, because there are a lot of songs like these that are based around common chords and progressions that are easy to identify if you base them around a central chord that you've familiarized yourself with (which is C Major/Minor for most people).

@RedmageFoxx I also love to play videogame songs by ear, but I'm not as good as you. The songs I play best are Goumet race from Kirby and the Super Mario Bros. Theme. I also know how to play this, but you do it so much better. Great work!

I just played this from what I remembered of the song. I didn't bother to refer back to it, but I really should have. I completely forgot about the intro, and this would have sounded much better with the harmonics.

I try to tackle the songs that no one else has reproduced on the piano before. Since Earthbound has pretty much been covered, I'm focusing on the great songs from Mother 3. Smashing Song of Praise is probably going to be a no-go, since it depends so much on percussion.

I think if you didn't have any references, that makes it even more impressive! Your Piano skills are spectacular. As for your Smashing Song of Praise, I thought you needed to make a more noticable difference between the perky and rough bits. I think an ideal song might be "Etude for Ghosts", as it seems it would be easy to play on piano.
