Fun, for about a week. Firefight is the same thing... Campaign is super easy. Online is the same... Bungie failed. And no, I didn't buy the new Call of Duty. I heard it's like the first modern warfare, and I hated that one. That's why I didn't follow the hype and I got L4D2.

No, it's not. Halo is an overmilked franchise devoid of any originality. CoD is brilliant, revolutionary, and the greatest FPS of all time, anyone who would actually buy halo 3 over Cod is insane.

Call of Duty Call of Duty 2 Coll of Duty 3 Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Call of Duty 5: World at War Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2 Call of Duty: United Offensive Call of Duty: Finest Hour Call of Duty: Roads to Victory And that's not including all the expansions. A true gamer would buy Halo 3. Maybe Halo 3 and CoD, but Halo 3 should come first for many reasons. Lucky for you, these comment boxes are to short to even begin listing why.

Yes? And your point is? CoD has been around for years, int he short space of time that Halo have been around, they have managed to make 3 games, 2 of which were good, one was mediocre. As well as ODST, and an anime. Microsoft have put all of their hopes and dreams into Halo, and they want to cash in on all of it. Halo is okay at best, it doesn't do anything truly outstanding. It's a fun game to play, but not one which is a true competer for game of the year. True gamer my ass.

By "True Gamer", I'm not just blindly throwing that phrase around to try to get a point across. If any point is intended by it, however, it's that Halo is more fair. Everyone starts with the same guns, no perks, ranks, anything to increase your survivability more than your opponents. True Gameplay.

Also, I have to somewhat agree that Microsoft was just trying to squeeze the franchise for all it is worth.

It definitely deserved Game of the Year, however, considering all of it's industry firsts.

I agree, Halo online is the dominant Online FPS, hwoever, the single-player and mutliplayer campaigns belong soley to CoD. Honestly, I'm too tired to argue, I'll get back to you tomorrow.

I have only experienced CoDs campaign a few times, and even though I did not get the full effect (Mainly because I am clueless in that world, guns, controls, etc.), I would have to agree that CoD has a better campaign. It's online play also leaves a lot to be desired.

Yes, I know that the online isn't perfect, and in many ways it's infrerior to Halo, however, overall I think that if you're goign to buy a game, you wouldn't choose Halo 3 over CoD.

I suppose I can accept that as your opinion, but if you want steady, consistent gameplay, with many new features (Forge, Theater...) and an amazing sci-fi plot (Granted you are focused enough to follow along and pay attention.), then Halo is much better.

Halo, better storyline, no doubt. However, CoD, specifically CoD4, brought many new features as well, and I can't really think of a more consistent not to mention extremely fun gameplay experience as CoD, still, each to his own I suppose.

Agreed. Let's end this argument on a good note. CoD is more for people who enjoy realistic, tactical gameplay.

Halo is more for people that enjoy gameplay that is fair for all players, all the time, and has a variety of creation tools, mainly for Machinima or out-of-game entertainment.

They are both good games, and each has it's pro's and con's.
