They sold the company that owned the rights. The designers want to update it but can't for legal reasons.

When I play this game, I always put the max water levels. I love the ocean fighting, I can destroy anything then really, once I get sea stuff..

by getting this in the game you ensure yourself ocean supremacy (which later means safer air-carriers and support ships for air-based attacks)
