optrex1....Ford does this on purpose, because it's easy to mod the GT. Ford keeps the price down and lets you decide to mod your stang the way you want. Add a an aftermarket S/C you could end up with over 400hp. So 315hp is a good number to build power from. It will be cheaper and more reliable to mod over the camaro or challenger, those cars have weak bottom ends that can't handle the boost without modifying them. The stang remains the best bang for the money. Period.
Any bottom end, that is not buit for FI will break. I've seen 4.6 blown all over the place. If you want to defend yourself please Include some facts. The Cobra 4.6 block is forged thats why it handles the blower's boost incredibley well!
