Well done Gary - this is a great video to watch - you are braver than me! your plan is very clear and exciting, and as you say yourself potentially time consuming to begin with. In regard to autonomy - how do you get around the students choosing the assessment method? do you not have course descriptors that state the assessment method as we do? e.g. how would this be moderated?

Another idea: I once worked with a fella who sent postcards each week to his distance students. The postcards gradually built up into a flash card booklet, with his weekly feedback and notes on the otherside.
