Something strange I've noticed with shifu yan lei is that contrairy to most other shaolin videos where the monks look like they're going fast but without force, he looks like he's putting enough strenght in his moves to push a bull. maybe it's just the sound he makes
@NerdyAndJerkish these shoes are awesome! I first bought them for training but just realised they're so comfortable, I started wearing them everyday :D
1:01 allright people, if you attemp to try this type of stretch?..
Then look at this left knee, you might not want to move your left knee after you pushed yourself back.. (And im serious!!!, its gonna hurt like a BITCH!!)
@cerlenox From what I've heard/seen in Shifu Yan Lei's videos and from other shaolin workout programs, I think it's mostly based on getting you fit, but it's useable as a basic program on which you can build (with the other, higher level DVDs or with your own personnal training). Shifu Yan Lei often shows some fighting oriented training, so I think it's mainly practical training, not necessairily looks oriented
im doing some mixed martial arts training (mainly muay thai, boxing and brazilian jiu jitsu) and have incorporated some of those p90x workouts. but this shaolin excercises look great and the strikes and forms being practiced are good for increasing your mental strength/precision. im def gonna try this.
hey did you know he goes sorta super sayan in one of those dvds....i'm not kidding....it was awsome...don't believe me fine check it out for yourself...
ok well i got all the dvds and im working with first one and omg its so tough lol 30min in and im sweatin all over the place and im not good with all the forms i wish i had a teacher to help me with this,
LOL its very hard to find a respectable class as far as western kungfu schools go, I know this guy is for real because he used to teach in my city, but as for a hell of a lot of kungfu and traditional martial arts schools in the west, you will only learn how to get 10 buckets of crap beaten out of you if you even dare try to use it to defend your self, I know that sounds harsh, but I have seen it happen to people unfortunately too often
Yeah, no doubt - most schools I've seen here in the west have terrible foundations as well - wing chun for instance.. I have yet to find a legitimate wing chun school
People also neglect physical training - think about it.... why in the fuck do you see so many Fat karate sensei's and stuff?
hey i go to a pretty good wing chun school. However I can understand your view point completely purely because people often leave good skls early because they think they have "mastered" the stystem (when infact they havent). and then they go out and teach...unfortunately gives wing chun a bad name. but anyways my wing chun school is pretty good, because it combines all the aspects of traditional kung fu, e.g fitness, stance training, and of course the development of chi. So there u go :)

why the hack you don't put the I-Adress into the discription for easy copying ... open every way to let some one find your site through Youtube... you need a little more website kung fu :)
Im a skeptic of "shaolin" martial arts as there are many imposters out there, but this guys is great and I highly recomend the DVD, its a great workout
I have this... I have the whole 15.

@AFGalwayz Shaolin exersizes match up with muay thai pretty well, because they incorporate sanda exersizes. Sanda is muay thai's older brother.
