  • Police : Sir y are you shotting with a Tide degerent bottle?

    Man : Its a camcorder

    Police : 0.0 okkkkkkkk?

  • Indy mogul isn't what it used to be (cool)

  • how is the sound on this?

  • Clever

  • He FUCKING SCARES ME

  • lmao, this guy must of been bored lol

  • LOL i cant imagine what peole will think when they see me holding (tide) and pointing it like he is taking video :P !

  • Stupid idea. How do you control zoom etc, without banging on the bottle? How do you see the lcd screen? That's why they invented umbrellas.

  • His hair is scary. He scratches his ass lol

  • this doesnt make any better bacause the sound of the rain falling on that bottle picking up by the camera microphone

  • @matthijsfleumer what i did was cover the top of it with cloths

  • Una forma muy ingeniosa y sobre todo barata de proteger la cámara, me gusta.

  • i can put it in the sea because i want to make an underwater scene?

    maybe not.

  • i can put it in the sea because i want to make an underwater scene?

  • 0:38

k i'll just scratch my ass on cam...

  • what if you have a bigger camera???

  • Thank you Howard Stern this was helpful!

  • it`s cald a hircut

  • wow thats pretty smart for something you can get without having to worry about not having enough money

  • can u teach me to make a under water camera cover

  • @superblackdiamond251 look on kipkay's videos. He makes a great one.

  • Dude, I've got to ask, and ahead of time I just want to tell you that I am not intending to offend you, so if I do by asking what I'm about to, I apologize and I assure you it was not intentional. So with that said, is that really YOUR REAL HAIR? lol I'm sorry, I really am, I honestly am struggling to keep from laughing really obnoxiously at the moment. lol

  • WTf? is taht???

  • nice hair.....

  • how about plasic wrap?

  • Why not just put a flap where the lens is on top to give it protection from angled rain and it would also shade the lens in harsh sunlight.

  • I would mass produce this product under the name "Homelesscam".

  • DUH plastic wrap it's not that hard.BUT if u feel like doing this i would put plastic wrap or tape something clear over it so if the rain was coming in an angle it will keep it from getting wet.

  • DUH plastic wrap it's not that hard.

  • I have a better idea. How about... putting your camera inside a very transparent plastic bag, release the air from it, tie a knot at the endof the bag and you can even film underwater with that shit...you also can better press the buttons and stuff... tried it... worked like a charm.

  • Whoa....... I am scared of this guy!

  • hey great idea......now find a way to press the buttons without getting any water leaks inside that thing......

  • no kidding in the beggining, when he said its not something to go diving with at the GBR no kidding was going to do that

  • that is awesum, just n case the bottle fills with water, or if you want to film your own crap in the toilet, i would recomend to put some sort of transparent plastic like plexiglass or somin in the front and back of your detergent bottle, thingie

  • LOL Watch Your piggies

  • You should cut the flab leaving the top connected instea dof the bottom =]

  • @MrBehindthewall yeah so the rain will not get in there, with the top connected the rain will just fall on it without getting into that thing.....

  • i would say stick some plastic wrap over the area where the lens points out...wind at times blows the rain.

  • I think the flap would be better if it lifted from the bottom. That way the rain would not run inside from the back...

  • pretty sure Tide, a swiss army knife, and scissors cost money

  • @MANIF3STtv ya but we all use detergent and have scisors and a knife of some sort

  • FLD?

  • throw it in ur pool :D

  • That was very helpful man, thanks.

  • r u aussie or have u been to aus

  • plastic bag....

  • Stupid hippy

  • thank you

  • yea I'd rather use an umbrella than walk around looking like a retard

  • I love weekend extra. Overall I think it's better than the main BFX series. The videos are more about filming techniques than props. (:

  • good idearer, also a clear plastic rectangular 1/2 gallon juice bottle is good

  • cool homeless film

  • how would you take it out and stop it quickly

  • this is way better than what i used b4 (a ziplock bag =/)

  • you could also put some clear plastic rap on the front so water cant get in, great vid!

  • fukn GENIUS lol great vid man!

  • that is useful and really good O__O

  • your hair is awesome.

  • hahah 1:26-1:30

  • theres is another way to do it take a bin that has a water proof seal and fiber glass so first you put a hole in the side of the bin and then hot glue the fiber glass and hot glue a screw inside for the camera and then put the camera in and go diving with it

  • wouldn't it make noise and screw up the sound? idk

  • thats more like wind proof, not water. lol

  • i have a water proof and shock resistant camra =D

  • Comment removed

  • emmmm, waterproof? i mean...u cannot put that thing into water...

  • i think he meant to put Rain proof

  • IF you listened to the video he said that. He also said rain protective housing.

  • ok that´s right..but how are u goin to push the buttons? and an umbrella would do the same...and the sound might get distorsioned in there

  • I did not say this was a good idea nor did I design this or tell you to make it. SO ask the hippie that made the video those questions.

  • did u not hear him in the beginning

  • i dont know why i didnt think of this?

  • yea water proof but how are you ganna press play or any buttons

  • that dude really needs a haircut

  • how are we going to press record and stop? cut a hole next to it?????

  • thats wat the back part is for

  • 5 words: BUY-A-PROPER-WATERPROOF-CAMERA.........

  • ya... FOR-100-DOLLARS!

  • Yeah but wouldn't it pick up the sounds of the rain hitting the bottle ?

  • What if you used an external shotgun or lavalier mic ...?

  • Dude....

You are going to get the worst sound ever..

  • ...by relying on camera audio.

  • Yeah, that's pretty ghetto. I like how the title reads "Water-Proof Camera How To" then he says "if you're planning on a "WATER-PROOF" housing, forget it. ???

  • it is water proof.... just not diving into water proof

  • one word:UMBRELLA

  • ^Genius

  • @milicia69 one word...Lightning!

  • @milicia69 or a see thru plastic bag :P

  • @milicia69 That doesn't keep rain coming in at and angle. and this build isn't even that difficult.

  • @TRASHDIGGERfilms i'm thinking that this thing won't stop all the rain, and what if it gets inside, your camera is done for, think:big umbrella,or a small one fixed to the camera

  • @milicia69 13 words: RAIN PATTERING ON UMBRELLAS IS LOUD AND YOUR MIC WILL PICK IT UP

  • @FolderolTV wont the rain pattering on the bottle get picked up by the mic...

  • @milicia69 I gave you your 69th thumb up. your welcome.

  • @milicia69 for underwater shots you blofis

  • sweet if you want one that you can go diving with try using a 9mm pistol box with a pice of 2 inch glass and water prof maines apoxy it can go about 30-50 feet under befor leeking

  • how are you supposed to see your shot with this? i prefer just to use a big fishing umberella keeps camera and camera operater dry whilst not being in shot if angled right

  • even if it is water proof when rain hits the top of the casing in the video all u will here is shhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! from the rain

  • NICE!!!

  • just stick your camera in a condom ffs

  • I guess that would work... but could then camera lens not get blurry...

  • win

  • this sucks

  • That doesnt work because then the water goes in to the container and floods, now you just break ure camera and looks stupid at the same time.

  • dude...... 0:30

  • ITS NOT WATERPROOF!?!?!?!

  • its not waterproof?

    its rainprotected!

    Theres a difference

  • COOL!!!

  • Who cares what he looks like, morons, it's a tutorial and it's clear and concise.

  • put clear wrap over the hole where the lens is so the rain wont come thru that

  • and maybe try putting the flap the other way, that way it doesnt catch the water if you have it open watching what your recording ^^

  • yea i guess great minds think a like (subscribe to me plzzzz)

  • Lol "watch your piggy's when you do that lol" 1:10

  • i think eric is a better presenter, this guy scares me

  • he looks like a retarded zombie

  • yea so does ur mom

  • dude what did i do to you?

  • @patricksparks96 yeah, the weekend special guy is a little "harsh"

  • @patricksparks96 this is allan k. he was one of the creators of indy mogul.

  • You could only grab a damm transparent plastic bag, and put yuor camcorder inside than clode it!!!

Dmmm i dont know why people don't think!

  • I don't know what clode means, but a plastic bag would filter the shots and be clumsy to adjust buttons.

I don't know why you people have to be so brash over the computer.

  • what if ur camera has a pop out screen?

  • couldnt u cut the butt flap other way so that way rain coulnt get in

  • lol... thanks!

  • i like it

  • Wow this is just brilliant!Hands down!

  • Hats off... This was so simple but very effective and pocket friendly.. Three cheers for CREATIVITY

Any ideas for making cheap underwater kits for big cameras like PD170

  • awesome! but what would also help is if u put got plastic from a cd case or a pop bottle and put it over the lense because rain could still get in that hole....or clear tape....exparament!

  • thats a good idea but if was raining kinda hard wouldnt the rain hit the plastic bottle and make a sound that the camera good hear? Very good though!

  • im not sure how well it would work but try a piece of thick sponge, or buy a cheap pillow at the store cut it to the desired shape and size and put it in, then use whats left for the sides.

  • my camera was outside and i ran to the garage to get some filming stuff. i come back 10 seconds later and its raining. my camera broke. one of the things that i had in my hand was my rainproof case...

  • How did you get the not spam tag on your spam?

  • f-ing brilliant!

  • what a joke, and creepy guy

  • you can also use it as a cam. handle if you keep your tripod piece on.

  • How are you supposed to press record?

  • Just be sure not to tilt the camera up into the rain.

  • effective but looks odd to have that in public :/ use an umbrella :)

  • he looks like howard stern

  • You can make it WATERPROOF with a pvc pipe and a pvc cap 1st you glue the pvc cap to the end of the pvc pipe 2nd you put the camera in and glue a sheet of glass to the front of the pvc pipe and your done (open the back cap to take out the camera).

  • How are you supposed to press record?

  • just press record when the flap is still down, you can always edit out what you dont need

  • wow thats awesome i think ill try that

  • I need something that can protect the camera from complete water, I need an underwater scene it one of my films.

  • And the rain will just magically happen not to land in that front hole and camera lens?

  • Anyway raindrops would get into the box, that'll gonna be a problem if water gets into the battery..

  • So how do you access the camera's controls?

  • wireless remote

  • or the back hole dumby

  • i think the sound would be strange in thet bottle

  • but you have to get it out to switch if of or play it back

  • If you are not using an external mic.

How does it effect the sound input.

  • u look like howard stern

  • awsome

  • might use for paintball just need something to protect the lens

  • Remember u can use a milk gallon for a smaller camera.

  • Genious!

  • Or rap a plastic bag over your camera. : P

  • ya, but then it makes a crinkling noise when you move.

  • if water does get in that thing it will collect in it like crazy... this thing sucks

  • then put a few holes in the bottom to let it drain.

  • this drain comment was responce to "ToasterPig"

  • I suggest cutting the flap in the back so that it faces downward- redirecting water away from the opening.

If the rain isn't pouring too hard you can cut away more of the bottle around camera lens (like an awning or umbrella) which might help with your ability to pick-up sound without an echo.

It's so easy and cheap you can customize one for every camera, every situation.

  • But then it still isnt protecting your camera at all.

  • it is smart but there would be no way to press record..

    defeats the purpose

  • what are u talking about ....did u forget the flap in the back ?????

  • ingenious. But, sound would be a problem P:

  • You can add audio in later.

  • That is a lot harder to do then they say it is. Adding audio later usually leads to the audio sounding like it was recorded after, and lip movements almost never match up.

  • it doesnt make sense sorry..i say this because the rain will keep hitting the protecter and make a loud noise

  • That's why you would use a boom mic. You would have to put a umbrella over the mic so it doesn't get wet. Lavaliere mics would probably be better, since you could hide them from the rain.

  • Add audio later.

  • One thing I would do to make it better is to cut the whole in the back so that the attached part of the flap is on the top (like this "I\"), this way when the water drips down its less likely to drip into the main compartment because there is no opening at the top (when its like this "I/").

  • its a good thought BUT it is far from perfect and should be modified for a better and more reliable 'housing'

  • sounds good in therory but not to good it the rains coming in at an angle

  • Unless you had some Plexiglas or something for the front.

  • omg that was awsome

  • Very nice vide indy mogel is my alltime fav.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hahahaha, its ridiculous, hahahahaha

  • use a umbrella duh or just dont take pctures in the rain. . . . .

    lol

  • watch your piggies? ok that part of the video was weird. but the rest was excellent and I think you should make more.

  • nice work alan k.
