Inheritance - Katatonia - Night is the new day

Not everyone has to like every album Katatonia's put out. All I know is that they were most pleased with this album than any other. Jonas said himself he feels happy with his vocals, and that wasn't true in the December Souls era.

This album is rich with raw emotion, and no album of theirs hasn't been. The sort of emotion found in each is different, but the darkness has never left their sound. NitND is a different sort of Katatonia, and, like the members themselves, it is my favorite.

im pretty disappointed with this album.. theyve gone completley soft, their lyrics are still amazing but the music has gone too stiff..theres no emotionm:(

@MaDGriZz78 I think there's plenty of emotion! This song is very emotional! The whole album is! Expecially the song "Departer", chilling. Just amazing album all around! Maybe there's not the emotion that you're looking for...

I just love the whole album, I never thought they would better LFDGD but I think with Night is the New Day they have done just that.

Every song is superb, it just get's better with each playing.

I am sorry but except of Nephilim and Longest year this album is BORING...

I am really disappointed - this band has nothing to do with "Discouraged Ones", not mentioning "Brave Murder..." or "For Funerals..."

I sort of agree. I find most Katatonia songs take a few listens though, but I liked TGCD more I feel.

However I still love old Katatonia, and new Katatonia. This albums still worth buying IMHO.

Yes, in a way this is tough love - I will get it too, but I am not so happy like in the past. I wonder if this is the right path of development - fancy production, tons of keys, super effects but MUSIC has slipped through the fingers a bit...

Anyway, some tracks are growing a bit in my head, Longest Year and Nephilim, New Night, too, but the rest is... I dunno
