You will know if your method of dealing with tantrums works if Blake stops having them. If it persists, you could try shutting him in his room until the tantrum is over, but you must explain why you are doing it. For that reason, don't try that method now because he is too young, and it will just scare him. Probably age 3 to 4 is OK, when a child is old enough to understand the reason.

@derekcolman Yeah - we attempted to use 1-2-3 Magic with Blake which is a similar concept, but he was just too young. He didn't "get it" at all!

lol omg blake is so cute. the way u deal with blake tantrums is the way some are taught to when u are working in child care coz u dont have one having a tantrum u have usally 2-12 having a tamturm at any one time and if u spent ur days yelling u wouldnt get anything else done. and ur hair looks awesome

Your little family is so cute :) I don't have kids yet, but I definitely agree with this method of parenting and I will probably be looking back at this when I do have kids assuming it hasn't been deleted by then.
