  • Im Securtiy Forces now.... Biggest mistake ever! I Just put my cross train in for TACP! Cant fucking wait. Ultimate goal JTAC!

  • @jvcarb1 good luck bro!

  • Just got done with MEPs today and tomoro I take my PAST for CCT. Hopefully I can make it through all the training they'll put me through when the time comes

  • pararescue! hands down, anyone can do marines.

  • You can't compare Pararescue to regular Marines.Regular Marines don't go threw any hard training compared to anyone in any form of Spec Ops. Marine Force Recon goes threw hard ass training but their a Spec Op way above regular Marines. if you were to compare Recon and Pararescue theyd be about the same level of insane but so is the SEALs and Green Berets. My dads a former Navy SEAL and my uncle's a former Green Beret, and i've talked some PJs CCT and a force Recon guy they all respect each other

  • @ragenhurt that is what i am saying! at the end of the day we are all a team. we all need each other one form or another.

  • Who deserves more respect because of what they do marines or air force pararescuemen?

    and whos training is harder?

  • its a different job..marine infantry is just infantry..PJ's are SOF. And PJ training is harder by far than normal marine infantry training..

  • Interesting, i was under the assumption that only the PJs whom are stationed at STS units are under AFSOC whom consequently fall under SOF.

  • Yea your right in a sense...but all PJ are trained as a SOF and what MAJCOM they fall under due to their mission doesn't really change that fact...because typical rescue units wouldn't fall under AFSOC I don't believe

  • @supermancolombian Pararescue training is harder hands down. But Marines are really good at what they do which is infantry. But a regular Marine can't stand up to a PJ or CCT or any other Spec Ops MOS in the military...they r not trained enough.

& as far as respect...Marines hands down. Marines are seen as the tough and flashy guys of the military. Every1 believes every marine actually fights in combat (even though they r trained to). But the thing that makes a marine is the "boot camp".

  • If there are any currently enlisted combat controllers, please contact me..

Im training for combat control and have a ton of questions for you.

    Thanks.

  • Recently there was a joint exersise between the combat control and the royal air force regiment i heard from some guys in the the raf regt that the combat control are the most outstanding soldiers in nato. Still if i was a us citizen i would still go for pararescue.

  • Well made video, good job man!

  • Comment removed

  • If you wanna fight...be a controller...CCT's shape the battlefield

  • うるさい音楽にはうんざりする。

  • Swimming = most physically demanding sport ever. Thought i'd throw that out there. I love swimming. it is beautiful. You should all join the swim team.

  • SORRY guys im going to disagree with all u the greatious warriors or special forces were and always the spartens 300 baby im talking about the real 300, no guns, no chopper support i'd like to see any special forces army, navy, marines handle that sampe fi that

  • you are joking right? just becuase movie tells you they were bad ass you going to say they were the best? wow... next are you going to beleive that god is real? you're an idiot.

  • This would be a great video if it weren't for the disturbed music in the background. worst music ever.

  • I* think ill be alright. But we will see. Im not going to quit, so im not worried, Im just trying to prepare. Expect the unexpected

  • where are you going for basic? i am leaving february 24th and going to san antonio. im gonna be in security forces (MP) but i am testing for pararescue in like 2 weeks here. what part of special forces were u looking in to?

  • im going to texas for basics and im going in for cct

  • im trying leave the 24th too for PJ. I heard the sort the special op recruits together.

  • Im taking my PAST in 5 days. Ive been preparing myself for it for 6 weeks now. I WILL pass it but after that I go to basic in January, what else should I prepare myself for, for CCT? Is a 68% good on an ASVAB or am I a fuckin moron?

  • 68 isn't bad...6 weeks isn't gonna help you out for CCT...its better than nothing but you'll see when you get down here

  • im in shape. 5'7 140lbs, with an athletic build. U think Ill be alright. ive got another 3 months to prepare and then train throughout basic. Any advice? What course are you in now?

  • ok well little warning...you lose everything at basic...i trained for 2 years for this and lost it at basic...basic is nothing compared to what you will do in this job...and being 5'7 you better be able to run super fast cause you will have problems with the cals...im 5'8 and have a normal build but weigh 170 now...im going to ATC in like i week or two...i got set back cause i got hurt...

  • You didnt have time to do extra workouts at basic, and was there a pool? What do you mean cals? What did you get on the PAST?

  • cals are calistinics...push ups, sit ups, ext...basic is pretty set on what you do..you don't to work out more just for this job....you will get a blue arm band and get a little more PT during PT time in the morning but thats it...not enough...No swimming in basic at all...My past with my recruiter only made me meet minimums..first one i took down here i got like 69 push ups 65 sit ups and 8 pull ups..you'll learn real quick that the form used down here is alot harder than basics..and very stict

  • thats ok, i think imma do alot extra flutter kicks at basic, they training now should at least give me an edge in the pool right?

  • no it won't...AF basic is a joke

  • Hey, Im doing the 20 meter underwater swim, the 500 meter in 12 minutes, the mile and a half I pace at 10:30, 15 pull-ups, 100 push-ups, 50 sit-ups, and 100 flutter kicks. Ive got the PAST down, but what should I really be working on, and what happens if you get to out of shape during basics

  • In the Marine Corps you have to run 3 miles in less than 18:00, 20 pullups, 100 situps in 2 minutes for a first class PFT. That just gets you noticed in the Corps and eligible to get into recon. Force recon is even harder. If at any point you fail, there is no second chance. Stay motoviated and keep working at it. If you want it bad enough you'll get it.

    Semper Fi

  • Yeah Well, that Marine Standard. CCT and PJ boys crap you guys out after eating 105mm Howitzers for breakfeast.

  • Those are some tough bastards, but I wouldnt do that job, thats why Im glad there are people out there who will, thank god for them.

  • As a combat controller from the late 60s to the early 70s, I can tell you that the technology has changed, but the mission statement hasn't. You go in before everyone else, call in the strikes, and get out of Dodge before the tangos know you were there.

Today while getting off of a commercial plane, a guy infront of me had a pair of airborne wings on. He was a retired Ranger, we swapped stories and then he thanked me for my airborne strike support.

Most of those making comments are kids.

  • Pararescue sounds cool and all, but, how do they rescue anybody from anywhere...do they get back via hang-gliders?

  • ever heard of a helo?

  • im going in to the air force and i already have my NREMT ... id love to be a PJ but i dont have enough time to get into shape =\ you have to hold a grudge against yourself and be somewhat suicidal to go into that job in order to get through it

  • Ahh. Im goin into the Army tomorrow. I feel afraid.. Can someone help me overcome this? And who thinks i could be a Sergeant in the army? I have combat experince for being National Guard and also Alot of intelligence of Warfare and INSCOM Branches.

  • If your going into Combat Control you better have balls of steel.

If you have girlfriends or wives, they better be tougher than you.

    I am speaking from experience.

    Good luck gohan

  • CCT is the air force...

  • pjs are hardcore.

ccts are just glorified air traffic controllers...

people put tacp's down, but i dont see them doing it...

  • dont ever diss cct.

  • if cct is just a glorified ATC then why is the 24th STS a part of JSOC, we're if you dont know what your talking about shut the fuck up.

  • CCT is air force navy seals buddy...CCT and PJ's are both fucking hard core....come try this shit man i speak from experience

  • do cct go through the same assesment and selection course as pj?

  • CCT goes through nearly the same selection course as PJ....there jobs are completely different though...The tactics they learn like MFF, Scuba, static line jumps and prolly some other insertion methods along with small unit tactics are learned by both but CCT goes off and learns air traffic control and close air support while Pj's learn to be EMT's and a bunch of medical stuff for their main mission CSAR...Combat control usually works with army SF and Pjs have their own teams for rescue missions

  • CCT and PJ's are both assigned to STS though..just different missions alot of times, not always though.....Hope that helps

  • both have to pass the PAST to get in. PJ start with 10 week indoc course, CCT start with 2 week orientation.

  • lol @ the PAST test.

  • I just graduated CCT orientation course, go to ATC soon. It is tough, but stay motivated and keep your head up and you can do it. Hooyah future cones!!!

  • Hey man i leave july 1st for cct, when you were in basic were they pullin cct and pj guys out to swim at all?

  • Pulled us out to take the PAST test just to see where we were at, thats about it.

  • Great video. I'm going to basic in a couple months. I've been given job working on avionics, but my recruiter told me that I could go into special ops anytime before basic if I pass the PAST. I've been told it will be easier to finish my degree doing the avionics. Is this true? I'd like to finish the degree, become an officer and then become a CC or PJ. Any advice or tips from anyone is appreciated!

  • yea it will be easier to finish your degree in avionics rather than spec ops....if your gonna go spec ops then all you ned to worry about is spec ops because it will be hell....i sign in for cct this week and going to basic july 1 08... can't wait

  • Goodluck to ya.

  • awesome video! I'm turning in my papers next week for the USAF. I'm not sure if I want to do CCT or go into special ops weatherman. I don't really want to wait the year or two of being a regular weatherman though

  • Believe me, waiting wont be all that bad. You can earn rank and experience while prepping for whatever job it is you are waiting for. I myself want to be a Pararescueman.

  • I forgot the reason I said that is because Im in ROTC and I learned there that to get what you want you have to wait and take every opportunity (assignment, task) to show them you have what they need.

  • thanks for the advice man. good luck with pararescue. I heard the training is insane. I think I will wait for combat weather

  • TBxAF- Thnx for even considering signing up for something as insane as AF special tactics. America needs all the patriots it can get that are willing to do the dirty jobs.

  • what song is this?

  • Prayer by Disturbed

  • God Bless all the men and woman that protect our freedom, especially CCT. My son just entered the pipeline.

  • does any1 knw wht song this is, and does the USAF have a specops team like the seals, or is the pararescue there only 1??

  • Pararescue, SERE, Combat Control, Weather Ops. All except SERE are forward deployed spec ops soldiers. So yeah, Air Force has got it's spec ops. Tough Bastards too. What is PJ, 10% pass rate?

  • Pararescue and CCT own!!! Hell, USAF Special Ops period!!! Don't think I could do it, though!!! I'm going to do OSI Anti- Terrorism or Counter-Intel, though!! My hat goes off to you guys, and God Bless You!!!

  • dont say you cant do it. Train your ass off. anyone can do anything if they want to and if their willing to put all the hard work and effor t into it

  • guys swore into the USAF a couple weeks ago...im set on doing TACP...Combat Control would be bad ass too but i dont have access to a pool near by to prepare for the swimming part of the PAST test

  • Are these guys in high demand, because im seriously considering going into the air force for maybe combat controll or pararescue? Anyone want to share a little knowledge or give me someadvice, that would be cool.

  • They are in huge demand bro. If you are interested in special ops CCT or PJ is definitely the way to go. It's the best training and the Air Force take better care of their people more than any of the other branches.

  • Sweet video. There are other AF special operators they aren't giving any love to though...

  • @sloppy32 Haha, yeah- Like TACP. Those guys are Pretty Legit. I'm going TACP in august. Hooah.

  • awesome video.

  • pj and cct school is called superman school for a reason. cct has a 80% dropout rate, and pjs are 90% so you have to be superman to make it!!!! im trying out for cct in 2 more yrs!!!!

  • Good luck man, CCT training ain't no joke, so I hope you succeed in your career, peace man

  • I may be training with you then. I'm going for it in 2 years as well.

  • Great Video. I enlisted in the AF couple months ago and go to boot nov.13 I passed the PAST and chose CCT for my job. Any advise or tips from anyone who's gone down this path would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the amazing video.

  • Pararescue and CCT, with the exception of Delta and DEVGRU, are the best trained personell in the US military. None of the slection/training routes for any SOF unit is easy, but PJ and CCT pipelines are notoriously difficult.

  • AFSOC works closely with Rangers, Green Berets, Seals, foreign countries etc. Obviously they meet & or exceed the training their counterparts from other branches. In SF, all branches operate in Sea, Air and on land. Just because there are not movies named after them, doesn't mean some they are lesser Operators. Side note: Air Commandos usually get into Schools other SF units have to wait years for w/in months.

  • 1st. at basic, regardless of what career u chose or if you went in w/o a field, you are given opportunity to test for AFSOC, except for Combat weather. Physiolocical training unit career field also gets jump school slots at Ft. Benning. AFSOC schools include US Army SF training, an intense medical course, Combat Diving, HALO etc. For the uninformed = the same schools all military SF branches attend.

  • Navy seal are the best

  • hooah to that

  • Maybe so, but many of my SEAL friends in San Diego said PJ training is more difficult. One ex-SEAL said they practically try to kill tyhe PJs.

  • Go through any of the Prescuba, Watercon, Army Scuba Schools or Underwater Egress, and you'll think they're trying to kill you too.

  • Are you a Navy Seal?

  • pararescue is much harder than the CCT program...not to say CCT is a walk in the park..Both programs have like a 90% failure rate

  • almost every single wash out washes out in the water con part of the indoc. as long as you train alot in the water and become confortable with it and you have a high IQ you should be fine.

  • I was in the 82nd. Airborne School has to be a joke in terms of schools; its really a vacation.

  • Hey whats up? My uncle thought the same way about Airborne school. He said that he had fun while in their lol.

  • Never been through it myself but as long as you make up your mind 100% you're never going to quit no matter what you should be alright.

  • fucking awesome. i'm considering special tactics, i'm in shape but i dont know if i'll pass superman school. i hear 9 of 10 fail

  • My husband's PJ indoc class had only 7 of 70 pass - he passed

  • I've thought about being a Forward Air Controller or JTAC. I haven't made up my mind.

  • hey shytack, I'd like to say GOD bless your father for serving this great nation. Ya also agree that people shouldn't underestimate USAF especially Special Tactics. I also have a dad that served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and uncle and aunt that served the U.S. Army. My uncle was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne division he got to do static line jumps which i think is pretty cool.

  • Hey yoitired! You are one naive person my friend. What you've just seen on this video is all U.S. USAF Special Tactics. I hear that USAF Special Tactics have about a 70% wash out rate, thats as high as Navy SEALS wash out rates.

  • 70% washout for CCT and 80% washout for PJ's

  • maybe for indoc's...the pipeline is the same...equally as hard pipelines...just at different times...and your swim is ok i guess for beggining level and your run needs to come down to about 9 min or 930...get your sit ups up...pull ups i can't say because i can't watch you do them..we do them our way down here so i can't say..but palms need to be away from you when you do them and lock your arms out with a small pause everytime you go down..and work on crossfits..best overall workouts. good luck

  • this is an awesome vid, im a C-17 loadmaster and i hate how AF Special Ops is so underrated, ive seen part of the CCT and PJ training up close and its tougher than the Rangers, id go as far as saying its equal to Seal training

  • I'm with you. I hate how people underestimate the AF in whole. My dad is a Major and works in communications but he's pulling 12 hour shifts sometimes and works extrememely hard every day.

  • whats the background music?

  • well aparrently your fucking retarded....AF PJ and CRO's do that....they also do shit that u could never dream of....

  • don't forget Combat Controllers man...

  • lol... yoitired... that is possibly the most uneducated statement I ever heard in my life. The air force has a lot of desk jobs and what not, but they also have very elite specil ops, who fight along side SEAL's Green Berets, the works.

  • Go to the "dosomthingamazing" website and click the special ops thumnail or just google "pararescue". Your in for quite an education.

  • This is entirely Air Force Combat Controllers and Pararescuemen. I made filmed most of it and did the editing with one other person. I was a CCT for 8 years. Do some research

  • Why aren't you a CCT anymore. Didnt like the hours?

  • Who are you and what do you do. You need to do some research. I m not CCT anymore since I went to college to get a degree and was selected for OCS.

  • What's your name and class number?

  • I made this video with another CCT guy

The opening song on this video is

    "redemption" by conjure one

    "prayer" by distubed

"Letters to God" by Boxcar racer

  • Guys in the Air Force don't do this, right? Right? I mean, Air Force means you sit in chairs and ride bikes for your evals. HA HA HA First There that Others May Live Hoo-Fucking-Yah

  • You live under a rock. This guy is funny sit behind desk yea right. some jobs are. but then there is cct pj tacp sf. lmao wow this guy needs to get out side. He didnt even say any thing about flying air planes.

  • lol... this is just some dumb jarhead marine or army grunt that couldn't get into the Air Force much less qualify for special forces of any kind so he's just trying to vent his frustration because he realizes the force is better in every way, put your money where your mouth is bro or shut the fuck up.

  • my bro wanted to do this before he joined the Army SF but he had heard that in the ol' AF u cant pick ur job its based on the needs of the service is that true? thanks.

  • Nivisters123 That is not true, that usually only applys to people coming in on waivers. Now if you plan on joining with only one job in mind, and there is no openings for that job, then you might be in a situation where you have to choose from others. It all depends on whether or not that job is available.

  • Pretty sure the main song in most of the video is "Prayer" by Disturbed. And as an aspiring PJ this video is awesome

  • Sweet AFST Vid

  • Matter of fact, what are all of the songs used on this?

  • Pretty sure the main song that was used throughout the majority of the video is "Prayer" by Disturbed. Not sure about the others. And as an aspiring PJ this videos awesome.

  • What's the opening music on this?

  • One of the best CCT video's out there!!!
