  • What are your top superfoods/supplements at the moment? I'm trying stuff out at the moment...I've ordered Pine Pollen and Royal jelly...

  • I did this today with nettles growing outside my house. It didn't hurt as much as I thought. Its like a painful shave lol.

  • rubbing it on your scalp then juicing it??ewww

  • didnt realize this was the Santa Barbara Farmers Market I know this farmer he always had the best herbs as well as organic veggies. He really has aged alot

since 12 years since I've seen him.

  • screw that, ive walked through them on accident in the woods, it hurts for a good while longer than 5 minutes

  • it probably feels like taking Niacin. lol cool vid

  • You can get nettle tea in the Uk, it would probably work as well, without the sting.

  • are you saying that you lost hair with a raw food diet..how shocking..i was going to start raw food diet to lose weight and trigger hair growth..it's so confusing...

  • Well, if ya ask me, ya gotta be pretty desperate to try stinging nettle on any part of your body let alone let it dangle over your eyes. My girl friend who was going bald at age 50 used shredded/crushed ginger for a few minutes every day in her morning shampoo-shower; and started growing her hair back within 2 to 3 weeks.

  • I have to say my 19 month old son loved this video! THe dogs were a big hit and he was laughing while you were rubbing the leaf on your head. 5/5 stars! :)

  • How would we know if it work?. You don't seem to be losing your hair. Could you find a balding person to try it on and post that?

  • hang your head down off the bed and massage your head every night you can use a hot towel for a boost. But it should help your hair grow. feels good too.

  • Hey Matt-

I was wondering about farmers' markets. I live in Pennsylvania so they're not here year round. The farmers come in from other counties and set up in certain places on certain days in the warmer months. So my question is: Is it an automatic given that farmers' markets are always organic?

    Thanks.

    Laura

  • @lady4dogs no, i live in johnstown, PA and i often go to the one we have in Richland. its not all chemical free but i believe the majority of it is

  • where is this farmer's market located? I need to find one.

  • Hey Matt kudos to you for trying the stinging nettles trip. Let us know if it works for you. Where is the Farmers market at that you went to?

  • the shows are getting better and better

  • i agree with you , spinich is excellentamondo

  • i wanna look like you , as soon as my hair grows longer ,

  • That was so funny! I just love your videos!

  • i find this one of your funniest episodes, great idea, i thought your hair would be to thick for the nettles to reach your scalp, nice that it worked.. and what a great market you have there, truly a rawfood paradise!

  • that farmers market looked awesome!! respect for trying the stinging nettle thing...

  • Matt, Thanks for the tip.

    Peace

  • I'm not familiar with stinging nettles... why does it sting your scalp? is it the leaves themselves that are prickly? or is there some sort of reaction to the leaves when you rub them on the scalp? I would love to know how this works out!

  • Ouch ^^

But why are you doing it? Do you have hair loss?

  • that was so funny!!!

  • Do you think it would be too intense if you put a little nettle juice right on the scalp and washed it out after a bit. I don't have a juicer, but maybe a little nettle and a little water in a vitamix. I'm a 56 year old lady with thinning hair so I'm very interested in your results

  • Happy Birthday Mat!

  • never a bit big to lay on mommys head. haha

So i've been keeping up with your videos for a while now and they are all so much fun! About the stinging neddles, this may sound stupid but wouldn't they be bad if they hurt the top of your head, to put inside of your body by juicing them? Just wondering.

I actually start raw fooding tomorrow and I'm very excited! I will keep you up to date!

  • Careful, you were rubbing the stinging nettle on your forehead & nose. We might have to call you wolfman! I love it when you videotape and interview the vendors at the farmers markets.

  • the dogs look amazing, panda is a little ham :)

  • thats awesome let us know how the nettles worked out

  • haha this was a funny episode for some reason. my thoughts were:

    - the sunflower lady seemed like you caught her and she didn't want to admit it. i think your intuition was right on

    - you have so much hair already i don't think you need to worry!

    - panda looked sheepish at the end - very cute :)
