the whistling got my attention quick! a few years ago at what is now one of my reg spots for feeding my hairy 9 footer friends, we observed a mimicking whistler whom turned out to not be a human or a bird, The location they're at is pure desert and you can clearly see all incoming cars or people. its also not on a trail of any sorts and happens to be near a huge canal, a mountains and plenty of lush plants and mule deer to feed from. they actually whistle the wolf call when i do it.
if you look at the clip on..606 or 607 you will see a dark shadow..then it disappears??? it's behind the tree on the left side???i think you caught something?
At around @6:00 your filming something thats one the left side of the tree. Its clearly darker then its surroundings. It looks to be pretty low to teh ground. When you zoom out its clearly not a tree.
HA! You whistle like me, My brothers used to laugh at me. Then I found out they couldn't either. Was your son leery? How old is he? Same story, the whistling and fake bird calls and the answers back, a lot of you guys describe the same thing. Interesting. Nan
My wry sense of humor kicked in and I was chuckling as I imagined two researchers on different trails thinking the other is Sasquatch and whistling to each other while video taping each others responses. I apologize, I couldn't help myself. I agree that it is not sounding quite 'right', not a natural bird song. Otherwise I would say intriguing and inconclusive.
you ever heard a squirrel???? sounds just like that! This is an utter waste man, c'mon! Woodpeckers? Ever heard one?? Sounds like a wow, WOODKNOCK! I don't disrespect you Billy but dude, c'mon!
can't believe how quiet bf results have been over past 12 months. seems there are more people than ever researching but i find the results are not matching the efforts. maybe the creature is wise to efforts and has retreated even farther ?who knows
@allenst It depends on what you consider to be results. If it's pictures you seek, it's same shit different day. GOOD LUCK! You're not dealing with something stupid. The people doing the research treat this being like a creature or animal (something less intelligent). And 9.9 times out of 10 the sas are more intelligent than those that seek them w/cams. I might compare it to our military encountering a rag tag rebel...not a snow ball's chance in hell. I thought you understood them better.
@cprahl007 Yea my mouth was dry and I can not whistle very good. I will work on enhancing the volume and post that, there were regular bird calls mixed in so I know at times it is hard to hear it on the video, it was very easy to hear out in the woods..
Scotty,is there anyway u can isolate the return call and increase the audio on a separate track so we can knock down the bird songs and just hear you and the return whistle ?
hi guys , its look for me like a common bird as well but if u got movement on ur left and the birds started like that, I believe then maybe something triggered the birds to start it, I am originally from Uruguay and back there birds are use for detecting movement coz some birds starts to sign if they feel in danger or to alert others birds, its very useful in hunting activities but i donut know what kind of bird u got there.also some shadows on the video looks very suspicious and out of place.
its a good catch.....need more studiyng of the sound. im sure there is a lot the recorder doesnt pick up, like movement, you said it was going to the left ? hard to tell from here. it is strange it would only answer you w/2 notes ? it does sound like a common song bird.
