  • loved the veiled reference to stephen fry at around 5:35

  • If you want to see him acting with his normal voice i'd recommend blackadder goes 4th. He plays a dimwit English soldier during WW1. Its very different to house.

  • I can't believe the audience aren't laughing at EVERYTHING he says!.. Wrong audience! Do you even know who Hugh Laurie IS??

  • He looks like Gimli's son...

  • OMG! He has a British accent!

  • @Ikkauku206 Well, he is british

  • @ollyboy85 Yeah, but on House he sounds American so it's easy to get confused

  • @Ikkauku206 Thats just his amazing american accent, i thought he was american at first

  • Is that Eric Cantona??? 0:22

  • im doing this interview for my english thing :3

  • It's impossible to not like Hugh Laurie

  • What's with the beard?

  • Bearded Hugh isn't the Hugh I remember :(

  • Everybody lies

  • Epic Beard Time.

  • Here he looks like George Clooney in Syriana

  • One of the few men who actually look great with a full beard :D

  • see the dislike bar? nah, me neither

  • @garethkielty Yes, I can just about see it. It's the size of Justin Beaver's penis.

  • He had a beard?

  • What a hobo-look :D

  • It's a tumor!

  • eric cantona - the king!

  • Oh no, don't overdo the beard thing. Love the unshaven look as House, but this is too much. Still ridiculously Hot though.

  • aaaaaccchhhhhhh full beard.....

  • to me he will always be the Prince Regent!

  • it's weird to see him walking without a stick

  • the hell how much ahir he got on his face O.O

  • Hugh Laurie is famous for his roles in Blackadder, Jeeves and Wooster and his duo with Stephen Fry, so I don't know why people keep confusing his real accent. House isn't his most famous role!

  • @garply101 its what he's most recognized for, in america at least

  • @garply101 It actually is his most famous role, viewer wise.

  • @garply101 that's because most people never explored those programs - I for one, have and loved them. People as a rule are quite narrow in their likes and dislikes. Good for you for being different!

  • 2:15 when he says "stories", it sounds american and at 2:19 when he says "thing",, it sounds american. he's spoken with an american accent for so many seasons now....his accent is part english and part american :) go house!

  • CANTONA

  • Hugh's stare at 5:20 sent a shiver down my spine :P

  • Comment removed

  • Eric, Hugh and Dustin chilling out in a room together, holy fucking shit I'd give my left nut to be a fly on the wall of 3 exceedingly interesting people.

  • first I tought that other guy on the sofa was Mahmud Ahmadinežad

  • KING ERIC

  • Santa!

  • hugh laurie should do movies.

  • ITS LUPUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @J3TF1RE It's never Lupus ! :)))

  • Hugh Laurie with this beard looks a lot like Dan Greenwalt from Turn 10 Studios, the company which makes Forza Motorsport games.

  • He would be an AWESOME grandpa xD

  • Hugh would be so glad hes actually talking to a talk show host with a brain, you get that when you leave america

  • Jonathan Ross! Why don't we have a show like this in America?

  • @perigosobrauner You do! Late Late show is awesome!

  • @crazypianolady Craig Ferguson can't compare to Wossy. Best talk show host in America is Jon Stewart.

  • @realhiphopfanami Really? I prefer Craig cos I like his silliness! Not seen much of Jon Stewart on youtube. Wossy has a new show on the ITV channel and I don't think it's as good as Friday Night With Jonathan Ross show. Shame he moved really but it's good cos taxpayers shouldn't pay a £6 million salary to him!

  • @realhiphopfanami How in the world did Craig Ferguson get a talk show in the U.S. he was a fairly unsuccessful comedian here that couldn't get a gig as a guest on a chat show.

  • i'm still waiting to see him on top gear.

  • what was eric cantona doing there?

  • @GrayJeager Being interviewed?

  • @8BitHappens LOL

  • He's a tosser

  • he sounds so different with his accent but hes so funny lol

  • osama?

  • Because of the episodic repetition in House, Hugh Laurie is the only reason to watch. He is consistently brilliant.

  • I find it cool that when out of character even his body language is less American.

  • @JAB63096 thats has go to be the most stupidest thing i ever read in my life.. "his body language is less american" hahah .. cause i thought his body language was less hungarian.. or more like less italian .

lmao.. what a retard you are..

  • @SaulMeyersz You are calling me stupid? "most stupidest"...

  • @JAB63096 im not calliing you stupid i wrote down that has go to be the most stupidest thing 'I EVER READ IN MY LIFE." but now im calling you a mental retard, as i can tell now your just plain dumb and ignorant. especially after making stupid comments like "his body language is less american.. ahhaah

im going to tell that to everyone know.. hahahhahahhhahaahhha

  • @SaulMeyersz Wow. You have some issues. All I was saying is that the hand gestures he uses and his facial expressions are far different (intentionally or not) then they are on House M.D.

  • Lol i completely forgot he could walk perfectly fine. He got up to walk to ross and i was like where the fucks his cane? Lmao

  • i dont like the beard.... :\

  • a guy from Eton College with a walnut sized brain? Who are ya foolin' Laurie?! XD

  • @EchoParkShaun .."walnut sized brain?"

What a sad, envious prick. If Laurie's brain is the size of a walnut with that sort of talent, it would have to be a severely overgrown walnut. In any case, someone making such a ridiculous comment would have a pea brain in comparison.

  • @nuntana2 echoparkshaun was referring to hugh's comment about himself where he jokingly said he has a walnut sized brain

  • @thisissparta51 Thank yooou! :D

  • @nuntana2 I was fucking quoting what he sad you miserable twat! I know Laurie is a proper genius! He went to Eton for god's sake, the most expensive and best school in the world! Anyway, my point is you little bastard is that i was joking!!

  • I've overcome my Laurie in America bias and am about to do a major catch up of House. I vaguely remember this interview. It's entertaining seeing Laurie back on British TV, obviously this is a couple of years ago. I'd love to see him doing British television again one day

  • it's so weird to hear his real accent

    love hugh

  • the only bad thing that i learned from this interview is how amazingly bald he's getting.

  • He's sexy that heavily bearded!

  • Like my old English Teach used to say, Pathos is not a literative word meaning any inclination in direction but not absolutely without, Pathos is a directive of emotion.

  • IT'S GORDON FREEMAN!

  • It's like a white English Morgan Freeman.

  • That is one hell of a beard. :U

  • Love love love hugh laurie - wish i could see more of jeeves and fry and laurie on tv!!!

  • eric cantona dustin hoffman and hugh laurie. imagine dinner with those three

  • The first question that popped into my head after seeing this video's title was: Who the hell is Jonathan Ross?

  • @ekku1979 well, it's pretty much like a Britishman asking "Who the hell is Letterman".

  • @neverlandfw Well...I'm not from Britain and I'm not from the US. I've known about Letterman for a couple of decades but never once heard of Jonathan Ross

  • @ekku1979 well, that's to be expected as we're all consuming the Americanized globalization, my friend. Anyway, JRoss is one of the most famous TV presenters in Britain, as Laurie was one of the most famous comedians, even before everyone came to know him through House. Thought you were American though. Cool guitar btw. ;-)

  • BE. MY. .............................. uncle. :)

  • am i the only person who can still see Hugh as George from Blackadder?..

  • Sitting beside Cantona !!!

  • I cant tell if Hugh is either a comedy genius who is so dry no one in the audience understands the jokes or if he is insane OR if he just isnt funny....

Im going with option 1 lol

  • cant believe hes english i was totally convinced he was american!

  • @d1353lp0w3r ?!. By this, do you imply that you had not known who he was before House?

By God, were I in charge, I'd have you dragged through the streets of London and summarily executed.

  • @The1stPoster Hear, hear!

  • "do you forget what leg is limp?"

    house: *STARE "NO"

awww hahahaha id stare at his the same XDD

  • Am I the only one who thinks that I wish Hugh Laurie was our uncle or something like that? what an amazing man!

  • "there's always an unusual medical problem."

I'm really wondering what diagnosis he gave to the man who's head is missing in the pic that pops up

  • @thpaniard owww the man with rabies problem that his wife doesnt want the top of his head chopped off..but there he is. head topless XD

  • I love the beard!

    More bearded Hugh Laurie please.

  • yum yum yum yum yum yum yum...yummy yummy yumzers!! I have lusted after this man since the days of A bit of Fry and Laurie. I'm actually a bit put our that other people find him hot now!!

  • In this interview, Hugh Laurie reminds me of Jeff Bridges as Kevin Flynn in the new Tron movie. Freaking me out.

  • I hate the beard.. gross :S

  • Great fun, but what has he done to his hair and beard?

  • beard=eewwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *gag*

  • Beard.

  • is this show on American tv at all?

  • 23

  • pause at 02:42

  • ARGH too much beard :/

  • Why were they filming him before he cam out?

  • @dabirdmonkey it was the standard setup for the show, they have a green room backstage where all the guests hang out and can watch on the monitors (tis where they walk out from) but they keep a camera on them for reactions and the like.

  • Hugh Laurie new Chuck Norris

    spread the word

  • @ChrisS1mp Hugh Laurie and Chuck Norris are both awesome legends on camera.

Hugh Laurie is also a great bloke off-camera. Chuck Norris, on the other hand, writes tedious political books. He seems to think that all of America's problems can be solved by (1) forcing Christianity on everyone from the first day of school and (2) strict immigration control.

  • Hugh Lauwie!

  • aaaaa anybody noticed there's hoffman in the backroom? O_o WOW

  • Hugh and Jonathon in one room oh god exploding ahdsfoadslfkjaskdhfpe <3

  • Sexy beard or what??

  • TOO. MUCH.BEARD.EPICNESS.

  • Comment removed

  • That beard is FUCKING EPIC!!

  • @aligatorsandwitch72 Yeah, that's a fucking beard ^^

  • Cantonaa!!! manchester united!! and hugh AWESOME

  • HATE the beard!!!

  • Eric Cantonaaa

  • I miss this show.

  • Transcribe Audio is still funny.

  • My goodness. Mr. Laurie seems to have contracted a beard the simillitude of which to the one once worn by a certain mr. Franky Boyle is rather uncanny...

  • It's funny seeing the difference between this show and the Americian ones which are just all the same lol.

  • "I'll be around 10" XD I love Fry and Laurie's relationship, always have. I think the best part is they know people think they're like an old married couple, and quite often play on that ^^

  • Is that Jesus with short hair?..

  • I love it when they bring Stephen Fry into the conversation!!!

  • get rid of the beard

  • God, finally an interview with Hugh Laurie without all those repetitious questions about his bike, his accent and his dad. Hugh Laurie is awesome! Thanks for sharing.

  • @foroughshafiee agreed, that is because Jonathan Ross is the best host there is (in anything he do, he is incredible)

  • @foroughshafiee Yes, it's a relief, but you have to consider the factor of location. The US only really know him for his role as House whereas Brits have been exposed to a number of his appearances, most notably Blackadder. Saying that, even if interviewers know something obscure about Hugh they'd like to discuss, they have to think about their viewers. Viewers people, viewers. That's what it's all about.

  • @foroughshafiee All of these are mentioned in part 2

  • Ieeeeuw!!! Hugh...shave the beard!!!

    Please, this is an emergency.

  • 6:30 very funny. how he said.... that would be just a CHEAP TRICK

  • Eric canonaaaaaaaaa

  • Cantona.... :D

  • HOUSE!!!!!!

  • hugh laurie and eric cantona in the same green room?? surprised the room didnt explode from coolness!

  • Things Hugh Laurie never heard in an interview before:

"We have a medical emergency and need a fake american doctor", "Hugh, your show is such a massive hit", "I try to guess the problem during the episode and see if I can get it right", "Do you ever put something in your shoe to make yourself limb"

    /sarcasm

    What a rubbish interview/-er.

  • @1p2o3i Well....yeah, i mean, it's jonathan ross, of course it's a rubbish interview, he's a useless turd, a worthless cunty excuse for a human, a red carpet whore who turns up for the sake of turning up! Glad he's pissed off from the tv!

  • @TheRandyChimp If you don't like Jonathan Ross, why the hell are you watching him interview Hugh Laurie?

I think he's a brilliant interviewer, this is because he doesn't just ask 'What's this new movie you've been in?' or 'What's your favourite colour?' like a lot of rather lame interviewers ask. He asks what everyone else is thinking and curious about. Like I said, if you don't like it, don't watch it.

  • @stonemonkey999 I'm watching it because of Hugh Laurie. That's only reason I watch his interviews, because he sometimes has decent guests. Doesn't mean I have to like Ross. He's a smug, pretentious turd. Being a dickhead doesnt make him funny.

  • @TheRandyChimp Wait, let's think about this. Friday Night With Jonathan Ross ran for 18 series meaning he was a 'smug, pretentious turd' then how did he manage to do that? He's a likable person, perhaps not to you but that's a different matter.

  • @stonemonkey999 Exactly, it's my opinion. What, you click your fingers and I should like him? I'm not allowed to watch an interview with someone I'm a fan of because I don't like the interviewer? Oh sorry, I forgot about the rules you'd written for my life, I apologise. Is there anything else, sir? Shine your shoes? Get your shopping? Clean your car?

  • @TheRandyChimp No I just think it's unfair that all you do in your comment is offend the interviewer instead of praise the guest.

  • @stonemonkey999 I was actually responding to a comment that was already made. If I'd made a standalone comment, I would have probably just focussed on how awesome Hughs beard is!

  • @TheRandyChimp I can't watch his show over here and I don't know him but you seem to be spot-on judging from this bit.

  • @1p2o3i Thanks :)

  • I love Hugh Laurie

  • Jonathan Woss is an extweemley overwated and unfunny man.

  • @uncled39

The main reason he's liked, and the main reason you will find particular videos with comments like "Ross rules" etc...

Is because he has captured some good interviews. Simple as that...

Guests have a laugh, do what they want, conversation never slows too much...

It's also an opportunity to get to know an artist a little more.

I could think of much worse, who won't even let guests speak...

I wouldn't call him "the greatest talk show host" by a long shot. There's no such thing.

  • As an American, i can pretty much distinguish a Pro and Con situation with Johnathan Ross:

Pro: he introduced an entire generation of Englishmen (and Women) to Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer, which i'm more than open to getting on my knees and kissing his feet for

Con: When his BBC show aired here in the U.S., he made the cardinal sin of being interview by Chelsea Handler, which pretty much spelled the beginning of the end as far as i was concerned

  • Jonathan Ross pawned by Hugh Laurie.

  • @Francesko263

    Huh?

Your acting like this is some kind of political face off?

  • @ExtremeBogom A kind of witty speech competition.

  • @ExtremeBogom

    Damn that was fast response.

    You win :D.

  • Things that Hugh Laurie shouldn't have to suffer through:

    1) Americans saying "So, you're not American"

    2) Brits harping on about Stephen Fry

    3) House of Fun or Our House by Madness

  • @andygriff1987 about nr.1, I think a lot of english actors which are famous in America have a the same problem xD

  • i bet he is fed up of getting played on with madness.

its always "house of fun" or "our house"

  • fake

  • holy shit, this beard is badass! love it!!!

  • Hugh speaks like Martin Tyler,,the EPL commentator

  • 22 people have lupus

  • @FastMonkeyBluePants

    haha nice one :)

  • @FastMonkeyBluePants Can't be, it's never lupus

  • @FastMonkeyBluePants

    its never lupus :P

  • @FastMonkeyBluePants

I can't imagine I'm the first to say this, but .... it's NEVER lupus XD

  • @EnigmaDrath Shit! I was just about to say that! You bastard!

  • the beard reminds me of... mel gibson

  • Oh, yeah, I would devour him for breakfast, lunch and dinner with the beard. And dessert. And midmorning snack as well.
