  • I have a problem which i need an answer to! If I push down on my heal a little to hard, the sound goes out of tune! I've done the calibrating thing to get it back to normal and that works most of the time, but it gradually goes back to the out of tune state! This pedal is amazing and I love it so ca n someone please help me with my problem!

  • @Izlivz i had the same problem, i fixed it by sanding the two rubber pads in the back down, these push it back up slightly which will cause the sound problem your having. It takes a lot of sanding though but it works very well. hope this helped

  • 2:00 - 2:30 = tool status :P lol sounds sick

  • MUST. HAVE. A . WHAMMY. PEDAL lol

  • which his distortion pedal?

  • @alextrajanodelima

  • awesome, I love whammy playing..have just made a video called whammy jammy :)

  • Thanks for showing us what it can do, love some of the sounds you got.

Was looking into one of these but watched the ProGuitarShop demo first and really was disappointed (there are some really ugly sounds on that demo).

Glad I watched a few more videos, you totally convinced me to buy it!

  • What is the song from 2:30 to 3:00 ?

  • @zataze45 i think this impro...

  • @zataze45 may be impro 80% ))i think...

  • @SergeKomandirov I wish I could get the tabs for this part :/

  • @zataze45 I think its a "tool" song. Called " The Grudge"..but I`m not sure

  • @TheIncredibleMrFoo no its not tool

  • @TheIncredibleMrFoo Thanks, i'm gonna check

  • @zataze45 Sounds like Vicarious by Tool. Great song

  • @jpsteinha Isn't Vicarious, it is Schism.

  • @wazhumalafo its an mxr carbon copy

  • does the whammy pedal need more pedals to make it sound good or not?

  • pls check my site for crazy whammy playin!

  • nice setup

  • cool demo bro!

  • 4:00 sounds like new born by muse

  • @bucketbotrevenge Kinda, but that is "Searching" by Joe Satriani.

  • @bucketbotrevenge not really,, although bellamy does use this pedal in the solo to new born. i dont know that that song is but its awesome

  • sounded like vigil in the begining

  • @yes0684 ur name says it. Yes. He uses two octaves up.

  • is that the pedal tom morello use in killing the name

  • @yes0684 tom morello uses this pedal all the time, this is pretty much how he gets most of his signiture sound.

  • @100percentguitarded sorry 100% but youre actually mistaken. This pedal is the reissue of the pedal Morello uses, the original Digitech Whammy.

  • So this is a Whammy/wah / Chorus ????????? if so, it would be pretty cool :D

  • Fuuuuuuuuuucking awesome dudeeeeee I can't find that pedal on my country >:(((

  • What's the song at about the 6:00 mark?

  • Loving that Tool sounding intro, great effect, great playing.

  • that was very cool and creative...thank you.

  • can a whammy pedal divebomb? like dimebag?

  • @InspiringWear apparently there is now a divebomb feature on them. though i havnt go one yet. dimebag and divebombs are the main reason i want to get one too

  • @InspiringWear It says DIVE BOMB but when ever I use it it just really makes it sound dull

  • What does MIDI in and out mean?

  • @Danyanz that you can use it with a midi-controlled device. such as keyboards. might need special software and drivers tough.

  • 4:40 N.I.B. black sabbath 8-)

  • can we have a tab for the intro please ?

  • Coolest pedal I've ever heard.

  • Dude the intro sounds so pretty! especially with the effect!!

  • he turned his crunchbox on with his mind,:)

  • @mrkyt77 ;)

  • one of the coolest pedals ever. I love that scream stuff it can make. Makes my ears jizz.

  • 0:45 a tout le monde?

  • You want some sick Whammy stuff check out "Sascha Conrad - The Nihilist" here on YouTube ;-)

  • what's the last song you play??

  • @RakuenDarkBebop sounds like knives and pens i dunno tho

  • wow i remember watching these videos all the time, thank jesus i have one now :D aaah tis the most original pedal ever created :D

  • @MigelMeUp how much did urs cost??

  • @McFro95 i bought mine for 250 dollars Australian, but usually it would be 500 dollars or around that area :P

  • @MigelMeUp I just bought one off ebay for 220 cant wait til i geti it

  • @Jackisawesum1234 dude! They're up for 200 in musician's friend! You could've saved 20 bucks

  • Thank you for making a good Whammy Pedal demo. I couldn't find one that I liked, but you seemed to have fulfilled that need of mine.

  • You really know how to use this pedal, a lot better than me lol great video, the riffs, chords and licks you play sound sweet

  • sickkk dude. is there an effect where its just a whammy with out the octave thing?

  • Whammy pedals are better because they don't fuck up your tuning like whammy bars or break strings and you can make way more sounds with it. Plus it works on all guitars without changing anything on them.

  • is that a tool song ur playing around the 2:00 mark? just curious if so let me know great review/demo best thats out there for this pedal

  • My BOSS GT-8 also has a whammy pedal option but it really sucks. I'm gonna buy this someday!

  • does the whammy bar work without turn it on? i mean, if i just want to lift the notes without chorus etc..

  • very good! video best of that pedal in the youtube!

  • lol, I have that carpet ^^

  • what is the name of the song that starts around 30 seconds?

  • @GeneticDeformity Sounds like a P.O.D. song...

  • this demo is way better than pgs

  • I want one so badly

  • aaaaaaaaaaaah, 3:58! what song is that??? i think i already heard that! please, someone!

  • @PlatSoul Sounds like "Searching" by Joe Satriani

  • @floydfan123456 Bingo ;D thank you dude

  • Comment removed

  • @PlatSoul searching- joe satriani

  • i wish i can afford that pedal'

  • hey but if you're looking for sound like tom morello, will u need those others pedals??

  • no. u'd need his pedal board. (not including the other 2 pedals) i think its an 80's dunlop crybaby, digitech whammy, boss digital delay, some kind of eq, and an mxr phase 90

  • @huayupe morello's main pedals include this, a crybaby wah, and a Boss DD-6 Digitial Delay. These are the 3 pedals that enhance his tone the most. And, in my opinion, the 3 that are most worth buying. But this whammy pedal is definitely featured the most in his work

  • get an digitech whammy pedal and an good destorition pedal

  • this guy is a good player. this pedal sounds alot like STeve Vai.

  • limp bizkitish tone...not bad tho

  • I have this pedal and very rarely use it. I use my built in sustainer together with the floyd rose to achieve similar effects.

  • N.I.B!!! hail the legends of SABBATH!! =D

  • How much this pedal?

  • ok, when i plug mine in, and set it on up 1 octave it stays up on the octave the whole time, it won't go back down when i put the pedal down ... HELP!

  • @thomascatlett555 Go to Digitech's website there are instructions on recalibrating the pedal.

  • @thomascatlett555 Go to Digitech's website there are instructions on recalibrating the pedal.

  • NICE MAN NICE!

  • 4:00 isnt that like a hip hop song?

  • nice demo ;)

  • Hi, nice video, great sound, what kind of cable conection do I need to use? thanks alot

  • Anyone know why my Whammy isn't working? I literally just ordred it friday fom a reliable music store that buys and sells used equipment and tests everything before buying it. I came home from school today and wanted to use it, so I went to my guitar and amplifier and what not, plugged in the the instrument cable to the input jack, and the amplifier cable to the wet added output jack, then plugged in the power adapter. When I tried the pedal it didn't work. Help please!!

  • could be the power adapter.

  • If it has a battery in then the addition of two power supplies could be causing an internal cutout. Try removing the battery. If there is one, of course.

  • k thx =D

  • so , whammy pedal is better , it can do whatever the whammy bar can do right?

  • yea and more because the whammy pedal can be set to go 2 octaves up. but I don't think even floyd rose bars can do that.

but still having a whammy bar is cool!

  • no, it can't flutter :D

  • whats the difference between a whammy bar and a whammy pedal ?

  • whammy pedals dont break your strings

  • @SOADMETALLICA323 do whammy bars break your strings?

  • @Cheeseheadedbeanboy

The Whammy PEDAL is just a pitch shifter, it doesnt bend your strings in any way, as for whammy BARS, it merely loosens and bends your strings which can cause them to break easily. (Unless you have a lock of course) :D

  • ones a pedal, ones a bar

  • there many things you can do to this pedal 5:17 that you can not do w/ the whammy bar, many new features, and there's the midi input that allow u to customize some settings. Never used it, but read some reviews, seems pretty hand, and, of course, if you like the classic les paul which has not the whammy bar u can use this badass pedal to make a awesome dive bomb effect. I'm just scratching the surface here, but man, this pedal rocks ;)

  • what cables used??

  • Buckethead uses this pedal too

  • love the fact he has got 3 expensive pedal, but still uses those crappy cheap colourcables. Looks like me, I got about $800 spend on pedals but my cables are only $2.50

  • 2:00 - 2:30

    Tool anybody?

  • almost, but you can whammy the Schism part without a whammy pedal and just use the pickup. actually sounds better

  • schism man

  • Haha I can see the resemblance at parts if you're talking about what I think you are

  • It's the most popular song of tool but not my favorite it is ranked very high in the top 100 best songs of all time in a radiostation in my country :P

  • @boilingpoint3 Yeah that's what I thought, my fav is probably The Pot

  • The pot is pretty badass too yeah ;D

  • @boilingpoint3 Jambi is pretty awesome as well, its from 10,000 days too

  • ok i'll check that out

  • i really want one of these.

  • Forgive my ignorance, but wut songs were being played in this? Like the soft one at the beginning and that one at the end?

  • i like the blue light

  • @bomcool Its is a mxr carbon copy delay =D

  • how much that whammy pedal?

  • there $180 US. My drummer plays some guitar and got one of these suckers for christmas, what a great pedal man. So good for finding new sounds and being creative.

  • cheers for that, very interesting demo.

    You've sold me on it!

  • i got one !!! i got one !!!

    *happy*

  • I just got a whammy for christmas, but when i use the octave changer and leave it in the upright position the note that should be playing is slightly higher than it should be. Is this an easy to fix problem? PLEASE HELP!!!!!

  • There are little rubber stoppers on the bottom of the expression pedal. Take those off. Also, from time to time you have to recaliburate the pedal. Look in your instruction manual on how to do that.

  • hey guys iv just had one of these for christmas today, and theres a slight pop when i activate the pedal, does this happen with anyone elses?

  • My favorite song with the use of a Whammy pedal is "Searching"-Joe Satriani...

Good Job w/ the pedal, love it! :)

  • 3:57 was awesome...i really want one

  • I just got mine, and the possibilities are endless with this pedal. If you want to know if it's worth it, it is.

  • Yeah that was my question; is it worth it? Because I wanted one for christmas and I was gonna go to guitar center after christmas and pick it up. But I was afraid that I may be disappointed. But you said that it is worth it. It's worth it right?

  • so worth it.

  • Alright, thank you.

  • @midgetalex28 Hey if you get this whammy pedal make sure you get the 2 year warranty that guitar center offers. Cause these dam electronics have high failure rate. I have a lin 6 amp which is really digital and high tech and it is already giving me problems after only two years and i did not get the 2 year warranty so I am screwed!!!!

  • Well it's kinda too late now, I got it for Christmas. I mean it's working just fine right now, the pedal I mean. I don't overuse it or anything, I'm sure I'll be fine. But I do know what you mean about the high fail rate. Karma may get me for this, so I never know. I can only hope it will work for me for a while. The Amp I got is god-mazing. No problems so far
