  • I wonder why there's no landing on the 1st floor

  • @Cazkumali The ground floor concourse is about 2 storeys high, the footbridge is on the storey above this, so there isn't really a first floor. I was trying to show that the lift isn't as slow as it seems going between just 2 floors.

  • @leethomas84 I saw a tank room button but it required a key

  • @Cazkumali You're right! I've used this lift so many times and never noticed that before, lol. I assumed that key was for the fan or the doors without reading it. I will change the video discription accordingly. Cheers!

  • @leethomas84 I Like the new description

  • @leethomas84 I heard a train at the end of the video i wonder wot class it was

  • @Cazkumali I think it was a Class 168

  • These lifts were installed barnd new between 2000 and 2002 (I forget the exact year). The old lifts were goods lifts with manual gate style doors. It not often you see this style of door window these days. Lifts I've seen at Swindon (platform 4) and Bristol Temple Meads (Platform 13/15) stations have much longer and wider door windows installed.

  • @leethomas84 when was this lift refurbished?

  • @Cazkumali This lift, and the other 2 at the station, were installed new in the early 2000's, replacing some old goods lifts.

  • Like the windows in the doors! Could be a refurbishment with the old doors kept. No one that I can think of puts windows in doors nowadays (unless they are scenic lifts of course!)
