Air Hogs The Real Lightning McQueen RC Car - Interactive Toy

Bought this toy for my nephew's 4th birthday from Target at clearance for only $25 dollars! I didn't get to see him play with it 'cause I gotta run, but when he opened the wrappers, his eyes totally lid up. Looks like a great toy from the video review, I hope he enjoys it.

This video inspired me to purchase one for my son this Christmas. The first one had a dead remote, the exchanged one was dead in the box (the remote turned on though), the next exchange stopped playing audio after thirty minutes of play. I swapped batteries, etc to no avail. Fortunately my Son is a great kid and is taking it well. He doesn't want another air hogs McQueen. Shame on you air hogs and your crap quality. Disney/Pixar should never have licensed this crap,

Is there any way to turn off the sound on this RC? It sounds like the revving engine and squealing tires would get annoying very fast.

@notsocarebear I hear you, as a Dad - the non stop beeping of some toys can drive me crazy. This one is not too bad. In the race mode - it is not at all. In the Rookie mode, where Lightning keeps telling you which way to turn, that does get a bit much after a while.
