Proof Victoria doesn't have a mediterranean climate. Cant trust anything on wikipedia anyhow. One time i looked up McDonalds and it said they get their meat from Ethiopian children. Thats why universities and even some high schools wont let you use wiki as a source for citations.

They're not much better drivers in rain and we do get a lot of that. It's just that in B.C. it's too damn easy to get a driving licence. Banning automatics would help too. Then people would actually have to learn to drive!

Those of us who grew up in areas where weather like this is common might poke fun at the drivers, but Victoria doesn't have the budget to address winter road conditions that other places automatically take into consideration (sand, salt, snowplows). Plus, Victoria doesn't normally sell and abundance of winter tires, and that make a big difference on how vehicles drive in the snow.

here in campbell river it never got warmer than 0 degrees celcius for 11 days! at its highest point the snow at our house was around 2 or 3 feet!(if you live on vancouver island you know thats alot for this area).

Way too funny! We rarely get snow... and when we do, everyone just has to drive their car ... with semi-bald, all-season tires on it, and they panic as soon as they start to do a tiny slide.... which gets them really sliding!! Why dont the dumb-asses stay home!

I love on the island also, although born and raised in Ottawa.....man I love Victoria, but you people really dont know how to drive in the snow, like a deers caught in head lights....I think if you dont know how to drive in the snow, stay at home! cuz you drive me crazy!!!
