{COMMENT 3} Obama did not follow the national anthem flag code (which is required ONLY if one wants to uniformly respect the flag) but he did show respect for the flag individually in his own way by standing up during the anthem and singing the words to the anthem. As a U.S. veteran I do not, and will not, pledge allegiance or salute the flag , However I will fight and defend this country because it is my home and the home of my children. it is the best place to live on earth in my opinion , an opinion I will fight and die for if called to do so. I respect that Mr. obama will not salute. I know people that have saluted the flag and then violated every principle this country is built upon. even the ku klux Klan saulutes and we know how "patriotic" they are.
