I love all the people in here who think that the fact that they sound like an 80s darkwave/coldwave band is totally shocking. There are tons of other incredible artists like xeno and oaklander, silk flowers, xo skeletons, and tollund men making the same music. Not that I'm knocking CC or anything, they are insanely good and Wes is a lyrical genius.

Dominick Fernow is not nearly as animated and dance-y as he was at Pitchfork. Such a good performance, and for my singing along, I got a wave from Wesley Eisold. Terrific goth-pop, though this is one of the least compelling numbers on the album.

is this a different version from the album? one thing about this album, i listened to it so much in the first week, i kinda killed it. but i took a month break and go back to the first feeling of hearing those first four songs. my friend had committed suicide and i know we all go through it and use over-hyped expression, but something felt transformed. it wasn't healing but i don't think it was supposed to be. just felt like something good and honest, like this jam
