Part of it is going into forge with invincibility turned on, they have a "model" and then things such as plasma nades, fuel rods and spike grenades are used to give different effects... i don't know how the hell they make the purple and pink ones though, hope it helped, if you have some time please check out my montage that will be up ny tomorrow :)
