  • responsiveness.

  • Do we need 6211 or any thing cheaper (i saw in NI's website, 6009 , for $150) works ?

  • Where can we get halifax sensor ? What type is that ?

  • Is the Labview software available to download?

  • @nazh09 30 days evaluation version is. Full full version you have to pay.

  • Did you need a opamp? If yes, ghow did you connect it ? do you have a circuitry ? I need help

  • thanks for sharing

  • Strange how this video is practically the same as this video.....

    youtube.com/watch?v=6UsthOhQ9xE&feature=related

Those PID gains are no where near close to what they should be.

  • Great job!

How much did the hardware cost for this experiment?

  • @laskjdgx the DAQ itself is around 1300$ (in Europe), no wonder they dont say it aloud.

Still struggling to find an alternative at a decent pricelevel.

  • @valordk There is now a much cheaper solution for DAQ: LabVIEW Interface for Arduino (LIFA) Toolkit. Atmega is not as accurate or fast but for a hobbyist it's all you need.

  • @NafElectronics Wow, thanks a alot. Are they faster than the cheapest NI DAQ for simple PID?

  • we used labvolt .... what a shit program.

  • lol ... badly calibrated PID values

  • @adi1133

Dude, you comment is over ambiguous.... She is probably running many programs on the PC so that it lags...

And really PCs are very very bad on real time jobs..........

  • @TrickyNekro nah pcs aren't bad at handling realtime jobs, but they could be better for sure. you won't beat an fpga with a pc,that's true^^

  • Excellent job:

I have a question. I am learning labview by myself. What will happen if you do not change the PID values? I mean those output ranges which you changed to 5 V... if you leave 100, then will your PID generate 100V or?

I am thankful for your reply.

  • @femtophysiker

a 7 month late reply... lol

I believe your DAQ assistant can only generate up to 5V of power, since that is the most power your USB port can supply.
