  • Ohhh Rickie, you are as good as ever. Tell me darlin'...when did we get old? At least we grew old together.

  • how does her voice stay sounding young and hasn't dropped an octave like Joni Mitchell's voice... Who now sounds like a man

  • So good to see her looking so happy and content with life.

  • my heroine

  • Well done!! Beautiful, sincere execution! A beautiful voice...

  • Not lacking depth, is she.

  • I saw Rickie Lee last night in Portland Oregon and she was spectacular. She gives me chills.

  • She sings and writes the stories of so many of our lifes.

  • fuckin' love those pants.

  • She is pretty cool. I'd definitely compare her to Don Mclean.

  • For a moment i thought my speakers broke.

  • LOVE YOU! rlj...

  • 最高!

  • You still "got it" Rickie!!

  • OMG Thank You So Much For Posting This Song, This Song Has So Many Awesome Memories For Me It Just Takes Me Away...... Ty Ty Ty I Love You Mom Always

  • I heard her first in 78, and feel for word mastery then, I have been blessed to have been trailing behind theses songs for so long, Love you Rickie, Thanks for adding my name to the list, never thought it would happen, but there it was!

  • This makes me feel like I'm 6 years old again and hearing RLJ on my parents' stereo. Thank you Rickie, you're as spectacular as ever.

  • I've been lucky to have been able so far........to have seen Ricki play live since Noe Valley San Francisco and the H.O.R.D.E. festival in Sacramento around 1990's and to the Rio Theater in Santa Cruz 2010. She's Great. True to the heart and soul. Right down to the bone.

  • @jennysways I'm replying to myself. I like the Chain Austin arrangement that was at Cal Expo, Sacramento, California. They opened up with I believe, Ballerina by Van Morrison with two young girls playing and danceing on stage. It was wonderful.

  • fab!

  • Saw Rickie Lee in Brisbane Monday night, she sang this song with so much feeling I almost had to avert my gaze. Beautiful in every way!

  • I saw this last night at the Opera House live, absolutely amazing. I had actually never even heard of her, and now I am doing my research. Incredible voice and talent.

  • @clairepech She is a godsend.. You are blessed to have seen her too.

  • @clairepech I envy you just starting to research her career- such a wealth of music to discover.

  • @crazycrow76 What is a good album to begin the discovery process?? Also Jennysways, a mix of this and Van Morrison must have been sublime.

  • @clairepech Her debut (self titled) is amazing- I knocked a lot of people out with that one. My personal favorite, though it was badly recorded and not remastered is "Girl At Her Volcano." Look up "Rainbow Sleeves" here to get a feel for that one. "RS" was written by Tom Waits but he never recorded it (RLJ got me into Tom Waits) I find it one of her most powerful songs.

  • @crazycrow76 I forgot to mention- today (November 8) is Rickie Lee Jones's birthday!

  • @crazycrow76 Just bought her self titled on ebay for $2. I imagine money very well spent. Thanks for the advice.

  • This is just amazing. :)

  • Immensely talented!... An original... and totally awesome!!!...

  • Rickie lee, "still" so very much "in the pocket"!

  • I love this song:) Thanks for sharing it.

  • Thank you Rickie Lee for sharing this beautiful song about your daughter. And thank you John for having her on the show. I loved it....

  • Yes indeed thank you Rickie for this- I love it to bits..
