Kashdekash. So that mean i was just some years old than you then. This music was release in 1990, i could remember then i was in Jss1. Time fly like rocket, i`m now a father of two mixed race kids.
I grew up dancing Ozzidi songs, some life at his mohter's town Nawfia near Enuw-Ukwu, every new yea's eve. I never saw as someone mortal. Your departure has left matchless void in musical message.
I did not know this great maestro has passed on to the great beyond. Listening to his music as I have often done, I never knew he was physically gone. I remember him as a boy, and always comparing him to another maestro, Sir Victor Uwaifo. Yes, he will be missed by those who appreciate his message-packed music. This man impacted the world with his music. Like Mariam Makeba, he fought political injustices and neocolonialism in Africa. He was a hero and still is, even in death. RIP great one!!!
One question I'd like to ask is , was he rich b4 he died? Bcos i know quite well that most of the Nigerian musicians of the early '90's and before never made the kind of money that the present afro hip hop guys are making now..
Does it really matter if he was rich or not.We came to this world wit notin & definitely we will not leave with anytin. What will it profit a man to gain the whole world & loose his soul.RIP Sony Okosuns,1 of the finest Nigerian musicians.
may his gentle soul rest in peace i love this man, please if anyone has his album GREAT CHANGE should please upload it ,Evan Sunny Okunsun you will be grately missed ,may your soul rest in the bossom of your God almighty amen .

@kashdekash Funny. I was just thinking where the children in the video are now.
It must be nostalgic to see this. Can't imagine the rush of retrospect.
