David, don't take it hard that you are following your choices in life, your father if a good man would want the best for you and advise accordingly, but this may be other than your own wishes and you must take control of your life as you are a man now. He will understand if he has the right stuff, believe me and wish you well in your own choices in providing for yourself, but don't ever be afraid to ask for his opinion, even if you do not take his direction. He should not be dissapointed in you

I was a financial consultant for JP Morgan. Eventually I decided to stop chasing money and wanted to do something I enjoy so I became a photographer. But my ultimate passion since my childhood has always been planes. I never quit on my dreams. Hopefully when time and money permits I'll start taking lessons and one day get my own license and perhaps buy a small plane. I don't know why they failed you when you can do a solo flight? Obviously I don't know the technical stuff.
