Vivian `s playing with Riverdogs was brilliant the best of his career.He certainly did turn into a hack for DL.That was a sad day when he joined that band and I lost respect for him.

I play guitar(for a few years, still learning, still young) and sure I have never played for Def lepard, or the great Dio, but I have played with Rob Lamothe. It's a shame that he isn't the one that is famous. I am just happy Rob is currently writing more songs for Riverdogs. Also for your statement of being ignorant... Maybe you should look in the mirror.

No kidding, that was a great solo, I still cannot believe that was Vivian. I just never thought he was that good. This must had been him at his pinnacle. Rob Lamothe is incredible, I love his solo stuff, and with Craig Erickson.

Do you want to hear a great Riverdogs record? Go on ebay and look for Riverdogs-Absolutely Live. It has Nick Brophy on Guitar. (Who is the bass player on this record) Some of the most soulful guitar playing I have ever heard. Rob's voice is incredible for a live recording.

I still listen to the RIverdogs CD often. One of the best hard rock releases of the era.

There have been some reunion dates here and there. Leaving Leppard for the dogs now would be like quitting a job as a high paid surgeon to work at McDonalds......
