Wow, lotta ignorant people here just like the rest of YouTube. Gilles is a genius. The 300 is one of the most popular cars on the road. Collectively, the 300/Charger/Magnum have sold millions of units with a pretty goddamn high rate of customer satisfaction - I love both mine. Dodge/Chrysler isn't the same company it was in the late 80's when all it could do was churn out crap.

The power required costs far less per person than gas, also it is more than made up for by the fact that transporting/refining/extracti­ng oil is energy intensive. Also, I'm quite sure that there are safe ways to dispose of battery waste already.

What about coal and gas burning power plants that provide electricity? What about the transmission losses getting that electricity to your home? Seems like burning the gas directly in your car is more efficient.

Yet, with gasoline cars, much of the energy is wasted in heat. This is much less with electricity. Electricity is also much cheaper per unit of power than gasoline, no transport. Not much transmission losses either. $10-15 more per month per household is a reasonable estimate.

Look. The price of even the cheapest American made auto cost more than the property some of the prospective buyers live on. If you`ve been to Apalachia lately you will see a $40K pickup sitting in the driveway of a trailer or small house not worth more than 20k. The vehicle is necessary for that person. Now. Why does an automobile cost more than real estate when it does nothing but depreciate?

No Ralph was just a senior designer for chrysler, he didn't make all of the final decisions in the brand identity. The thing you don't know about Ralph is that he teaches at one of the premier automotive design schools in the world so he directly influences all of the new up and coming designers that help create the automobiles that people love over chrysler. This man has a lot of influence beyond just his job at Chrysler. Give him more respect and credit. If you don't know...now you know.
