@nitrors4pr You and every other twat crying about the Eclipse losing are retarded. Probe GT's came with Mazda 2.5L V6's. The KLDE is 160hp/160tq stock and a KLZE is 200hp/165tq stock, weighing about 2800lbs. Stock 2g turbos are 210hp/214tq, FWD weighs 2800lbs, AWD weighs 3200lbs. And no one said if either car had mods or problems during the run so quit being a bunch of pansies just accept the fact that it lost.
@nitrors4pr Who told you the GST is faster than the GSX? The GSX is a little bit heavier but gets better traction, which more than makes up for it. Also, there is no such thing as a "neon motor eclipse". The neon borrowed the base motor from the eclipse, not the other way around.
@ctsincebay Valid point about the "neon motor" comment, however, nitros4pr is correct about the GSX versus GS-T. There is different tuning between the two, from the factory. I agree that the GSX will have better traction, but there is a difference in boost pressure and fuel mapping between the two cars, again, from the factory. Nonetheless, this video did not have a turbo car in it. My old Hyundai whooped up on a few V6 Probes but never could take a turbo Eclipse for obvious reasons.

Unless it's been repainted or is a 420a with an aftermarket turbo, I'm fairly sure that's not a turbo eclipse. The 95 and 96 gst and gsx were gray at the bottom.
Sooo i read through many comments and a lot of people are against the probe? I like both cars so no bias, but here is straight fact: KLZE puts out 200hp and keep in mind VERY restrictive. Turbo eclipse (couldnt tell if anything was turboed or anything was even running int his video LOL) i looked up amkes 205-210 stock on a 4 cyl 2.0? cant remember. anywho the KL engine (v6 mazda engine) has great potential. refer you to blackshine007 and watch his vids. v6 mazda 626.

With the right mods even two mods can make a huge difference as long as they work with each other. i.e. make a car breath better (I/H/E) this will make a world of difference.

It wasn't "scholar shit." It was just three sentences. I like the Probe because they are a change from the usual sport compacts. The aftermarket is crap so it takes more than a credit card and half a brain to build a decent one. As far as 4g63's, Ive been there. Built a 92 talon years ago. 6/4 combo, balance shaft removal, big 16g@27psi, 272 cams, big FMIC, DSMLink V3, etc. 320awhp. Not saying the Probe is the best car around, just that it doesn't deserve the bad rep it gets.
Oil filter backed itself off (was the 2nd time it happened. First time was on the dyno and we caught it) and dumped the oil. Motor blew, car was parted, and a bike was bought. It was a fun car but the excitement just wasnt there. Breaking the tires loose at 60+ while merging onto the highway in the Probe is still rather thrilling though. :)
@bman1592 a probe gt clocks in around 2,800 lbs in curb weight..almost identical to an 3G eclipse GT non spyder. the 2G like in this video actually weighs less in curb weight than the probe...so Suck it XD

Unless it's been repainted or is a 420a with an aftermarket turbo, I'm fairly sure that's not a turbo eclipse. The 95 and 96 gst and gsx were gray at the bottom.

Sooo i read through many comments and a lot of people are against the probe? I like both cars so no bias, but here is straight fact: KLZE puts out 200hp and keep in mind VERY restrictive. Turbo eclipse (couldnt tell if anything was turboed or anything was even running int his video LOL) i looked up amkes 205-210 stock on a 4 cyl 2.0? cant remember. anywho the KL engine (v6 mazda engine) has great potential. refer you to blackshine007 and watch his vids. v6 mazda 626.

@KLG4guy Not to say likewise for the eclipse but, takin the probe side since there are so many close minded people here. BTW probes are not that heavy and looks certainly are not everything. With the right mods even two mods can make a huge difference as long as they work with each other. i.e. make a car breath better (I/H/E) this will make a world of difference.

Heavy ass Probe? Care to try again? Assuming both are basically stock:
GSX = 3200lb and 210hp = 15lb per hp
Probe GT = 2800lb and 164hp = 17lb per hp
Not considering drivetrain losses, thats still pretty close and it wouldnt take much to push either car ahead of the other.

It wasn't "scholar shit." It was just three sentences. I like the Probe because they are a change from the usual sport compacts. The aftermarket is crap so it takes more than a credit card and half a brain to build a decent one. As far as 4g63's, Ive been there. Built a 92 talon years ago. 6/4 combo, balance shaft removal, big 16g@27psi, 272 cams, big FMIC, DSMLink V3, etc. 320awhp. Not saying the Probe is the best car around, just that it doesn't deserve the bad rep it gets.

Oil filter backed itself off (was the 2nd time it happened. First time was on the dyno and we caught it) and dumped the oil. Motor blew, car was parted, and a bike was bought. It was a fun car but the excitement just wasnt there. Breaking the tires loose at 60+ while merging onto the highway in the Probe is still rather thrilling though. :)

@bman1592 a probe gt clocks in around 2,800 lbs in curb weight..almost identical to an 3G eclipse GT non spyder. the 2G like in this video actually weighs less in curb weight than the probe...so Suck it XD
