So I tried it...didnt work..it hurted like crazy..so I stayed into a position then suddenly my eyelids started to droop then before I knew it I realized I hit a full split..I woke up when I felt so much pain lol..but now because of that, I can do a split..amazing right??? lol
idk but i hope that works because im an Egyptian and egyptians doesn't have as good fitness as americans but ok i'll do the instructions and see the result :)

@amanda199224 No, being in that much pain is not normal. When the pain gets that intense you should probably ease out of the split and stretch only in your comfort zone. Make sure you are thoroughly warmed up, that should help also.

All you lucky gals who manage a split in no time.. I've been doing martial art for some years and always managed high kicks but my sidesplit is like 120 degrees when a full sidesplit is 177¤... I study and study and practise and practise but only proceeded maybe 4¤ within the past two years. So, jealous.

@naynayxscream1 actually hu ever u are a back bend is a very complex thing to do and u need to hav lots and lots of flexibility to do it and i know that u havent seen any vids for me to prove it but i can surely tell u that i know how to do evrthing u need to learn!
Generally you sholdn't as you are more likely to actually tear the muscle than just straining it. Also incase its not been said to you, you shold NEVER bounce when stretching.
If you stretch every other day, or every day then you will get it down, just remember to warm up before you stretch,do jumping jacks, cold muscles aren't flexible!

That's cool. I been wanting to do that since I was prob your age. I don't work hard enough for someone who really wants it, so I'm still a few inches off the ground. Any suggestions for splits in the other direction (out to the side)??
Middle splits are probably the hardest splits to get (if you meant that) I don't know of any specific stretches to try but my coach says just to go down to a middle split everyday for 20 minutes should help because i am like a foot off the ground so just do all the splits and you will eventually get it lol

u should stay down longer & do more stretches b4 u go in 2 a split
also u r not supposed 2 go down that fast or come up that fast. if u do that eventually, u may tear a mustle.
