  • Hi again! I love your voice and lyrics! I have a band but different style :P If you want, you can check it in mysilence.bandcamp.com . Good night from Barcelona!

  • Nice Harmony. You remind me of Alela & Alina.

  • I just watched this again having found it ages ago, brilliant! As a non-DnD player, this encouraged me to get together with some friends who used to play and enjoy my first game. I look forward to getting a download.

  • Could you give us the chords?

  • I've watched this video over a hundred times and i'm not kidding.

  • @fidiblanc me too man. It's amazing and never gets old.

  • Lovely adaptation of a song from a funny book. Still not available for download?

  • @rsimon32 I'm very sorry but no. The person I went with is a close friend who, unfortunately, has not had much time to mix the tracks. I recorded it before I posted the Youtube video... it looks like I'm going to have to record it myself. :/

  • 14/01/12 thanks for playing that song i would love if i have them rings jade and mithril, song of the day for me.

  • that melody is genious for the lyrics

  • I'm on a rewatching splurge of your videos again :) Sharing them with friends while playing D&D. Seems fitting...

  • @Fangridecraft Thank you kind sir.

  • HO-LY--COW!

  • This has become my go-to song to listen to when I prepare for my D&D sessions. Your voice is inspiring!

  • cute girls, y u no play in my campaign???

  • Marvelous. Patton Oswalt should be pleased. Keep up the good work.

  • PLEASE DO tell us when it`s available for download!!!

  • love this. just started reading that book cause of this vid. when you make new vids?!

  • This is amazing!! Put this on iTunes please!!

  • Fantastic

  • did this ever get put up for download?

  • Very nice song!

    And your voices, lovely!

Please, pleae, please keep making music.

    *bows*

  • Wow, this was brilliant.

  • This really is a beautiful song. I can't help but find myself drawn to it again and again. There is such a sad poetry to it that tugs at my nerdly heart. I loved it so much that I wrote a quote from it into the cover of a gifted D & D book for a friend.

I think people are too quick to abandon the beautiful fantasy of playing pretend. Life is short If I can forget all my troubles and think I am my ultimate and fantastic version of me or can provide that fantasy for others, it is worth it.

  • @implejr Well said!

  • Damn I love this song and your other one " Tonight"...Please keep posting more of your songs......and the downloads .......Please....

  • Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in...

  • The green peace sign on your guitar is wrong.

    Great song. . . Just. . . . No.

  • I've listened to this so many times in the last few weeks, I should really see if I can get a campaign going again sometime, it's only been 20 years since I played.....

  • @greenspreedotca Ooh! sign me up!

  • AMAZING. Totally and utterly. I hope I sing as well as you.

And I'm a douchebag, but it would be WONDERFUL if you graced my channel with your presence and told me how my voice sounded. Thank you.

    BTW, AMAZING.

  • I come from the Mary Sue.

  • Flawless harmonies! This is such a beautiful and powerful song.

  • Patton Oswalt doesn't pay for meals and beer with mere money, but tales of ADVENTURE!!!

  • Any chance this'll be up for download?

  • @gigaxaronld I went to a studio for this one and it's taking much longer than i expected but yes, eventually!

  • I love this song and 'Tonight', they are really inspiring. There is some sadness attached to this one, though... But I think fantasy should never be removed from anyone's life. Please keep them coming! P.S. You rule!

  • Amazing!!!

Your song honor all of us D&D players and fantasy lovers :-)

    Keep up the good work!!!

  • Amazing song! you dont happen to have the tabs do you? or at least the chords? if you could, message me with them. thanks!!!

  • Last week i bought The book ! Thanks very much allie ! Your song is amazing !

  • I cannot seem to listen to this enough times.

  • I just picked up Zombie Spaceship Wasteland this week, and I cannot express how fantastic it is. Thank you for showing us that.

  • @fatherofthemoons I'm glad you checked it out. It's a great read. Thank you a lot.

  • Hauntingly Beautiful.

  • fucking amazing

  • I would seriously buy an album of you guys, doubly so if you wrote a song about my D&D character. He is called Tenby Pissfingers (on account of his unsanitary habits) but don't let that put you off! He likes climbing walls, detecting illusions and setting traps.

  • @Redrazors1 Thank you. I'm making a kickstarter account soon and am thinking about offering personalized songs. I'll keep you posted!

  • Very nice song ! you are talented !

The best Voice about DnD song !

  • This is so very well done. I have been listening and relistening for the past two weeks, ever since I stumbled upon this gem. The last part "my sword would rend and gnaw and lash" gives me goosebumps. I am thoroughly enjoying this song. Thanks a lot.

  • @ariolanwhitestaff Thanks a lot!

  • @TheRealBarnez Hi there. It is called a Capo and you're spot on. The Capo alters the pitch. I usually have mine at the 8th fret and higher because I've got a limited range and sing more easily when it's high.

  • I have two questions of the utmost importance!

    1.) Are you single?

2.) Will you go out with me?

Seriously though, I've watched this more times than I can count, and I can count pretty high. You two have composed an amazingly epic score, full of emotion and thought. Please continue making music; if you stop I will cry blood and soul and you certainly shouldn't have that on your conscious.

  • @00098151 I promise to continue making music! Im very glad you like what you've heard.

In regards to your questions, I have a very kick ass boyfriend. Hope you keep listening!

  • @Cossbysweater C'est la vie. I shall anxiously await your next song. If we ever cross paths we'll have to play a game of DnD. ;-)

  • Very nice! The more I listen the more I enjoy it. It's a perfect balance of musical talent and badass nerdy lyrics! Please keep it up! Any chance I could request a Led Zeppelin cover?

  • Wonderful!

  • What a sad tale. I went and read the book after seeing this. :3

This song is beatiful though, so haunting. I hope to see yet another D&D song from you, I've enjoyed the current two massively!

*has "One More Night" on pause for when this ends*

  • @TheRealBarnez I'm glad you checked out the book. So fantastic.

  • awesome voices, awesome song, please make more

  • insert in the tags : cute and beautiful girl :)

  • Beautiful, thank you for this.

  • I think i fall in love of your voice.. <3

    Greetings from France :)

  • Great song! I haven't played in over 20 years but when I heard this it wanted me to start playing again, and made me think of all the good friends and times I had when playing. To bad my DnD buddies are scattered across the globe now. I would love to pick up the dice and go on one more adventure. Keep the songs coming, any songs, I love them all.

  • @mattmccall33 I'm sorry you aren't playing like you used to. I'm sure you'll have an opportunity to get back together with your friends some day and it'll be great.

  • You girls rock. Beautiful with voices as clear as fine crystal. If you take this properly, you reminded me of Enya singing May it Be. Keep up the great work. If I hit the lottery I'll contract you two to a fantasy gaming CD compilation. Take care, may the sun always be at your backs, and you always make your 'save' rolls. ;p

  • @lawman33473 Lottery number advice: 4 8 15 16 23 42 Thanks!

  • You and Patton Oswalt should totally be nominated for a Pegasus award (it's a filking thing). This is awesome!

  • @brunsworks I'll have to look that up. Thank you. :)

  • I could probably stand to stop gaming for a while. I'm not gonna, any longer than the time it takes me to check my subs. But I absolutely should.

  • Pretty but Sad. Your songs seem like a gentle suggestion to stop gaming rather than a celebration of it. Not what I was looking for after coming home from my weekly game.

  • @evilhalfling1 I would never encourage someone to stop playing. In Patton Oswalts book (where I got the lyrcs), he explains how much he needed DnD. As he grows a bit, he chooses mild popularity and sexual encounters with girls over RPGS. I found it incredibly sad and wanted to put that feeling to music. There are many fantastic songs about DnD that are more uplifting and fun but there's a certain sadness to a certain type of player I wanted to address. Thank you. Sorry for the rant.

  • Very Relaxing, cheered me up after a hard day.

  • Lovely, couldn't find a better word... ^^

  • Allie Goertz, Epic Level Bard.

  • This is really lovely - and nerdy - all at once. Bravo, ladies!

  • I totaly Love It °o°

  • this is an incredible song, made even more enthralling by your golden fingers and silver tongue. a truly masterful story, an idea that had pierced all characters minds at a point or another, and even every gamer. thank you for putting the thought i had had every day of my gaming life into words i could never weave, and into song i could never create.

the world is a better place with your talent in it.

  • @sunder92 That was beautiful. Thank you so much.

  • @Cossbysweater that was what i meant to say to you. it WAS beautiful, and thank you for doing it.

  • I keep coming back to this video. It's so lovely :) I've had it on repeat in the background while I use my computer, so relaxing.

  • keep em coming!

  • That was lovely...

  • awesome! (:

  • This is disarmingly beautiful to hear and such a cool idea for a song.

Thank you for sharing this and please do more!

  • Fantastic.

    Like Fox cancelled series good.

  • this is fucking amazing

  • You girls sound great! This is wonderful! As a fellow DnD nerd myself, I adore this! Way to go!!

  • A beautiful rendition of a lovely song. More please :)

  • Nerd Girls! Pretty too! Me Gusta

  • Fantásticas...adorei o vídeo.

  • This is by far the best thing I have seen this month.

  • So excellent. Great job!

  • This was so epic and excellent. You girls have crazy cool talent and damn good taste in material!

  • Girls, I would like to apologize for turning ur video comment section into a joke. U are both very talented and this song has actually grown on me from all of the times I have listened while writing my ignorant comments. There is some very terrible content on YouTube, but you are just sharing your love for music and all things nerdy with the world. Kudos for that, being a fellow nerd myself. I would like to apologize formally and encourage you to keep going and working hard on your talents

  • @wethotgrass Thank you fully. I sincerely appreciate what you've said. I don't know many people that would take the time to apologize on YouTube and your kindness means a lot to me.

  • I pretty much love everything you do. Please continue to make more.

  • Um, has Patton Oswalt seen this yet? Because I'm pretty sure it's the kind of thing that would make him really, really happy.

  • @lordshamus He has! He was kind enough to 'Tweet' it!

  • Great song :D

  • these type of chicks, interesting, nice to be fiends with, but they make the worst girlfiends. GAhd! 0_0

  • I play MMORPG and srsly when i listen your music. It's just epic. The history of my character. The begin to level max. The quest, the monsters. epic srsly

  • Please make this available for download soon!!! My sister and I are trying to learn the parts :)

  • @averageflo Hi! I definitely will!

  • This is really great girls, i love your voices and you sound really good together, I've suscribed and I'm waiting for more, tell me if you ever release a CD :D

  • I'd just like to say, that is amazing, Patton is definitely my favorite comedian, and a song that beautiful about anything Patton related is disturbing, haunting, awe inspiring and downright wrong. I love it.

  • I love you. So much. So, so much.

  • Amazing. I don't think I've ever heard something put to music quite so well. You rock!

  • Subscribed.

  • Linked on Buzzfeed and Neatorama, nice... :)

  • Does anyone know why it's only showing my views?

  • @DubTyrant haha!

  • Lindas cantoras + voz incrivel + D&D = \o/

  • WHERE IS THE FREAKING DOWNLOAD BUTTON?

  • very nice

  • Very talented, ladies! The guitar is haunting, and the two-part harmony is great. I hope you plan to keep up the creative work! Now, to track down Patton's book...

  • This sounds like a musical audiobook, I loved it :D

Someone needs to make a video for this, maybe in like flash or something, just because it would work so well. I agree with Dante up top, very haunting.

  • I really like the beginning when you harmonize on "Gamotia." That is a very cool sound.

  • If I were your DM, I would find a way to give you bonus experience for this and Tonight. I would also probably try to get you to roleplay a song at some point even if you weren't a bard.

"The bugbear is standing next to an alarm. You may be able to lure him away with some noise.... Yea, sure, you can sing. That may not cause the bugbear to sound the alarm. I will give you +5 on the perform check if you roleplay the song." DM Score!

  • Amazing stuff, you are an inspiration for all geeks around the globe! From the bottom of my heart i thank you for soothing my nerves with you voice after a long day at work :)

  • As a big Patton Oswalt fan, I thought this was wonderful. I hope Patton himself has heard/seen this.

  • easily the hottest nerds on the internet.

  • Love the blend of your voices. Do some more together. How about a Lord of the Rings song!?! Beautiful and dragon lover--what a wonderful combination. I certainly hope you get to perform professionally. Maybe you already are.

  • Give Mercedes a chance?

  • @uglyshoe haha, yep. 15 year old me somehow didn't know how to make a peace sign. 20 year old me thinks it's funny that I left it.

  • @Cossbysweater I watched the video again, wondering where that was. I thought that maybe there was a hand-made poster behind the cats or something. Half way through I realised that it's been staring me in the face the whole time. XD

  • Very good. I really like the harmony.

  • Agreed you voices blend very nicely together. Sing some more songs.

  • Nice voices and song BUT... They sound like all of the other hipster chicks out there. You all sing the same way. Maybe time to try something fresh and original?

  • @wethotgrass I only have one thing to say.....HATERS GONNA HATE.....B*tch

  • @MrSpikyyo Not at all. I said that the voices were very good and the lyrics are nice, but I am sick of hearing everyone sounding the same. Everyone sounds like Zoey Deschanel. At least she is not trying to rap like the crap that was on the MTV Music Awards over the weekend. It is sad that some of those people are famous. So go f*uck yourself Spiky

  • @wethotgrass Im sorry i couldnt hear you over your hating...but really i don't think she sounds like Zoey Deschanel..Miss Goertz just has a light melodic voice which isnt that uncommon but the what makes her different is the music she sings and quite honestly her voice is very pleasant and in her own way unique...but regardless i respect your opinion though disagree with it.....though you are absolutely right about the sad famous people, i cant stand kim kardashian..and balls to you good sir

  • @wethotgrass ya bitch

  • @DerekBracho Fuck you dick lips. I can express my opinion if I want. Learn how to spell.

  • @wethotgrass Hey, I don't mind if you don't like my music, and disagree with comments. You're free to speak your mind. But I do think It's too bad that you have such a seeming disdain for music you don't enjoy when you could very easily ignore it- focusing on things you DO like. I appreciate you taking the time to watch my video and leave a comment telling me what you thought. If you ever post a video of your own, I'll be sure to let you know what I think.

  • @wethotgrass Nice homophobic come back.

  • @DerekBracho I don't know how that can be construed as homophobic?

  • @wethotgrass How is calling someone "dick lips" not homophobic? The insult "dick lips" infers that I have "dick" on my lips and that it is a bad thing, therefore it is homophobic. Next time choose your words more carefully. I'm done with you.

  • @DerekBracho Actually, I was referring that your lips were actually penises instead of lips. So I am inferring that you resemble a duck with lips that look like a duck's bill but are instead made out of penises. BTW, why are you talking shit when you are telling these girls their music sucks.

  • @wethotgrass Woah, that is epic. I applaud you for that great visualization. I never said one word of my opinion on their music.

I am just really bored at work.

  • @DerekBracho

Everything's homophobic or racist with you politically correct morons. Get off your elitist high horse.

  • @90sJunkie1 Sorry, not everyone can be ignorant.

  • @DerekBracho

It's possible to not hate gays, and also to not be politically correct. It's a novel concept that an elitist like you wouldn't understand. Hating gays is not a good thing. Neither is political correctness and those who adhere to it like a religion.

  • @90sJunkie1 I'm cool with being an elitist if that entails not saying derogatory terms like "gays". Lets just say that we have a difference of opinions and call it a day.

  • @DerekBracho

It's derogatory to say gays now? See the senselessness of it. It all changes. It's all subjective. I'm sensible because my feelings toward gay people are not derogatory. The fact that I use a term that is now considered derogatory does not mean my attitude towards them is negative. It means the perception of me is negative because the word has been deemed unpolitical correct. In this scenario, perception is not reality. I'll keep treating gay people with respect despite what is PC

  • @90sJunkie1 I do not see it as being senseless. I do not believe it is subjective, but as is said before we have a difference of opinion and this is not the place to go in depth about it. So have a good day and keep treating people with respect.

  • @90sJunkie1 It -is- derogatory to say the word "gays" to refer to a group of gay people. The word "gay" is an adjective. The word "gays" is a noun. This quantification is derogatory in nature, regardless of whether or not you consciously intend to be derogatory by using the word. "Fat" is an adjective one could use to describe people who are overweight. Most would agree that it would be wrong to refer to these overweight people as "fats". Using the word "gays" is wrong for this same reason.

  • @SirGrinningSoul

Get off your high horse. You're a slave to political correctness.

  • @SirGrinningSoul

asian is an adjective as well, but its okay to say asians. I saw some asians over there. Same thing. Adjective pluralized. They are a group and so the pluralization stands. You are an idiot.

  • @90sJunkie1 Ah but saying Asians to refer to a group of Asian people is also derogatory. An Asian person would not likely say, "I am -an- Asian." They would more than likely say, "I am Asian." Using the word Asians (or gays, or blacks, or Mexicans, etc.) strips away the human aspect of the group--they become quantified by an aspect of their person instead. Any form of adjective-based quantification is thus going to be derogatory. I nevertheless appreciate your rebuttal (minus the idiot part).

  • You're probably right. I still hate political correctness with a passion. I don't appreciate people assuming that because I don't bow to the standards of PC society that I hate gay people or I am ignorant. It's not true.

  • @90sJunkie1 I understand where you're coming from. Constantly being politically correct is often a bit annoying. It's nevertheless necessary because political incorrectness is indeed offensive to those who are affected by it (whether they realize that it pertains to them or not). One can certainly be politically incorrect without meaning harm. One can also use a very sharp knife to cut vegetables instead of using it to stab someone. The knife remains sharp regardless.

  • Look the damn singing is really good and the song is cool... I am just expressing my opinion that too many young female singers are emulating the same tonal sounds and voice softness.

  • I love this so much. It's so .... hauntingly beautiful. Both of your voices work compliment each other so perfectly. I hope you work together again many times.

  • Comment removed

  • Would you marry me ?

  • I got shivers man.... you two are like the true bards of old.

  • The cats convinced me - I'm subscribing!

  • I would so love to learn the guitar part for this

  • Your voice is a dream...

  • & Reebok pumps?

  • I really liked the lyrics to the song. I know you didn't write them but you two did a hell of a job at giving them life. I never played D&D but the song really makes the fantasy quite appealing. Heh, in short, I really enjoyed the vid.

  • Well done ladies, I really liked this.

  • Reminds me of a dragon I once encountered in a D&D campaign. He had been driven mad by seeing the true nature of his universe: that he was a make-believe thing commanded by strange beings from another world who stared deeply into strangely shaped and colored gems and allowed fate to be decided randomly. He wished to share this revelation with the rest of the world and watch it all burn as everyone lost their minds and wills to live.

  • wow, its like a nerdier Ladytron, i love the mixture of both your voices, please do more songs together

  • When will you put this on Bandcamp?

  • This is so amazing! I love your music style ladies! Thank you for creating this :)

  • Apparently, I need to do more work is chicks would rather go for the zombie king over myself. Oh who am I kidding you both have pointy knees and need to eat a sandwich. Do not want. (0.-)mV

  • @TheLifePerfect I eat all the sandwiches.

  • @Cossbysweater Don't take it personally, I kept it fairly simple for the audience whom is stupid.

  • This is gorgeous.
