  • Mangovania!

  • @Menorius Thanks bro :)

  • those fucking elves man they are bamf

  • The quality.... is so.... gooood

  • What's the name of this song from 0:06 to 0:38?

  • @SubMission1312 : Look under video info. ;-)

  • In Harry Potter: The elves are slaves to the wizards and witches.

In The Lord of the Rings: They are flawless, nature-loving and beautiful creatures.

  • @inats777

& in skyrim the high elves are racist jerks

  • great, now i'm going to go on a LOTR bender

  • I wish i was an elf so i could of gone to Helm's Deep and defeat the Urk hai.

  • elven elite troops

  • Love the elves!

  • guy at 0:20 thought "Hell yea"

  • Comment removed

  • This is one of my favorite scenes. I always get goosebumps when I see them marching.

  • did all of them die?

  • @95rollin1

    Yes.

  • I could cry, simply awesome

  • on 1:09 is awesome.....

  • Stop SOPA: Sons of Youtube! Of 9gag! My brothers. I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the freedom of speech is no more, when we make the internet useless and break all bonds of troll-hood, but it is not this day. An hour of silence and shattered keyboards when the Age of Freedom comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good web, I bid you stand, Men of the Internet!

  • @Menorius Dude Your comment is the most creative comment I've ever read on Youtube. Yes to Hell with SOPA!

  • @xiongkeng : I did not made it, only spread it. I could have thought of it however, but that doesn't count.

Hope people will spread it around the web and see where the ship of the Elder strands.

  • @Menorius Hell, I could've agreed with SOPA before reading this, but sure as hell not afterward.

  • @Menorius Incredible.

    *sniff*

  • Blood elves? *cough*

  • 171 elves like this

  • LOTR was a book/series of books however you like to see it as, that was/were published in 1954-1955. WoW and Warhammer are...games. Board game, and MMORPG. The Lord of the Rings is a 60 year old epic. I don't see how it can be compared to video games...

  • It doesn't get more fuckin' epic than this :)

  • racismmm racismmm

  • we all love the elves, don't we? :)

Mark that Non-profit please. Don't have such an account. Vote up if you agree on above terms.

  • @Menorius A lot of idiots get this wrong, they put this up on entertaining videos, not what used above. I HATE SOPA but people just use this to shield themselves, even though they're complete dumbasses because youtube is pretty much all entertainment. But yes Non Profit accounts should be allowed to upload whatever they want

  • ELVES ARE BADASSES!!!

  • @EdsCollegeLife Would have much rather see the rangers of the north in action.

  • I laughed at Legolas's shit eating grin.

  • this is so WORLD OF WARCRAFT

  • @swergiopc : No: World of Warcraft is so Lord of the Rings.

Can't believe that you compare it with that game, that isnt even hard for noobs anymore.

We wouldn't survive a day in ME and WoW players not even more then a hour.

Good night and Happy New Year!

  • @Menorius both WoW and Lord of the Rings are so Warhammer ;)

  • @Kunib3rto : Please don't compare this epic with Warhammer or WoW. It simply doesn't work due to the, almost, fact that LOTR is for the more educated lover/fan of fantasy. ;-) It goed a lot deeper and I am convinced most will agree with me.

  • @Menorius I just mean, that both WoW and LOTR are inspired by Warhammer, in the way of designing Orcs, Elbes/Elves and so on. Even Tolkien wont deny that ;)

  • @Kunib3rto Your Wrong.... The Lord of the Rings was written during the Second World war and was published in 1955. Warhammer was first made in 1987 with its first publication Warhammer Fantasy Battle.

  • @Menorius Saying it's for "more educated" people is a bit presumptuous. I've read everything from the Hobbit to the Silmarillion and it's just a different (and older) style of fantasy that's all. If you compare to ANY video game it certainly seems much deeper, no matter if its WoW or the LoTR MMO. If you compare it to the root work and lore behind some of Warhammer then it's just a matter of personal taste, not education.

  • @Kunib3rto Dungeons and dragons, warhammer and WoW all are inspirations from the lotr books which are way older than them

  • @FreedomFighter08 Yes and LOTR lore also took inspiration from folktales and myths

Nobody is original, even cavemen paintings are just cheap imitations of from the animals that roamed the land.

  • @Kunib3rto Lord of the Rings is more than 60 years old...

  • @Menorius WoW is pretty simpleminded compared to Lotr. After Skyrim I just can't return to WoW.In sKYRIM WHEN i SAW Whiterun I spoke to myself Edoras,Rohan.WoW story for me ended with patch 3.3.5.Game ended when I and my friends quit in march 2009.After that it's just failed community of jackasses thanks to dungeon finder and failed story full of mary sue characters, retconns and general bullshit.can't compare to LOTR but it did have certain epicness once.

  • @sumadinac92 : I still play it from time to time, but it has become lazy. I tried Anzu for over 100 times now and still no drop. There isn't any logic in the game either.

Let's not get off topic and just enjoy the scene. I don't want to ruin the comments section any further talking about a game that has lend most of it'

s creation and fanatasy from LOTR.

  • @swergiopc World of Warcraft wouldn't even exist without the Lord of the Rings. The books predate WoW, you do realize that? The films are based on and designed from the descriptions in the books. You have no idea what you were talking about so fuck off.

  • New challenge: 200 Likes before next friday.

  • @Menorius : More is always welcome. ;-)

  • dat Haldir... broest of all the bros

  • New title: Elves arrive at the North Pole.....

  • Haldir in the books is watching the movie, sees his character die, Haldir: "F you Peter Jackson!"

  • I don't care that this scene wasn't in the books... it worked in the movie.

  • really got to say it but.. orlando bloom-(legolas) looks better in blonde

  • GOOSEBUMPS.

  • I WANNA BE AN ELF!!! :(

  • This scene gives me goosebumps every time.

  • Well some elves who fought returned. But just a few of them. And they accompanied their kin in the journey to the Undying Lands.

  • @EternalAshira I see your point but some scenes are simply not there; by the way some elves did survived when Theoden told Aragorn to pull back to the keep. Another thing is that we may be grateful to Jackson that he actually included elves in this battle. Read the books and you will see how many things are different.

  • i wont download that song !!!!!! where to find it

  • @Legendary111100 : Maybe looking a little closer. ;-)

  • santas gonna b mad ahah

  • Thalmor scum.

Oh wait wrong series, go elves!

  • And all those fully amoured elves were killed while Legolas survived unscathed, his only armour protecting his shoulders. >< PJ should have shown that some survived, that's just depressing.

  • @EternalAshira : I can agree on that one. At least 5 to 20 of them. Sometimes it doesn't feel as an homage to the Elves.

  • @Menorius And it SUCKED that Haldir died... wasn't happy with that one -_-

  • @EternalAshira very true. and in the books Legolas was the only elf at Helms Deep. I think JRRT should have showed the Elves more in the trilogy, even though it was focused more on the downfall of man. regardless JRRT is still my hero xD

  • @arrowofG0d if you read Silmarillion or children of Húrin, you'll get much more info and stories about elves when they were at their greatest. :)

  • @FreakyGremlinDK Yeah I`ve read the Silmarillion a long time ago hahaha love it

  • i want to have that awesome perfect, pale elven face xD

  • For those complaining about the elven army in Helm's Deep, I see it as a compromise to the omission of any mention of Dol Guldur and the twins. PJ could have left all elves out of the war, but he managed to show that they still participated in the downfall of Sauron without introducing a deviating plotline or new characters that would confuse the audience. And they may not have been in the books, but elves are probably the coolest Tolkien race and to see them in action is never a bad thing.

  • @pippacrawford : One of the best comments under my upload. Thank you.

Btw people: Help me reach 100 likes before monday. ;-)

  • @Menorius I shamelessly uploaded it to Twitter/FB for you. This is a video worth watching.

  • @FelixTheNomad : No problem. If it helps. ;-)

  • @pippacrawford u also left out that the reason he wanted to do this as well was to honor the last alliance of elves and men seen in the prologue as well and to pay homeage to it to say "the alliance was broken but we would still like to help in any way possible"

also if u've ever seen the movie zulu the same thing happend i believe "300 or so agianst 100,000 zulu's the elves arriving kinda evened the odds a bit and gave them a fighting chance"-PJ in the behind the scenes extended cut

  • @pippacrawford i think they were a little under played. all that i've read from elves and the orcs just seem to cut them down with no problems at all

  • @pippacrawford so true and i like aswell that he put them in. th i dislike the death of Haldir as he didn't die in the books. tho i can't remember if he died duing an attack Mordor lunched at Lorien

  • @pippacrawford Hmm... Did you know that Tolkien was the man who first gave "birth" to the kind hearted elves?

Back i the times elves were thiveous creatures and tricksters, kidnapped and murdered children, their only goal was mischief.

They later "evolved"(through tales) to what we call faeries, small creatures up to no good either. They then changed to be of a kind heart, the good alligned Faeries.

It was from those that Tolkien created the good alligned elves we know today :)

  • @pippacrawford Couldn't agree more, PJ did the best he could with what he could do, without ruining the flow of the story. personally speaking, this was one of my fav scenes in the second movie.

  • who care about book.. this scene is the best >:D

  • J'aime trop le passage où ils se retournent tous en même temps!!

  • @DamePolgara L Sorry, je ne parle pas francais.

  • @Menorius he said "i like the bit where they turn at the same time" :D

  • @DamePolgara Legolas est un prince de mirkwood

  • Elves kick ass. That is all :3

  • What the world needs is more Elves.

  • @schallrd1 well we are tripping over them in this film god you cant move for bloody elves.strange i dont seem to remember as many in the actual books .and they dont fight at helms deep.peter jackson has some cheek fucking with the best story ever purely as elf fanboy service.and for turning gimli into a total cock he needs a good kick in the nadz.

  • except they didnt .

  • I don't get how the elves came to fight if they were leaving for the undying lands

  • @catagon12345 they didnt this never happens in the book nor is gimli a total arse in the books.

  • @Level9ing how did Rohan hold off then?

  • @catagon12345 by fighting really hard all night until Gandalf returns with Erkenbrand of the Westfold and his warriors.theres also a load of Huorns which turn up in the form of a forest that wasnt there the day before .the orcs brake and flee into the forest lol bad move as the Huorns rip them to bits.

  • @Level9ing oh, nice

  • @catagon12345 you should pick up the book or even the unabridged audio book for your mp3 player.there a bbc radio play as well but they had to cut bits from that because it was made before cd`s and was on 13 tapes.anyway both are good so try to find them ,god knows you may even find bits of them on here .oh and btw gimli is actually a very cool character not the cheesey dwarf stereotype they turned him into for these films.

  • Blood Elves i love this army

  • Is that Legolas touching Haldir?!

    How he dares!!! 1:08

  • @7995idan : Yes, why do you think all the others turn around when he does that? ;-)

  • @Menorius because legolas is the King of the Woodland Realm of Northern Mirkwood..

  • @kontossavvas He is prince of the Woodland Realm. Thranduil is is father [the king]

  • @Menorius "Peter Jackson added it too make the beginning of the battle, later, a bit more thrilling." yeah just like he turned Gimli into an annoying arsehole.its seems elves sell films and because of this he and his wife crow bared them into the film any chance they could.and since they are kissing up to elf fan-boys they make the dwarf a total twat .

  • @Level9ing : Then you my friend should skip the Hobbit I en II. xD

  • @Menorius oh god aye man i plan to .i just hope you understand why when they do shit like this it pisses some ppl off lol

  • @Level9ing : It can angry ppl yes, but as it is not a historically true movie I as a fan too really don't care too much. If you chance details In a movie like A bridge too Far for instance, which they did, then it would be something else.

I as a fan can understand why Jackson co. did this. ;-)

  • @Menorius Legolas is the prince of Mirkwood, Elven royalty

  • @7995idan ????

  • @7995idan Considering As a prince, I think Legolas can do whatever he wants...

  • hairs stand up on the arms. if only tolkien wrote this. such an epic moment in the movie. p.s (silmarillion is more epic than lotr)

  • this scene makes me chill :)

  • Alternate ending- Elf Army arrives at the gates, but just as they want to walk in they suddenly close with a loud BAMN! Haldir:What are thy doing..? Soldier: Just hold one for a second, how do we know your real elves--? Theodon: Yeahh, how are suposse to know that? Haldir: erm, look at us.. Soldier: well that says nothing, how do we know your not disguised orcs. Haldir: erm, look at us? Theodon: Yeah, Elves are way uglier!! and you look like fag's Haldir: s'cuse me..? Elf army retreats..
  • music? whats the song

  • @zocphra Host of Eldar

  • @31BM0Z thanks man

  • I hate this scene... It's like "Hey! The elves are coming! Our heroes! They are so awesome!"... Elves in lotr are jerks! They didn't help the race of men in the field during the war against sauron or saruman. Legolas was the only one.

  • @rantifusaxp Yeah, that's because most elves left Middle Earth, and all died during Helm's Deep. The elves couldn't manage to stay....all but one...Legolas

  • @EverythingsUpload There were NO ELVES IN HELM'S DEEP! Elves DIDN'T HELP MEN DURING THE WAR!... Read the books please...

  • @rantifusaxp FALSE! Legolas was there, and he is indeed an Elf. So ONE Elf was there. Yes, Peter Jackson shouldn't have put them in and took out Tom Bombadil. But the Elves at Helms Deep were still badass, it's like alternate history or something.

  • @America2470 In my first comment I said "Legolas was the only one." So yeah, I know about Legolas being an elf and being there... I was talking about the elven army.

I don't really care about Tom Bombadil, I know that sometimes when you make a movie based on a book you HAVE to take out some scenes, or else it woul be even longer... That's ok... BUT, adding new things that break the lotr lore... that's something else.

  • @rantifusaxp What about the sons of Elrond? They both fought in the battle of the Pelennor fields and the battle for the black gate. And the elves were the ones who set in motion the events that led to the destruction of the ring. And they protected the fellowship in Lorien, and - though it's not shown in the films - fought back a batallion of orcs on the western borders. Not to mention the battle of the last alliance, the Nirnaeth arnoediad, the war of wrath, etc, against far more powerful foes

  • @rantifusaxp Well, there is differentiation between the book and the film, but actually the Elves have power throughout the War of the Ring either way. Elves fought alongside Dwarves in the Northern Theatre of War, which included Lorien, Mirkwood, Eregion and Erebor. Elves fought in the thousands against Saurons Northern forces, which if allowed to swing South would have literally doubled the force attacking Gondor. 300,000 Orcs and Easterlings assaulted the North. None survived...

  • @rantifusaxp The Elves captured the evil fortress of Dol Guldur, and Galadriel personally levelled the ramparts with a furious tornado, killing any orcs that had not already been slain. Rivendell was largely untouched, though it to came under siege at least once by Goblin armies. After Mordor lost several battles in a row, Dol Guldur was left open to assault. You see, Elves, even as shadows of their former power and glory, still had the power to hold the North together, arguably a grand victory.

  • @rantifusaxp Overall, the Elves had bled themselves enough for the sakes of largely ungrateful Men for millennia. Tens of thousands had died in the War of the Last Alliance; many Elrond knew, as he was the Herald to High Elven King Gil-Galad. Indeed, Gil-Galad, the last high king of the elves, was personally slain by Sauron (who went on to kill Elendil of Numenor in a similar fashion) Elves had suffered for a long, long time. To be fair to them, they were their own race, and never much help...

  • @rantifusaxp The LOTR TTT Host of the Eldar scene, is a twist of the sons of elrond and the dunedain allies arriving. Tolkien wrote the battles very laboriously, in my opinion, and its clear that they could not be kept loyal to - its dull compared to Jacksons edit. Still, there were some good moments lost; Eomer and Aragorn fighting side by side declaring the names of their swords ('Gimli tossing' obviously replaced it) Around 250-300 Galadhrim Archers was all the Elves would be able to afford.

  • my fav scene in TTT....chills...

  • I always wondered...wtf is up with Legolas at 1:14? lol

  • @CptChaos47

he had his first orgasm in life, when he saw his friends coming ...

  • I shiver when I see this scene, too much epicness

  • Kind of wish at times I was an elf, got great vision, great hearing, and are accurate as fuck with a bow and arrow.

    Boom Headshot.

  • I love this film so much and I love the trilogy so much :D. And uploader, how do you manage to upload these videos without being caught for copyright. Everytime I upload a video, I get a copyright claim. And the stupid dispute form doesn't fix it :(

  • @HarryPotterOnly : I try not to upload anything from other movie developers. In this way I have a better change this video stays online.

Weird thing is that this video was not claimed by anyone for weeks. It was just public, which gave me the feeling they gave me the (C). That would be nice, If they gave me the (C) so I could upload lots of other cool LOTR clips without trouble.

You should check my other video's too. I extend music from time to time and I got a couple of cool pieces onlin.

  • @Menorius

Clips and such are usually not that much of an issue. It's all about if they actually WANT to claim their copyright on something, because if they aren't out trying to enforce it you won't lose it. But maybe they realize that it's kinda hopeless to take down every clip of LotR on youtube ;)

  • @Andreazor : Problem is that I allready lost a good account with this clip in low Q having well over 200K views. But even weirder is that Warner Brothers seems to have created like every movie in Hollywood, cause usually the claim comes from them. I had that with movies like troy, gladiator etc etc when I tried to upload more clips at the same time.

I really want to upload more and more clip like this one, some more minutes clips too, but I really dont want my account deleted like wel all do?

  • @Menorius

It may be the music they are claiming copyright on. I've seen it done on swedish parody dubs of LotR. They got muted due to a copyright claim on the music. Absolutely fucking ridiculous. The Warner Brothers company are real cunts. But if you find that the copyright claim made on your video is not by the company that is supposed to make it, you can dispute it.

  • EPIC FILMS!!!!

  • Freakin love this scene.

  • 1:09...touch me

  • ugh! the elf at 1:09 keeps getting to me..sexayyy

  • The Marines have landed.

  • we want movie lotr: War of the North

  • best scene and song:)

  • Haldir!!!

  • @ElvenWarrior17 : His death was just as worse as the death of The Lion King.

  • I found this scene a little cringe worthy.

  • @danielqmul : Sorry, but what's a cringe?

  • Spectacular and impressive, the best scene from LOTR...

  • @ncaso : Absolutely. ;-)

  • amazing scene :)

  • this one never gets boring:)

  • I think this is due to the fact that the movies left out a lot of the other battles going on at the same time that the elves *did* take part in

  • I can fap to this.

  • Now THIS is an epic entrance! I get shivers down my spine whenever i watch it!

  • this is one of my favorite scenes from TTT but the HD makes it even better!

  • @Danie9989 Indeed, this was not in the books but never mind,it shows that the

    last alliance was still alive.
