For all you guys planning to enlist, keep in mind that going through recruit training is really NOTHING like what follows for the remaining years of your tour - actually being on active duty in the Marine Corps, in the Fleet, etc. Those drill instructors have their different MOS's just like you will...and although they don't do that duty for a very long time, they're truly great actors in playing the role that they have to in order to train the platoon.

For those who are going to earn the title, remember a couple of things:

1. The drill instructors will be demanding 24/7. Give them nothing less than 100 percent.

2. The drill instructors will not hand you the title of Marine. You have to go get it.

3. Pay attention to the drill instructors at all times. The drill instructors do not like repeating themselves.

Do those basic things, and boot camp will go smoothly. Don't, and well, you'll see.
